Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Flying
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Tera Blast
- Earthquake
- Encore
Dragonite flies higher than ever before thanks to Terastalization! Backed up by good natural bulk bolstered by Multiscale and Dragonite becomes a fearsome OU sweeper. With Tera Blast Flying Dragonite shatters would-be checks like Great Tusk and Zamazenta, completely melt Pokemon like Primarina and Dragapult, and muscle through bulky walls like Moltres and Alomomola. Earthquake compliments Tera Blast Flying, being able to hit resists like Garganacl and Kingambit. The last move of choice is Roost, which allows Dragonite to keep itself healthy to grab multiple Dragon Dances. Zapdos and Rotom-Wash completely wall this set and threaten to retaliate with Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp, so Pokémon that can handle them like Raging Bolt is much appreciated. Gholdengo is also another phenonmonal partner for Dragonite, thank to his ability to take on Kyurem, who can tank a +1 Tera Blast and threaten Ice Beam back. Gholdengo does well versus many physical walls like Dondozo and Corviknight, who can greatly stifle Dragonite.
Watch this replay of Dragonite flying high and striking back down on Great Tusk!
