Enchanted Items [Now Multibility]

Like Stall + Prankster or Stall + Gale Wings.
This one is pretty easy: Stall doesn't decrease your priority bracket by one (or more than one), it only makes you move last in your current priority bracket. In other words, a user of Stall + Prankster or Stall + Gale Wings would move after +1 priority users and before +0 priority users with the moves that the latter ability affects. It'd work normally on moves that the secondary abilities don't affect.

as for the weather thing, no, I doubt that both weathers would activate at the same time; it depends on what ability (natural or given via item) takes priority when this gets coded, really

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- rest
- scald
- filler / u-turn
- filler / heal bell / toxic
yes, this manaphy regens all its health in one turn, and is immune to status. ultimate stall dream.

Also i am pretty sure things like aerilate and speed boost will get banned soon, as well as possibly kyube. We will also have to chose between this meta being a weather war(excadrill, im looking at you), or not.

Still, this metagame seems really fun, and may lead to something more creative than a gale wings/espeed spam. The lack of mega may also have some unexpected effects. Maybe we could do some unbans such as mmawile, mluke and mblaziken

Few ideas:

  • Shock Drive (Sheer Force) > Life Orb on most special attackers, excluding the ones that rely on the secondary effects of their moves to be effective or rely on moves that don't have secondary effects. While the boost is only slightly higher than that of the LO, it doesn't have recoil damage which greatly improves the longevity of attackers that normally rely on LO for extra damage output.
  • I was about to suggest something like Sand Stream + Sand Rush Tyranitar for what essentially amounts to non-move-locked ScarfTar without the necessity of running Jolly to maximize its speed, as well as Sand Rush + Sand Stream Excadrill to allow Excadrill to set its own sand automatically, but neither Sand Rush nor Sand Stream have items corresponding to them. Dunno if that's intentional or not but if you could fix it that'd be appreciated... or maybe not, because both of those are horrifying.
  • Most abilities that are good in AAA will be good here as well, but keep in mind that the effectiveness of a Pokémon running a certain ability is based not only on its typing, stats, and movepool but also on its current ability. For that reason, Pokémon that already pack good abilities are at an advantage as they're able to run another ability with less opportunity cost than their counterparts with worse abilities.
  • Micle Berry (Magic Bounce) normal Sableye to compress the roles of its normal form and Mega, maybe? Granted it still has distinct disadvantages over its Mega in that it has to suffer through its awful defensive stats, but it's still possibly worth considering if you want to run another Mega.
  • Speaking of Magic Bounce, anything with Mold Breaker + Micle Berry or Magic Bounce + Oran Berry becomes the ultimate hazards lead. Or user of status moves in general, really.
  • Okay, this is a bit silly, but... No Guard + Kasib Berry (Hustle) Machamp or Hustle + Poison Gem (No Guard) Durant? Hits hard without incurring the penalty to Accuracy that Hustle normally brings.
  • more later because this is such a cool idea for a meta and I have lots of thoughts for it
ehehehe... sorry about that. The list has been fixed, thanks for letting me know. If anyone else has more missing, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm going to port this over to sheets when I get the chance, but as of right now I have to just manually edit it. In case anyone is wondering how I made this/what the rules are, its alphabetic items, then alphabetic pokeballs, and then alphabtic fossils

I doubt that manaphy set is going to be banned, especially as it lacks tail Glow, still, that is a powerful ability combination.
Megas, However, Are a good point. They are majorly nerfed in this metagame, and unlike aaa they cant just run download and be done with it. If there are any undbans, those are probably where we should look (not like mmence or mgar, or mblaze since blaze is ubers, but things like megaluc)

Imperator Romanum

Sheet and OP is now updated, special thanks you Quantum Tesseract for making the initial list tysequaine for replacing the gems/unreleased items with legal ones and Zangooser for updating the OP!

Now, all of this should be fixed, if you see any problems with the OP I'd appreciate it if you were to PM me or talk to me in the OM room :)

If you have commented on it, thank you, you're really helpful!

All should be good!

