PU Eldegoss

[OVERVIEW]
Eldegoss is one of the best Rapid Spin users in the tier, thanks to it being able to deal with and status Ghost-types, such as Doublade and Jellicent. Eldegoss is also an excellent defensive pivot, mainly because Regenerator keeps it healthy without losing momentum. It can also check most of the Ground-, Water-, and Rock-types in the tier, such as Sandaconda, Jellicent, and Regirock, with ease because their best option is often just to status Eldegoss in some manner. Eldegoss also offers great support with moves such as Sleep Powder, Charm, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, and Aromatherapy. However, because of Eldegoss's lackluster coverage and Special Attack, it must resort to status against Pokemon that resist Grass such as Scyther and Weezing. It struggles the most against other Grass-type Pokemon, such as Ferroseed, Whimsicott, and Trevenant, since they're immune to Sleep Powder and Leech Seed. Because pure Grass-types have so many weaknesses and because Eldegoss can't run all the moves it wants at once, Pokemon like Charizard and Doublade really take advantage of it.

[SET]

move 4: Leech Seed / Aromatherapy
item: Heavy-Duty Boots / Eject Button
ability: Regenerator
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Giga Drain heals defensive Eldegoss, but it can instead use Grass Knot to be less passive versus common heavy Pokemon, such as Aggron, Gigalith, and Jellicent. Sleep Powder and Leech Seed are both fantastic options to annoy its non-Grass-type switch-ins. Stun Spore is a very niche option but can be very beneficial for slower wallbreakers, such as Perrserker and Arctovish. Charm is mainly used to annoy Bulk Up Scrafty and Doublade, but it can still help with other physical attackers. Heavy-Duty Boots is by far the best item choice for Eldegoss, as it tends to switch in a lot to sponge damage. Eject Button is a risky item choice but can give a free switch for a wallbreaker, and once that's done Eldegoss switches into Poltergeist. However, sometimes a free switch doesn't do anything meaningful, and Eject Button won't activate versus Knock Off. Because Eldegoss lacks the coverage to meaningfully deal with Grass-resistant Pokemon, such as Charizard and Ribombee, Pokemon like Wishiwashi and Gigalith are a big help to switch into them. Eldegoss in return checks some of their switch-ins like Sandaconda and Jellicent while keeping them status free; other Pokemon that appreciate Eldegoss's cleric support are Togedemaru, Silvally-Ghost, and Scyther, as they all must avoid burns to function at their best.

[SET]

move 4: Pollen Puff / Sleep Powder / Aromatherapy
item: Heavy-Duty Boots

nature: Modest
evs: 248 HP / 224 SpA / 36 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
One can opt to use a much more offensive build with Eldegoss, making it less passive and harder to switch in on. Leaf Storm is Eldegoss's strongest move, but one needs to be mindful of its low PP. Grass Knot can be used to avoid this but comes with the downside of its inconsistent Base Power. This Eldegoss variant can actually harm other Grass-types such as Ferroseed, Whimsicott, and even other Eldegoss with Pollen Puff. Synthesis is an option given this set's reduced bulk and ability to keep momentum better, but it's very team and matchup dependent, and Regenerator is usually enough to keep Eldegoss healthy. 36 Speed EVs are to outspeed the common defensive Jellicent. Heavy-Duty Boots keeps this offensive variant as healthy as possible, and it's especially useful versus Toxic Spikes. Pokemon such as Togedemaru, Archeops, and Charizard make for excellent teammates, as they can help lure in Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types such as Sandaconda, Gigalith, and Jellicent for Eldegoss. Eldegoss does well on Spikes-stacking teams, appreciate how they apply pressure with entry hazards, which helps gives it momentum to pivot in and spin. Doublade, Gigalith, Sandslash, and Eldegoss make an excellent base for one of these teams, as they help cover each other's weaknesses.

[Overview] (put "overview" in all caps.)
Eldegoss is one of the best Rapid Spin users/Hazard remover (easier to leave it at "one of the best Rapid Spin users" or "one of the best spinners.") in the tier, thanks to it being able to deal/status Ghost-types, such as Cofagrigus, Doublade, and Jellicent. (imo, drop cofag; not common enough to justify mentioning, esp. in comparison to the other two.) Eldegoss is also an excellent defensive pivot mainly because of its ability Regenerator which allows it to keep healthy without losing momentum. Checking most of the Ground-, Water-, and Rock-types in the tier, such as Sandaconda, Jellicent, and Regirock. (this isn't a complete sentence, expand on it some.) Eldegoss also offers great support with moves such as Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, and Aromatherapy. However because of its lackluster move pool ("movepool" is a bit ambiguous here, go with "coverage" instead.) (its special attack being meh doesn't help either.) its unable to meaningfully deal with Types that resist Grass-types without statusing them in someway, because of this Eldegoss struggles the most against other Grass-type pokemon, such as Ferroseed, Whimsicott, and Trevenant. It can be quite easy for an opponent to take advantage of Eldegoss because of this.

