NOC Electoral Mafia - Game thread

I mean the role is really whatever man like if we just lose because the mafia can stop us from voting multiple nights in a row then lol.

We really should try not to get complacent here. I'm still at a loss for the last mafia or in general what they are doing. They obviously are not restricted in their use of the persuader role, so why was Peum persuaded? How did the mafia predict DBD would get their action off today but not yesterday? If DBD is mafia, why make such a suspicious play instead of just idling the persuade and getting dbd "confirmed." Do they really need vote on them that badly?
 
I still think it's realiti but it's kinda pending on liquid's flip to confirm that for me for 100% instead of 90%

The persuader and the roleblocker have to be two different people and the pool of people who don't have a role that we've confirmed yet is basically just him and you

(if liquid is somehow both I'd be more inclined to vote dbd the next day, but I doubt it)
 
Miyami~~ - Omni-Guard who prevents the target from voting, confirmed by shypebble
Dead By Dayligt - Fruit Vendor who can become an inventor, confirmed by Miyami, Shypeble
liquidlarry - no claim but logically is one or both of the persuader and roleblocker
AirC - Mafia Pardoner
a fairy - Announcer who can also create a neighbourhood once per game. Announcer part is confirmed but I'd love to hear more about this neighbourhood a fairy
Tsuki - Essentially an arsonist but instead of killing people she rolecops them, not outwardly confirmed by any other party but pretty apparently this exact role
jalmont - Mayor with no known night action, Mayor part is confirmed
realiti - Watcher who watches the person he votes for, unconfirmed
Peum - Can self-protect and if he does it successfully he learns who tried to kill him and becomes a mayor for them that we don't see? Kind of in the Tsuki boat

Peum is also confirmed town by Tsuki if you believe Tsuki, and we don't have much of any reason not to. Given the amount of things that have happened that have been confirmed by multiple people I feel like the last mafia has to be in one of the unconfirmed roles, and I'd much sooner believe Realiti than Jalmont. There's no way they'd lock Jalmont's vote for several days in a row if Jalmont was in on it, right?
 
I've tried really hard over the past three in game days to explain this and I do not know if it's a flaw in my ability to communicate ideas effectively or if you guys just aren't seeing it but I'd be shocked if I were wrong at this point

Realiti is a tracker, not a watcher.

I think your idea of "confirmed" is a little different than mine and possibly others. You seem to be taking the position that no info role can be "confirmed" which in my opinion is a biased approach. People can claim a role that they actually have and still be mafia.

I think you have a good point that no one in the game has had two roles which would make DBD unlikely to be mafia. I'm definitely willing to consider the realiti case, but I also don't want to go so far as to say "oh yeah DBD and AF are more town than Tsuki (lol) because we know their role exist!" That's bad logic in my opinion.
 
What was the mafia doing on day 3? Are you telling me their plan was to bus AP the whole time but they just "forgot" about AirC's role and basically revealed them for no reason? Why go to the trouble of realiti revealing if they weren't just going to end with the bus on AP?

I also think it's very reasonable for us to have 2 semi nerfed info roles.

I don't know. I think I will have to make the case for realiti when we get to it as much as I don't want to. but right now it's hard for me to see that as the 4p team

I think there's a few differences between tsuki and realiti fwiw
- Both have roles that are only useful if they vote off the wagon, but Tsuki has been open about it and committed to it for the whole game whereas realiti has mostly just played "normally"
- realiti claiming when he did (after the idea that the PoE had to be people without a confirmed role) vs Tsuki soft claiming at the start of the game. Especially once we started figuring out that mafia couldn't actually get a kill the normal way, Realiti could've joined the pool of claimed roles mafia can't get rid of a lot earlier than he did
- Realiti has conveniently not been able to provide anything that couldn't just be gleaned from being in the scum chat. At this point it makes sense to sell AP, liquid, and AirC down the river since we all know they're 3/4 scum, but doing so also means he doesn't have to provide any information since his role only works when he doesn't vote correctly. The one town he's voted for so far, Carrotman, died that day. Tsuki actually has cleared town

I think Realiti's role reads like a fake claim on its own merits largely because of the third point. He's welcome to vote me today but I expect to be blocked every night until I get killed so it might be worth for him to vote like DBD or something even though I'm higher up on the town pool

I dunno. I feel like they might not have expected it to work then given how close the wagon between DBD and AP was, but AirC and Liquidlarry also kind of shot themselves in the foot by tunneling AP so hard that they couldn't just get off the wagon last minute without also basically revealing themselves. The real weird thing was AirC claiming that exact role and that makes me think they weren't really wanting AP dead and the chaos at EOD kind of worked against them. But it was a bizarre day all around