Gengar @ Normalize
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Trick
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave

Because for now we don't have item for Normalize, I just write ability on item place.
In general - this pokemon gain acces to take oponents ability and use it what he like.

The best part: Here switch are pernament, and even when oponent will switch pokemon and switch again - he lose ability to touch Gengar pernamently.
Also, he lose ability to touch at all Steel and Rock pokemons (expect, when he have Tinted Lens), and like in huge amount of time - STAB for his moves.

What a ability Gengar can gain?
Any. Seriosly. Any ability he can get. And this set gain more posotive than negative aspects:

Damage boosting ability: Adaptability, Sheer Force, Protean (for him the worst scenario, because he CAN take damage from Normalize oponent) and more
Suport Ability: Prankster (Priority Destiny Bond for clutch situations), Mold Breaker/Similar ability
Tanking Ability: Intimidate, Any immunity ability (for example: Levitate. but this he have already...), Magic Guard, Regenerator, Multiscale
Weather setter or Weather based ability in general (Sand Force does not give damage boost for Gengar, but still immunity from Sandstorm is usefull. Sand Rush in this case is fantastic boost for speed).
Useless for him, but for oponent important abilities: Any -ate ability, Skill Link, Technician (He could run Hidden power, but why, when Technician works fantastic only on strange set like 60 power moves, and some priority what Gengardoes not have).
Other: Truant/Slow Start/Defeatist (Ups! In this case he always can use Trick again), Items what does not give ability (someone really want use that item?),

And much more...

Damn, this is cool. I would have no idea where to even BEGIN teambuilding, though. Contrary is unbanned when it normally isn't, so I guess I'll start with that?

Victini @ Contrary
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 184 HP / 92 Atk / 48 SpA / 184 Spe
Naive Nature
- V-Create
- Overheat
- Bolt Strike / Thunderbolt
- Glaciate

Like Serperior in Sketchmons, but a bit slower in exchange for more power, bulk, coverage, and a good defensive and offensive typing. With these EVs, it avoids a 2HKO from Reckless GW Staraptor's Brave Bird from full health, 2HKOs 4/252+ Eviolite Chansey with V-Create, and outspeeds Choice Scarf Lando-T at +1.

Dragonite @ Contrary
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: idk
- Superpower
- Draco Meteor
- Iron Head
- Roost / Fire Blast

When Dragonite comes calling, you switch in your Steel/Rock-types and your Intimidators to stop its Aerilated rampage. This is where Contrary Dragonite comes in, so as to wreck your shit. Iron Head is mandatory so that Fairy-types don't just laugh at you. Fire Blast is an option over Roost to pick off pesky Steel-types if you've gathered SpA boosts, rather than Atk boosts.

Kyurem-Black @ Contrary
Ablity: Teravolt
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon

You're using Unaware as your Contrary check? That's cute.

This is stupid (Kyurem) @ Prankster
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 36 Def / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Roost
- Protect
- Dragon Breath

Like I said, this is stupid. Still, PP stall might have a niche here, as probably a few stallbreakers will be opting for high-power, low-PP moves that Kyurem can take 4 PP away from with Sub+Protect before the opponent knows what hit them. If it can wrangle a Substitute, slower attackers will be hard-pressed to break through it before their PP runs out. Dragon Breath lets you spread paralysis against defensive teams that would rather just switch around through all of your PP, while letting you actually do something against opponents that aren't worried about the PP stall. EVs outspeed Lando-T because it seems like a nice thing to be able to paralyze. Aerodactyl can run a comparable set with Taunt, but that loses to Magic Bouncers and gets its Substitutes broken by Seismic toss.

sounds like an interesting OM for sure, some things that came to mind when reading through the thread:

@ Delta Stream
fast pivot capable of stallbreaking, destroying some weather based teams, etc.

OR

@ Intimidate / Regenerator / etc.
nice bird counters, could see use if aerilate spam becomes meta.

