[SET COMMENTS]
Dusclops is a defensive staple within the NFE metagame with its great bulk and Ghost typing to block Rapid Spin from Quaxwell. This is crucial, as in a metagame dominated by entry hazard stacking, Quaxwell's Rapid Spin is the main way to remove hazards. Will-O-Wisp and Night Shade work together in crippling opposing Pokemon, reducing Dusclops's general passivity. RestTalk is preferred, as it brings better longevity, but it also makes Dusclops quite passive by requiring it to get lucky with Sleep Talk. Pain Split makes Dusclops less passive but decreases its longevity. Thief is also a good last option that lets Dusclops not only reobtain Eviolite but also get rid of foes' items. The given EV spread maximizes special bulk as Will-O-Wisp already helps against physical threats.
Dusclops fits on entry hazard stacking and bulky teams, which take advantage of its bulk and Ghost typing. Because Dusclops's main role is to deter Rapid Spin, Pokemon that can set hazards are its best teammates. Tinkatuff, Piloswine, Glimmet, and Dunsparce can all set Stealth Rock, while Glimmet, Quilladin, and Frogadier can set Spikes. Besides being a spinblocker, Dusclops works perfectly as a mixed wall. Piloswine, which suffers against Monferno and Pignite, benefits from being coupled with Dusclops. Pokemon including like Monferno, Pignite, and Fraxure that can take advantage of hazards and ones like Frogadier and Hisuian Silggoo that are frail against special attackers like Frogadier and Sliggo-Hisui can also benefit from being coupled with Dusclops. The main problems of Dusclops are its passivity and its reliance on keeping Eviolite. Its passivity problem is even worse against Normal-types that do not mind getting burned such as Girafarig and special Dunsparce variants. Both can switch in against Dusclops and set up. Regarding this, Dusclops pairs well with Tinkatuff and Hisuian Sliggoo, which can switch in and threaten Girafarig back, and Fighting-types such as Monferno and Pignite that threaten Dunsparce back. Pokemon like Tinkatuff and Koffing that can switch in against Knock Off users are appreciated. Additionally, Dusclops is scared of Drakloak, which can be annoying with Hex. Again, Tinkatuff and Dunsparce are good teammates because they can switch into it are good teammates. Finally, Scraggy can easily switch into Dusclops and use it as a setup fodder while threatening it with STAB Knock Off. Pokemon such as Fletchinder and Clefairy that can come in against Scraggy and threaten it are excellent partners.

Other Options
=============
Dusclops can also run a physically defensive set in order to be used as a physical wall, checking Pokemon like Choice Band Piloswine and Choice Band Monferno.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Knock Off users**: Dusclops needs to hold Eviolite to really make its bulk shine. This means that Knock Off users, including Tinkatuff, Monferno, and Thwackey, are always going to be scary.
**Scraggy**: Scraggy threatens Dusclops by using it as a setup fodder with either Double Dance or Bulk Up and with STAB Knock Off. Scraggy normally runs Shed Skin, which means that it does not mind getting burned by Dusclops in the long term.
**Special Normal-types**: Although they don't necessarily enjoy the burn damage, both Girafarig and Dunsparce can switch into Night Shade or even Will-O-Wisp and then set up against Dusclops.
**Drakloak**: While Dusclops has decent special bulk, Drakloak's Ghost-type STAB moves such as Shadow Ball and Hex are scary. The latter can even have a boost due to Dusclops being asleep from Rest.
**Taunt users**: Taunt users like Servine, Krokorok, Fletchinder, and Fraxure can shut Dusclops's ability to heal or use Will-O-Wisp down while setting up or threatening it.
