[SET COMMENTS]
Drilbur is one of the premier spinners in the metagame, clearing entry hazards without compromising the user's own while giving a Speed boost and turning into a threatening sweeper in tandem with Swords Dance. Stealth Rock can be run instead of Swords Dance for more utility and residual damage on the opposing team if your team is unable to fit Stealth Rock elsewhere. Berry Juice provides longevity to keep Drilbur healthy, while Eviolite can be used to tank hits better. The EV spread and Jolly nature maximize Speed and allow Drilbur to outspeed 16 Speed Choice Scarf users like Rufflet after a Rapid Spin while providing even number defenses for optimized Eviolite-boosted bulk.
Flying-types such as Vullaby, Rufflet, and Wingull benefit from Drilbur's ability to remove Stealth Rock and check Electric-, Steel-, and Rock-types, making it easier for them to switch in and clean; in turn, they can threaten Grass-types, which Drilbur struggles against. Other Pokemon that are weak to Stealth Rock such as Cutiefly and Vulpix also appreciate Stealth Rock removal; these two also threaten Grass-types, with the former being able to set Sticky Web up to help Drilbur sweep later in the game. Water-types, particularly Corphish, trouble Drilbur, as it has trouble getting past these Pokemon, so Pokemon like Ferroseed and Chinchou that can switch in and threaten Water-types aid Drilbur well.
