I wrote a guide for my friends using a Corviknight as an example as they were confused by the introduction of being able to transfer egg moves from parent to parent in Sword/Shield so I thought I would post it here also in hopes that it would educate and enlighten others in the same boat. If you see anything wrong with it please don't hesitate to mention it. Thanks!
Want the DEFOG egg move on a GMax/Shiny Corviknight?
Step 1: Grab any FEMALE Rookidee/Corvisquire/Corviknight and stick it in the daycare with something that is within its egg group and learns the move DEFOG but it needs to be MALE, I used Braviary.
Step 2: Hatch the egg and it will be a Rookidee with the egg move DEFOG. If it is the OPPOSITE GENDER to the GMax/Shiny Corviknight make sure you evolve it to Corviknight.
Step 3: Leave them in the daycare with the GMax/Shiny Corviknight only knowing 3 moves and 1 empty move slot, it will get the egg move from the other parent after 2 egg cycles (collecting and hatching)
This works the same if you want more than 1 egg move but may require you to repeat step 1 and breed the 2 resulting Rookidee with 1 egg move on each with different GENDERS to create a Rookidee that is the opposite gender to your GMax/Shiny Corviknight with both egg moves on so it can pass them across to the parent.
