Dragalge @ Black Sludge
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
IVs: 24 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Sludge Wave
- Flip Turn
- Protect
Dragalge is an excellent pick on Dragon teams due to its Poison typing, being able to take Fairy-type moves comfortably. Dragalge also can uniquely set Toxic Spikes that can be very detrimental to Fairy and Psychic teams, remove Toxic Spikes, and use Flip Turn to safely bring in teammates such as Dracovish, Hydreigon, and Dragapult. An Adaptability-boosted Sludge Wave allows Dragalge to OHKO most Fairy-types aside from Klefki, and with Protect, it is able to scout Choice-locked threats such as Indeedee-M and Gardevoir. Kyurem is a fantastic partner for Dragalge, as it loves to take advantage of the Toxic Spikes Dragalge sets on the field and can exploit Pokemon such as Toxapex, which is often a switch-in to Dragalge. Substitute + Dragon Dance Dragapult also benefits from Dragalge's support. Finally, Duraludon is able to handle physical setup threats such as Scizor and Mimikyu and remove them with Foul Play in addition to setting Stealth Rock for the team.