[SET COMMENTS]
Eldegoss main purpose on any team is to remove hazards, Eldegoss being able to force out the common Ghost-, Rock-, and Ground-types in the tier, such as Gigalith, Sandaconda, Doublade, and Cofagrigus means it's able to remove hazards with Rapid Spin with ease, it mainly deals with both Cofagrigus and Doublade with the combination of Sleep Powder and Leech Seed, which are both fantastic options for it as it allows Eldegoss to annoy its non-Grass-type switch ins. (this first part doesn't really need to be here, most of it is more or less repeating parts of the overview. keep the stuff about sleep powder and leech seed, though; just move it so that it comes after your sentence about giga drain vs. gknot.) The preferred stab on defensive Eldegoss is Giga Drain as it helps keep it healthy, it can however instead use Grass Knot to be less passive vs common heavy pokemon, such as Aggron, Gigalith, Sandaconda, (both moves 2HKO conda anyway, delete this example.) and Jellicent. Aromatherapy is a great option for Eldegoss as it lets the team keep Status free, pokemon that appreciate this support are Togedemaru, Silvally-Ghost, Scyther, and Charizard. (four examples is probably too many, your call which one you wanna delete.) Stun Spore can be hard to fit sometimes but can be very beneficial for slower breakers, such as Perrserker, Aggron, and Jellicent. Because Eldegoss lacks the coverage to meaningfully deal with pokemon that resist Grass-type moves, such as Charizard, Ferroseed, Weezing, and Ribombee, (again, four examples is too many; you really only need two here to get the point across.) pokemon like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, Centiskorch, and Galarian Articuno (keep any three of these examples.) are a big help.

One can opt to use a much more offensive build with Eldegoss so that it's not as passive and easy to swap in on. Leaf Storm is Eldegoss strongest stab move, but as it only has 8 pp it can be stalled out if one is not careful. Grass Knot can be used to avoid this but it comes with the downside of its inconsistent basepower, however with the exception of Lanturn all super effective targets in the tier get 2-3HKOed with it. As always Eldegoss main purpose on any team is to remove hazards, the offensive variant of Eldegoss struggles however to swap into Rock-types such as Aggron, Regirock, and Gigalith as easily, because of this it's important to keep Eldegoss healthy. Synthesis is the best way to increase the offensive variants longevity in a game, despite that Synthesis is very match up and team dependent and should only be used if needed. Even with modest nature and 224 evs in SpA Eldegoss is still unable to deal with pokemon that resist Grass-type moves such as Charizard, Scyther, and Garbordor, Eldegoss best option is to predict a switch in and use Sleep powder and swap out into a teammate that can deal with the sleeping pokemon, such as Aggron, Wishiwashi, or Archeops. The offensive variant of Eldegoss can however actually harm other Grass-types, such as Ferroseed, Whimsicott, and even other Eldegoss with Pollen Puff.

there isn't really any wrong information here, but this section feels very long-winded. part of it is because you repeat things you already said in the overview (such as eldegoss' main role being hazard removal, eldegoss not being able to touch most grass resists, etc.), and it's also because you over-explain a lot of the content. my suggestion is to look at published analyses and see how they usually keep their explanations of the briefer side.

you also need to add teammates here at the end of the section.

could probably stand to mention that elde fits nicely on spikes stacking teams (like this one) and explain why.

The preferred stab on defensive Eldegoss is Giga Drain as it helps keep it healthy, it can however instead use Grass Knot to be less passive vs common heavy (define heavy, as in use the weight value that corresponds to Grass Knot dealing more damage than Giga Drain, in this case it's 50 kg) pokemon, such as Aggron, Gigalith, and Jellicent. Stun Spore can be hard to fit sometimes but can be very beneficial for slower breakers, such as Perrserker, Aggron, and Jellicent (focus more on how niche the option is compared to others like Charm and Leech Seed, it's a viable option but not worthy of a slash). (add a sentence explaing why Eldegoss runs the items it uses here) Because Eldegoss lacks the coverage to meaningfully deal with pokemon that resist Grass-type moves, such as Charizard and Ribombee, pokemon like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Galarian Articuno are a big help (explain how they're a big help by switching into them/forcing them out), Eldegoss in return checks some of their switch ins (like?) and keep them status free.

Eldegoss does well on Spike Stacking teams where you deny your opponent to use Rapid Spin to remove hazards with a Ghost-type (give examples) whilst applying pressure by getting hazards up. Doublade, Gigalith, Sandslash, and Eldegoss make for an excellent base for one of these teams as they help cover each other's weaknesses (go more in-depth into how this core works).

