Hi
Overview needs an overhaul imo. The points you've got in the overview currently are fine, but I'd add a mention of its good speed with its crit rate, and change the Electric immunity to just Twave- Electric immunity is a bit misleading since most Tbolt users check Dug, while Twave is extremely relevant in this case. Other points that belong in the overview are its lacklustre attack stat and extreme frailty which leaves it 2HKO'd by most attacks. Overall it's a fairly poor choice in OU, but it's not totally unviable.
As for the set I would put it like this:
Earthquake
Slash
Substitute
Body Slam/Rock Slide
Sub is a pretty good option on ground types since they're immune to Twave and lets face it, Dug hasn't got much else up its sleeve. Body Slam is obviously for para, but it should only really be used if you're expecting a Starmie switchin, otherwise you're better off attacking. Rock Slide hits Flying types, but unless they're Articuno, it only barely does more damage than Slash, so I think it's a poor option. Sand Attack and Mimic are just crap.
Scrap additional comments, everything you've got in here belongs in the overview.
C&C
Exeggutor resists EQ, can status, 2HKOs.
Lapras, Slowbro, Starmie and Cloyster all tank its attacks well and retaliate with super effective attacks (Lapras and Cloyster OHKO)
Snorlax can tank its attacks and 2HKOs with Body Slam.
Dragonite and Kingler don't particularly fear Dug and use it as setup fodder.
Zapdos is immune to EQ and can sometimes 2HKO

One thing I'd like to see some discussion on is the best way to use Dugtrio. To me, it seems best suited to being a lategame sweeper that can make the occasional midgame appearance by switching in on Twave to scare out paralysed Zam/Chansey. I guess one big advantage is that it has both a good crit rate and immunity to Twave, which makes it a decent look to even unpara'd Chansey, provided you avoid IB. On the other hand I guess Chansey can gamble a bit by going for the IB then switching out to recover the 40% later on and then suddenly your Dug isn't so effective.
The source of my confusion is I remember some people mentioning it as a niche lead option (might've been Piex's article in the smog, probably elsewhere as well). The thing is I have absolutely no idea why you'd use it as a lead- Starmie destroys it and Zam usually wins (EQ isn't guaranteed 2HKO, Psychic is). Gengar you obviously beat. Jynx is interesting- unless you crit EQ (77% chance of OHKOing, 18% chance overall), or Jynx misses you lose- but Jynx can straight up OHKO Dug with Blizzard, meaning Jynx is nicely weakened but you're already down a mon and you still haven't foddered something to sleep. So let's compare Dug to Zam:
- Starmie shits all over Dug, while Zam can start spreading para, or maybe bait something into throwing early para so it can block sleep. Zam is clearly better.
- Zam usually KOs Dug. Zam dittos are either throw para->switch to Lax on Recover or spam SToss until someone switches their Egg in to get sleep off. Either way, Zam doesn't lose, while Dug vs. Zam just isn't worth it when you consider you're likely to lose.
- 76.6% of the time vs Jynx you end up in the situation described above, which is pretty bad. By contrast Zam will consistently get slept, but will manage to get off Twave and possibly a SToss, the odds of which are roughly the same as Dug winning. Dug's scenarios are much more extreme, and when the worst-case scenario is also the most likely one, that's not a good thing, whereas Zam's worst case scenario is it gets slept in exchange for para. Not so bad when you're talking about arguably the best sleep fodder in the game. So yeah Zam is better vs. Jynx
- Against Gengar, both of them force a switch, usually into Egg, though this isn't guaranteed for Zam. Vs Egg, Dugtrio dishes out almost exactly the same amount of chip damage as Zam, while not having the option of paralysing. I'd say it's roughly equal here.
I could probably do the same thing with Starmie and find that it also outclasses Dug in terms of lead matchups, though they force different plays vs. Gengar, so Dug isn't
entirely overshadowed by Star. Gengar also lures in and weakens Egg, but has different matchups. The point is, why on earth would you lead Dug when those three, particularly Zam, exist?
Edit: Sorry if this part of my post is seen as being off-topic. I guess this kinda thing could easily lead to a tangent
