if a redcheck presents itself we vote them over fudge but if not, we ball

also tarnished vote exists we need to do something productive with that
 
btw regarding the tarnished i really don't think you guys should be trusting celever. i don't know if hyhy AND him are mafia working together or if he's just hopping on the gravy train but in the main chat we had a discussion where i suggested the tarnished vote target be decided in public d1 to ensure any villager can claim the alias and he fought back against it.

i suggested giving the claimed tarnished a sheet to anon suggest the alias they want to vote so they don't have to publicly reveal their identity and he said that wouldn't work because it would "exclude the tarnished who haven't claimed" and they need to "only discuss with the tarnished in their chat"

...except if the town tarnished who haven't claimed, haven't claimed, they aren't in that chat to discuss?

just reeked of a fake answer to try and obfuscate the tarnished target so it can wind up on one that is sub-optimal for town.

my suggestion is that everyone posts "if i am tarnished i would vote: alias" so the tarnished are not outed in this process, and then at the end we can settle on a good vote for the tarnished to ensure we don't hit a villager. lmk your thoughts.

This isn’t what happened in the conversation and you are all free to read the logs yourself. I was pointing out Yeti was contradicting herself, and she’s tried to turn that into my own contradiction that means I’m scum?? I can’t with her this game lol.

The sheet idea is dumb because we need to ??? talk about things. We don’t all have a redcheck ready to go on D1. None of us do, probably. We haven’t got one so far this day phase! And the sheet idea also doesn’t do anything beneficial for town. It doesn’t really do anything in general, but the absolute most it does is let scum tarnished pitch vote ideas under the guise of total anonymity, and therefore removes any potential recourse for doing so. Some town tarnished would absolutely likely piggyback on a name that has a few entries in the sheet assuming there’s good reason for it to be there if we don’t talk about the target at all. It’s sincerely

Yeti is either town who’s annoyed she doesn’t have control over a mechanic and is misplaying for ego reasons, or scum trying to commandeer the vote for her own faction’s gain. Either way, she can be ignored.

Tarnished should still claim that they’re tarnished to me and/or Hydro. If you believe Yeti and think I’m scum (lol) then tell Hydro not to tell me your identity. Someone’s already claimed to me and told me not to tell Hydro!

where did i contradict myself? i said that of the claimed tarnished, you can give them an anon sheet to suggest targets on, so village can speak up if their alias appears. i have also presented a means for tarnished to discuss publicly without outing themselves at all.

you then said that that won't work, because "the tarnished who haven't claimed can't be included that way, so we need to speak about it in our group chat" - except the tarnished who haven't claimed are not in your chat TO discuss.

they have a better voice staying anon here in this thread if we all post a suggested pitch. they have no voice in your group of existing claims.

that's my issue with your play here. what is my misplay in having the vote be decided publicly so it doesn't land on a village alias by mistake?

please answer that question before telling people to ignore another player, thanks!

Here are my concerns with this vote:

She claimed Ancestor Spirit which does not phase shift. But she claims she phase shifts.
She claimed she is great enemy, which ancestor spirit is, but as far as I understand, it's Tarnished who scale in power, not great enemies. Tarnished players have claimed to me they get stronger as the game goes longer.
She claims she phase shifts but so far I only know of shardbearers that shapeshift.

After watching YouTube videos on the Ancestor Spirit fight, I did not see any "phase shifts" and Tommy confirmed to me that Ancestor Spirit does not phase shift midfight in the game.

As far as I understand, this game follows game mechanics in pretty much every way, so why would this role be an exception?

I'm not saying this is a lie, but this doesn't really make sense.

I would like another option, if possible.. and no, I don't plan to claim my alias.
 
Alright guys, I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm publicly claiming tarnished If you are tarnished, plz dm me (on Discord) because I don't want to leak my flavour and Celever and Hydrei won't let me in the tarnish convo without giving it to them

Laurel, if pulsar didn’t have a phase shift, then what reason would she have for insisting on being the lynch and literally claiming her alias to make that happen? It’s entirely counterproductive if she’s nonshifting town, and a massive (dare I say untenable) risk as mafia, so why would she take a lie this far? There is also nothing in the rules that indicates phase shifting is exclusive to Shardbearers, you are just assuming that based on game knowledge when Tommy specifically designed this game to be playable without knowledge from Elden Ring, suggesting he was not 100% faithful to every game mechanic. As such, I can only feel that your arguments are based on red herrings and that’s a really bad look for someone trying to townlead.

I know nothing about Elden Ring but I’ve been googling a lot. I did say in my post that somethings are assumptions.

It’s possible that mafia shuffled a bunch of claims together and didn’t have their facts straight. I don’t really know what Pulsar is, just that a lot of things seem to not add up.

I just would like another option to come up, but maybe this is how the game is designed.
