Pet Mod Elimination War

Sorry but I will be adding one more restriction to the list. You can no longer repeat abilities on your team. I implemented this due to feedback from builders. It should hopefully prevent cringe stuff like Magic Guard and Regenerator spam. I'll add it to the rule list!

You have less than 24 hours until the Creation Phase is finished! Finish your final touches! Go ahead and check everyone's timezones and assign battlers if you have nothing else to do!

The Creation Phase is over! Please hand over all your finished Pokémon on Discord and we will put them in a spreadsheet in preparation for the Battle Phase!

Slate 1.3: Battle Phase

It's starting, folks! The tense phase that decides who is safe and who is eliminated! It's time to battle! We will be having a tournament to put our teams and their mons against each other! This will take place at Saturday 3 PM EST, or Sunday depending on how long it takes to get everything coded in. Once everything gets coded in, each battler must create a unique team using only their Fakemon. Once all the teams are in, the battles will begin! As a reminder, here's rules about how it will go down.

This will involve 3 battles where 3 battlers of each team face off each other. The team who wins the best of 3 wins the tournament. The team that wins will have their Fakemon safe for future use, while the loser team has their mons eliminated, and they will be deemed illegal for future battles. This makes this battles incredibly important, as they decide the fates of every Fakemon involved. I recommend you don't take it too seriously, as these battles are partly luck based when it comes to what your opposing team is, so don't expect to win, and take it easy if your mons get eliminated. I might have a second chance round in the future.

Here's some extra rules in case you forgot.
  1. SV rules and clauses apply.
  2. You cannot change teams between battles. Once the tournament begins, whatever you have is final.
  3. Try to make all teams unique and vary up the sets rather than just copy paste. It'll keep it more interesting and gives you a better understanding of your Fakemon and the roles they play. It might give you an advantage through surprise factor.
Before I let you all off, the spreadsheet has now been created! This will feature Fakemon of both teams, so look closely at your opposing team so you can plan your strategy. I hope nobody has an unfair advantage! Here's a link.

I wish everyone luck!

Team B, aka Peace Enjoyers, have won the first elimination war!
Congrats to myself (although I lost the first battle), zxgzxg, anaconja, Orangesodapop, AlephSubZero, poopidoopi, PQRDG, ViZar, and TopicHats. As for 6 Pyukumukus, Team A, you have lost the war! Unfortunately that means the followings mons have been eliminated and will not be legal in future battles, for now at least.

Every other mon is safe after having won the battle! Keep in tune for the next slate, which will likely start tomorrow. If you lost, no sweat. Use that experience to build a better and stronger team. And every team will be different, so who knows if you'll pair up with good players/builders next time or not. If you're curious, here are replays of the battles.

Slate 2.1: Sign-Up Phase
It's time for the 2nd slate to begin! You know the deal! Simply type "in" on this thread and you have joined! Any newcomers must join the Discord to participate. This will last for 72 hours. Good luck!

On a side note, I will have the nat dex movepools coded in and the loser mons eliminated while this phase is going on, so apologizes if the movepool loss was a major issue for you.

Slate 2.2: Creation Phase
The fun begins again! It's time to create some Fakemon! I won't go over the whole process, but here are some restrictions to keep in mind! There are a few new rules now, so please take a read!
  1. Customs are banned, so teams don't have to deal with anything unexpected. Just pure vanilla gameplay.
  2. All mons must be balanced with a reasonable amount of counterplay, or else they'll be vetoed by the council moderating each group.
  3. No giving information about your Fakemon to the other team.
  4. All teams must be balance oriented. No stall or hyper offense spam as to create a decent amount of variety, as you want your mons to actually be a part of the metagame.
  5. No repeat typings on a single team. This is done to prevent stupid stuff like Fairy or Ground spam and to create some amount of restrictions.
  6. No repeat abilites on a single team. We don't want Regen or MG spam.
  7. Make sure to give feedback and help out builders to make sure they make balanced yet strong submissions. Council may accidentally let by an OP sub, so make sure everyone is helping out when creating a balanced team. Reminder that this will eventually be a real metagame, so don't create anything broken you don't want to face yourself.
  8. As for a new rule, here's some banned abilities that cannot be used: Imposter, Wonder Guard, base SV OU bans.
  9. The following moves also cannot be used: Dire Claw, Transform, base SV OU bans.
Reminder that every mon should be between A-S rank in a SV OU tierlist in terms of viability, but not outright broken. Without further ado, let's reveal our new teams.

Team A: Loginator, Tanny89k, anaconja, Fragmented, Gaboswampert, PQRDG, Scoopapa

Team B: TopicHats, zxgzxg, Orangesodapop, cyclonez, PalpitoadChamp, Lightniong, Jrydop

You have 7 days to create your teams! Good luck!

I apologize for the wait! I forgot to put in a 24 hour warning but all mons are finished so the Creation Phase is over! Wait patiently for the spreadsheet to be updated and then we'll start the Battle Phase!

Slate 2.3: Battle Phase
I am incredibly sorry for the wait, everyone, but slate 2 is coded in! There was issues with both sub balance and coding. I promise this won't happen again but if you don't trust me, anyone can apply as a coder so I don't have to do everything lol. But before I tell you the details about the next tournament, I need to make something clear.

One team, which I will not mention by name, has acted in bad faith and was deliberately trying to get broken mons past council. It's partially my fault for not doing my job and catching it before ending the slate, so I wouldn't make changes after everything is in the spreadsheet, and I promise I won't make that mistake again. However, I will say that this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the future. Remember you should want your mons to win because you actually like them and think they will be a good and balanced part of the meta, not because they will win one silly tournament. I get not wanting your mons eliminated, but it shouldn't be that serious. At the same time you're not taking it seriously. Do better.

With that out of the way, let me tell you about the tournament! It's basically the same deal again, but instead of making everyone make time for a tournament, I'll let you battle on your own terms. Just remember to post the replays so everyone can see the results. But if everyone wants to do it the old-fashioned way, it's the same time as last week. 3 PM EST on Saturday. If not, try to get it done before 10 PM EST on Sunday. As this is a new change of pace, let me remind everyone to make their teams before the first battle so no one can change their teams between battles. As always, best of 3 wins, and remember to vary up your sets.

Now everyone, began assigning battlers, build teams, and figure out times. You have 3 days so hopefully that's all the time you need!
