Dumbledore = cheeky monkey

I think the OP's reasoning is absurd.

But don't any of you have a problem with the issue the OP brought up? It's not the issue of homophobia or hating gay people. In fact, I think gays are generally accepted by the majority of society. It's also not an issue of the actual content of the book- whether Dumbledore loved someone or not, etc. Here's the problem I see...

Although I don't care about it, the fact that Dumbledore was gay had no affect on the events in the story and did not develop the character. It merely changed the readers' views on Dumbledore. I hope we all agree that the fact that Dumbledore is gay does not really change anything in the story (Just look, Rowling stated it after the series was completed). So there must be some kind of other motive. And the most reasonable one would seem that she wants to spread her ideas of gay empowerment. Yes, gay empowerment, not tolerance, not acceptance, but empowerment. It seems pretty inappropriate for her to be doing this.

But whatever, if Rowling wants to spread her views to her readers, she can.

OK, I don't think JKR really cares what people think about the book, She's had the church going at her for promoting witch craft, And who really cares if dumblydore is gay, His brother did things with a goat if anyone cares to remember, but because he wasn't a prominent chracter no-one gives two stuffs.

Allowing Dumbledore to be gay gives good impressions aswell as stopping the films from trying to ruin the books even more with inaccurate accounts (I despise the films they ruin the book) and i think this is one way of trying to give incorrect accounts of how JKR believes HER characters are. By outing Dumbledore she compliments to the gay society by stating they are just like us, they can fall for the pitfalls of love, they can love, and they can look after children, at least she is not a hyprocritcal right winger and making the only gay character in the book Neville.

Now only if J.R.R or Peter Jackson did the same with Frodo and Sam

I don't care, I agree with Kevin Smith on this one, Did you see the look between Frodo and Sam at the end... Now tell me that's not love