Eject Button is a somewhat risky item choice, the upside of Eject Button is that you give a free turn to a breaker and that once it's been used Eldegoss can switch into Poltergeist without worry, Downside is that sometimes that free turn doesn't do anything, it won't work vs Knock Off, and you take hazards (move this sentence to after the explanation of Charm, also make it more concise, it's very wordy the way it is). The preferred stab on defensive Eldegoss is Giga Drain as it helps keep it healthy (crossed out text is fluff, delete it), it can however instead use Grass Knot to be less passive vs common heavy pokemon, in this case, all pokemon weighing more than 50 kg (110 lbs) (no need to mention pounds, just kg is fine) such as Aggron, Gigalith, and Jellicent will take more damage from Grass Knot. Sleep Powder and Leech Seed are both fantastic options for it as it allows Eldegoss to annoy its non-Grass-type switch-ins. Aromatherapy is a great option for Eldegoss as it lets the team keep Status free, Stun Spore is a very niche option compared to Charm and Leech Seed but can be very beneficial for slower breakers, such as Perrserker and Aggron (Band Aggron is dead in a ditch, replace this with Arctovish, it loves stuff Zard being paralyzied). Charm is mainly used to annoy Bu Scrafty and Doublade, but isn't so narrow that it can't help with other physical attackers. (remember to mention why it runs Boots here, and make sure it's after the Charm sentence but before the Eject Button sentence) Because Eldegoss lacks the coverage to meaningfully deal with pokemon that resist Grass-type moves, such as Charizard and Ribombee, pokemon like Gigalith, Wishiwashi, and Galarian Articuno are a big help, as they all create momentum in their own way (remove Galarian Articuno, switch the order of Gigalith and Wishiwashi, and instead of saying they create momentum, just say they switch into these threats for Eldegoss), Eldegoss in return checks some of their switch-ins like Togedemaru and Sandaconda (switch the order of these two and replace Togedemaru with Jellicent) whilst keep them status free, other pokemon that appreciate Eldegoss cleric support are Togedemaru, Silvally-Ghost, and Scyther (explain why they like cleric support).

Synthesis is the best way to increase the offensive variants' longevity in a game, despite that Synthesis is very team and match-up dependent and should only be used if needed, as most of the time Eldegoss wont get low so to where swapping won't keep it healthy enough but given the lack of bulk and potentially no other switch-ins Synthesis may come in handy. 36 Spe is to outspeed the common defensive Jellicent without the loss of any SpD bulk. Heavy-duty Boots are used on the offensive variant to keep it as healthy as possible it's especially useful vs Toxic Spikes. Pokemon such as Togedemaru, Archeops, and Charizard make for excellent teammates as they can help lure in aforementioned Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types in for Eldegoss (don't assume people have read the overview, make sure to provide examples). One can opt to use a much more offensive build with Eldegoss so that it's not as passive and easy to swap Eldegoss, making it less passive and harder to switch in on. Leaf Storm is Eldegoss' strongest stab move, Eldegoss's strongest move, but one needs to be mindful of its low PP, however, PP. Grass Knot can be used to avoid this but it comes with the downside of its inconsistent base power. The offensive variant of Eldegoss Base Power. This Eldegoss variant can actually harm other Grass-types (RC) such as Ferroseed, Whimsicott, and even other Eldegoss with Pollen Puff. Synthesis is the best way to increase the offensive variants' longevity in a game, despite that Synthesis is very team and match-up dependent and should only be used if needed, as most of the time Eldegoss won't get low so to where swapping won't keep it healthy enough but given the lack of bulk and potentially no other switch-ins Synthesis may come in handy. an option given this set's reduced bulk and ability to keep momentum better, (I imagine this still makes sense in context?) but it's very team and matchup dependent, and Regenerator is usually enough to keep Eldegoss healthy. 36 Spe is Speed EVs are to outspeed the common defensive Jellicent without the loss of any SpD bulk. Heavy-duty Boots are used on the offensive variant to keep it as healthy as possible it's especially useful vs Jellicent. Heavy-Duty Boots keeps this offensive variant as healthy as possible, and it's especially useful versus Toxic Spikes. Pokemon such as Togedemaru, Archeops, and Charizard make for excellent teammates, (AC) as they can help lure in Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types such as Sandaconda, Gigalith, and Jellicent in for Eldegoss. Eldegoss does well on Spike Stacking teams where you deny your opponent to use Rapid Spin to remove hazards with a Ghost-type such as Doublade and Jellicent whilst applying pressure by getting hazards up. Spikes-stacking teams, appreciating how they apply pressure with entry hazards, which helps gives it momentum to pivot in and spin. (does something like this makes sense? previous explanation more explained what s-s teams do, not what eldegoss does / how eldegoss works well with them, which is our goal. if i'm off, change/elaborate as needed) Doublade, Gigalith, Sandslash, and Eldegoss make for an excellent base for one of these teams, (AC) as they help cover each other's weaknesses. The idea is to slowly whittle down the opponent's defenses whilst pressuring them with various breakers such as Scyther and Bsculin. (removed extra line under)
