Durant (Psuedo) QC (1/2)

[OVERVIEW]
At first glance, solid Speed and access to Hustle boosted Z moves, Durant would seem like a decent wallbreaker. However Hustle proves to be Durant's hinderance, due to the accuracy being dropped making Durant miss a whole lot. Durant is also horribly outclassed by Scizor, who is the tiers staple, way more variety when it comes to set. Unlike Durant, Scizor has a better boosting move in Swords Dance, has better defensive stats actually allow it to switch into resisted Special attacks from Pokemon like Latias and Celebi, and can make up for its lack of Speed with powerful STAB priority in Bullet Punch to revenge kill .

[SET]
name: Hone Claws
move 1: Hone Claws
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Superpower
move 4: Rock Slide / Crunch
item: Steelium Z
ability: Hustle
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Durant was supposed to set up Hone Claws and hit with a Hustle boosted Z Move and hit its checks with good coverage. However this set falls flat as Durant is forced to take up the Z-Move slot to help remedy the inaccuracy from Hustle, Durant would have to rely on hitting its moves or having to set up Hone Claws. Durant is also outclassed by Scizor, as Scizor is more versatile, has better defensive stats actually allow it to switch into resisted Special attacks from Pokemon like Latias and Celebi, and can make up for its lack of Speed with powerful STAB priority in Bullet Punch to revenge kill.

At first glance, solid Speed and access to Hustle boosted Z moves, Durant would seem like a decent wallbreaker. However Hustle proves to be Durant's hinderance, due to the accuracy being dropped making Durant miss a whole lot and Durant is basically forced to use Hone Claws turn one. Well this isn't really true, you aren't forced to use it but it is reliant on the move to patch up the drawbacks of its ability. Change that. Durant is also horribly outclassed by Scizor, who is the tiers staple, way more variety when it comes to set, and importantly doesn't rely on landing moves to be powerful. Not sure what you are trying to say here tbh. Just say that unlike Durant it has access to a better boosting move in Swords Dance, its better defensive stats actually allow it to switch into resisted Special attacks from Pokemon like Latias and Celebi, and can make up for its lack of Speed with powerful STAB prio in Bullet Punch to revenge kill said threats.

Durant was supposed to set up Hone Claws and hit with a Hustle boosted Z Move and hit its checks with good coverage. However this set falls flat as Durant is a waste of a Z move user I'd say something along the lines of 'It is forced to take up the Z-Move slot to help remedy the inaccuracy from Hustle' than say it is a waste of a Z-Move user. If this was the case it wouldn't be run on it because the Z-Move is actually buffed by Hustle. and after it uses the Z move, Durant would have to rely on hitting its moves or having to set up Hone Claws. Durant is also outclassed by Scizor, as Scizor is more versatile, has reliable coverage which doesn't rely on Hustle attack boost, and has access to U-turn which lets Scizor pivot on its checks. Reiterate its better stats giving it defensive utility against threats like Latias, which outspeeds and OHKOs Durant with Dragonium Z. This is a big downside for Durant that needs emphasizing because it takes up the role of a Steel-type that can't check the likes of Latias.

However Hustle proves to be Durant's hinderance, due to the accuracy being dropped making Durant miss a whole lot. (Just say "making Durant's moves unreliable without a Hone Claws boost") Durant is also horribly outclassed by Scizor, who is the tiers staple, way more variety when it comes to set. Unlike Durant, Scizor has a better boosting move in Swords Dance, has better defensive stats actually allow it to switch into resisted Special attacks from Pokemon like Latias and Celebi, and can make up for its lack of Speed with powerful STAB priority in Bullet Punch to revenge kill. (Mention that it can heal via Roost too)

Durant was supposed (Rephrase to "This set's goal is.." or something along those lines) to set up Hone Claws and hit with a Hustle boosted Z Move and hit its checks with good coverage. However this set falls flat as Durant is forced to take up the Z-Move slot to help remedy the inaccuracy from Hustle, Durant would have to rely on hitting its moves or having to set up Hone Claws. (I'd like to see something about how Durant doesn't give the proper defensive utility a Steel-type should, making it even harder to justify using, not just bc Scizor outclasses it)
