Welcome all to the first edition of the Draft League subforum's winter team tour, Draft Winter League! This tour will consist of 8 teams which will play 8 games per week in a round robin style tour. The top 4 teams will then battle it out in a playoffs bracket to crown our first DWL champions and win a custom avatar for themselves. This year's hosts are goldmason, toastrgophr, and ALG Spies.

Each team will pick 3 formats between SV ND, SS, USUM, ORAS, BW and DPP at the start of each week. Teams will be limited to picking a maximum of 2 from SS, USUM and ORAS.

Manager signups are now open. Each team requires a manager and up to 2 co-managers. There will be a minimum of 11 players per team and a budget of 110k total for the auction. Managers will be allowed to self-buy prior to the start of the auction at a cost of 18k per manager (Max 2). Manager signups should be in the following format:​

Team Name: The Random Finizens
Why should the hosting team pick you?: We've been playing draft for a long time now and have lots of experience managing and playing, both in draft and other parts of Smogon. Accidental has led CDL to 3 dominant PGP championships with us 2 as co-caps, and I've managed in OMPL and OMCL to great success. Individually, we are all 3 very in-tune and active in draft. We consistently place well in large tournaments like Autumn / Spring Seasonal, and Sceptile has just made Top 16 in the draft Circuit this year, featuring a dominant run in USUM Cup III. I also have numerous strong showings in draft tournaments, such as going 6-1 in DPL and winning GG Inc with a 6-0 run in swiss and dropping only a single game across 6 rounds of single elim Bo3s. Overall, we're a strong managing core that bring a lot of competition, activity and vibes to any team tournament we're in.

I have also been participated in draft tours, and managed many team tournaments such as UMPL, NDPL, CPL, LCWC, etc. Corvikafka is a recent addition and active member of the forum. He is proficient in many tiers and has managed ADVWC, PUWC, WCAP, DPPWC and so on, possessing sufficient skill and experience. We are familiar with the process and confident in building an active team, actively participating.
