Dragapult is a versatile Pokemon that can shut down Choice-Itemed Pokemon with a combination of Substitute and Disable, while also being able to defeat stall Pokemon. Curse can help Dragapult takedown stall Pokemon namely Galarian Corsola, Chansey, and Type: Null, by using Curse then followed with Disable once they use a recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Rest. With Disable, Dragapult can deal with Choice-Itemed Pokemon such as Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Choice Band Crustle, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z, by using Substitute first, followed after with Disable to force them into Struggle. Phantom Force is extremely useful since it can gain an extra turn of Curse damage, while also being reliable damage. The EV's allow Dragapult to tank Flash Cannon from Choice Specs Magnezone after using Curse, tank Flare Blitz from Alolan Marowak after using Curse which activates Sitrus Berry, so Alolan Marowak can't use Poltergeist. Jolly Nature is to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon.

Dragapult utilizes Substitute and Disable against Choice-Itemed Pokemon and Curse which can weaken Pokemon for Phantom Force to finish off or, break stall Pokemon after Dragapult Disables their recovery. Against Magnezone, Dragapult uses Curse off the bat, which then activates Sitrus Berry, allowing Dragapult to tank Flash Cannon from Choice Specs Magnezone, then Disable into Phantom Force kills Choice Specs Magnezone. Against Weakness Policy Magnezone, Flash Cannon will deal less than 50%, this leaves Dragapult with enough HP to use Substitute to stall a turn then, use Phantom Force to finish off Magnezone. Against Alolan Marowak, Dragapult uses Curse to activate Sitrus Berry, to make Poltergeist useless, against Dragapult, and then use Phantom Force right after to finish off Alolan Marowak. Fairy-type such as Sylveon and Aromatisse are good partners since they defeat faster threats namely Haxorus, Galarian Darmanitan, and faster Pokemon like Zeraora. While also dealing with bulky offensive Pokemon like Primarina and make great type synergy of Dragon / Fairy core. In return, Dragapult can beat stronger threats such as Choice Band Rillaboom, Galarian Darmanitan, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z.

Dragapult is a versatile Pokemon that can shut down Choice-Itemed Pokemon with a combination of Substitute and Disable, while also being able to defeat stall Pokemon. Curse can help allows Dragapult to takedown stall Pokemon namely Galarian Corsola, Chansey, and Type: Null, by hindering their longevity and subsequently disabling recovery options. using Curse then followed with Disable once they use a recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Rest. With Disable, Dragapult can (This belongs in the next paragraph.) The combination of Disable and Substitute allows Dragapult to deal with Choice-Itemed Pokemon that Dragapult outspeeds such as Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Choice Band Crustle, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z. by using Substitute first, followed after with Disable to force them into Struggle. (This belongs in the next paragraph.) Phantom Force is extremely useful since it can gain an extra turn of Curse damage, while also being reliable damage. (What matchups is this useful in? Provide some examples. I'm not 100% sure since I'm not much of a curse pult user, but you can ask potato or smely and they'll probably know. The obvious scenario is being able to use Phantom Force where you need one more turn of Curse damage but can't sub. Specific examples (2 is fine) would be really beneficial here.) The EV's allow Dragapult to tank Flash Cannon from Choice Specs Magnezone after using Curse tank Flare Blitz from Alolan Marowak after using Curse which activates Sitrus Berry, so Alolan Marowak can't use Poltergeist. The HP EVs allow for Dragapult to activate Sitrus Berry after curse, with Def and Spd then allowing Dragapult to survive Alolan Marowak's Flare Blitz and Choice Specs Magnezone's Flash Cannon respectively. Jolly Nature is to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon. (Missing discussion of Sitrus Berry and Infiltrator, be sure to include that.)

Dragapult utilizes a combination of Curse, Substitute, and Disable to defeat any Choice-item Pokemon that are slower, barring Crustle which is reliant on Rock Blast hits. In matchups against potentially slower Choice-item Pokemon such as Magnezone, Haxorus, and Galarain Darmanitan, Dragapult should immediately use Substitute followed by Disable, forcing the opponent into struggle, which Dragapult can then finish off with a combination of Substitute and Phantom Force. Substitute and Disable against Choice-Itemed Pokemon and Curse which can weaken Pokemon for Phantom Force to finish off or, break stall Pokemon after Dragapult Disables their recovery. Against Magnezone, Dragapult uses Curse off the bat, which then activates Sitrus Berry, allowing Dragapult to tank Flash Cannon from Choice Specs Magnezone, then Disable into Phantom Force kills Choice Specs Magnezone. Against Weakness Policy Magnezone, Flash Cannon will deal less than 50%, which leaves Dragapult with enough HP to use Substitute to stall a turn then, use Phantom Force to finish off Magnezone. Against Magnezone, Dragapult should always use Curse immediately as there are no Magneone sets capable of KOing Dragapult after Curse given the recovery from Sitrus Berry. Against Alolan Marowak Dragapult uses Curse to activate Sitrus Berry and thus negate Poltergeist, which is then followed by Phantom Force as Alolan-Marowak is incapable of a 2HKO without Poltergeist. to activate Sitrus Berry, to make Poltergeist useless, against Dragapult, and then use Phantom Force right after to finish off Alolan Marowak. When facing the aforementioned Stall pokemon such as Galarian Corsola, Chansey, and Type: Null, Dragapult should use Curse then followed with Disable once they use a recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Rest. Fairy-type such as Primarina, Sylveon and Aromatisse are good partners since they defeat faster threats namely Choice Scarf users such as Haxorus and Galarian Darmanitan, and naturally faster Pokemon like Zeraora. While also dealing with bulky offensive Pokemon like Primarina and make great type synergy of Dragon / Fairy core. In return, Dragapult can beat stronger threats such as Choice Band Rillaboom, Galarian Darmanitan, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z.
