This is a three-pokemon team I use for random matchups and battle tower (lately subway). I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting it here and I apologize if there was another forum for such teams which I overlooked.
So, here it goes:
Metagross @ Light Clay
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/228 SpD/28 Def
Nature: Careful (+SpD/-SpA)
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Meteor Mash
- Explosion
EV spread is like that, so both of it's defenses are equal, which seemed reasonable at the time I was building this, and as a matter of fact still does, as it needs to set up both screens, no matter what kind of attacks does the enemy use. The strategy is clear here, after providing the team with it's screens it either attacks with Meteor Mash (and hopefully raises it's Attack) or Explodes if it's HP are dangerously low.
Salamence ♀ @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Nature: Naughty (+Atk/-SpD)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
Hiding behind the screens, Salamence can Dragon Dance once (or more, depends on the opponent) and then go for an Outrage. Earthquake and Flamethrower are just for coverage, while Lum Berry is for healing the confusion afterwards (or any other status problems inflicted for that matter). The non-Attack-reducing (if that's a word) nature is used, so that it's Flamethrower power doesn't get weakened.
Gengar ♀ @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Nature: Modest (+SpA/-Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sucker Punch
- Destiny Bond
With this one, I've had by far the most problems. Originally, it had Sludge Bomb and Thunderbolt instead of Focus Blast and Sucker Punch but I realized I need a priority attack so I decided to make it like that. Nevertheless, Sucker Punch hits extremely weak, so it's basically useful only against those who survive only thanks to Focus Sash. Destiny Bond is the cherry on top of the cake, as it has happened many times that it has killed one opponent more, but the problem occurs when the opponent is faster than Gengar.
So, what do you think? The team is fairly weak, as my winning rate on wi-fi battles is less than 50%. I'm also ready to switch pokemon, apart from Salamence as this team was designed to be build around her.
Thank you in advance for all your answers :)
