An example is DBZ mafia, where the village lost its Trunks Sword (bodyguard-piercing item to be given to the killer), Potara Earrings (fuse two roles to make a super-role), and a Dragonball (arguably one of the most important things to have) in one night, iirc. (That's the easiest for me to give because I was playing it)

Elements Mafia - Day 8

Lynch Macle
The sun drops below the horizon as Macle’s time comes to a close. With all the elements calling for his head, Thorns calls out to Macle.
“Let’s not make a mess like what we had with your other buddies shall we?”
“Where is demon238, your foolish partner?”
“He is preparing for dinner I think.”
“Muahaha, without him you will never be able to catch me!”
The elements and Thorns move in on Macle surrounding him, but before they can even begin to attack Macle flys away, with astounding speed into a gas pipe.
“See you later, suckers!”
Meanwhile in demon238’s house....
“Let’s see boil water and then add noodles for 5 minutes.”
As demon238 says this he lights his gas stove producing a bright blue flame consuming natural gas from a local pipeline. Suddenly the gas stove begins to start screaming.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! ACK! UGHHHHHH…..GLURGH!”
The screaming stops and a charred piece of paper shoots out. demon238 goes outside and tells the villagers about what just conspired in his kitchen, announcing the words on the piece of paper.
It is now Night 4, it will end on Monday 11:00 PM Pacific time GMT -8.

With Macle dead, the last of the Combustibles have fallen (burned up), the activation energy that was on his body dissipates. You all return to your homes content that a whole group of invaders have died.