[Mega] OR

@ Magic Bounce
stall mons that help deal with the gimmicky stuff that I suspect might be popular (Prankster sleep and whatnot)

@ Unaware / Turboblaze
chansey doesnt gain anything so we turn to bliss to handle those special mons. not sure how useful unaware will be, but naturally that can be switched up.

so many stall possibilities, time to theory mon a bit more

I understand that you said you don't want to change the list, but there are a few items that have niches that are unusable for literally no reason. I don't see why you wouldn't just switch a few items on the list to give a couple more options.

You should remove Multitype, Stance Change, Zen Mode, Flower Gift, Forecast, Friend Guard, Symbiosis, Telepathy, Healer, Plus, Minus, Illuminate, Honey Gather, Run Away, Teravolt, and Turboblaze from the list of item-abilities since they either don't work, do literally nothing in singles, or are redundant.

This would give you room to add things like Flame Orb, Weakness Policy, Air Balloon, Damp/Heat/Smooth/Icy Rock, Cutsap Berry, Salac Berry, Expert Belt, Red Card, and maybe a few damage reducing berries, which all have small niches but are currently unusable.

The only downside to this is a few posts here might have outdated sets if they use any items that you add back in.

Would it be possible to code it in a way that you only need to write the name of the ability in the item field? This would be treated as an item which adds the ability you typed into the item field to the pokemon.

The idea is to make it consistent and objective,

Yeahhh, this would be convenient but it doesn't feel right to exclude abilities, no matter what. It would be subjective and not objective not remove these items to allow x item to be used as its intended purpose. There's literally not enough items to be that picky.

Would it be possible to code it in a way that you only need to write the name of the ability in the item field? This would be treated as an item which adds the ability you typed into the item field to the pokemon.
Ain't possible

judging by all the theorymonning I've seen so far, it feels like this meta favors defensive mons far more than offensive mons. Generally, offensive items 'do more' than defensive items. Stall is mostly going to miss out on leftovers whereas offense is missing out on essentials like lo, band and specs (which would be considered pretty decent abilities if they were abilities).
Compare defensive abilities like unaware, magic bounce, multiscale and regenerator to leftovers. Now compare offensive abilities like protean, adaptability and -ates to lo, band and specs.

I have a strong feeling this meta is going to turn out to be another stallfest like inheritance.
If someone has some good points on why this is not the case, please tell me, because I'd love to have my mind changed.

I disagree, there are some pretty nasty offensive combinations that can take out stall. Take primsea/hydration Manaphy:

Manaphy
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Rest

Crawdaunt says hi

Crawdaunt @ Tough Claws
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Crunch
- Crabhammer

Essentially Tough Claws provides a Life Orb boost, with no recoil! You can still set up a Swords Dance and fuck everything, now without dying to passive damage. Magic Guard Talonflame looks amazing af, and speed boosting in weather ability + Adaptability/Tough Claws users look scary too.

EDIT: 1250 posts o3o

Sometimes stuff on offense carries things like Leftovers or Lum Berries, like setup sweepers and bulky attackers. Those would love to upgrade that item slot to something like Multiscale or Magic Bounce or Tinted Lens. Any setup sweeper can now carry Mold Breaker for Unawares without breaking a sweat. Offense can also carry interesting stallbreakers, such as Trick+Truant on lots of things and Trick+Normalize on Ghost-types. Overall, the meta probably favors defensively-oriented teams, but I wouldn't write offense -- especially bulky offense -- off yet.

Oh this is pretty scary indeed. I didn't really think of weather as something significantly better than specs or band, but using the freedom to switch up moves to run set up and abuse other weather dependent abilities takes the threat levels to a whole new level.

that set gets shut down so easily by delta stream / desolate land which is very easy to fit onto any team offensive or defensive

People seem to be missing the fact that Band/Specs etc (all of the "popular" items on showdown) all retain their current effects - if you want to use ScarfRachi, for example, you still can.

On stallbreaking:

Mew @ Mold Breaker
Ability: Synchronise
EVs: 252 HP / X Def / Y Spe (hit whatever benchmark)
Bold/Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- *generic damaging move*
- Will-O'-Wisp / Soft-Boiled

Thanks to mold breaker, 6-0 full stall (bar prankster)?

edit: yeah I'm dumb, replaced koff

knock off is banned, otherwise, yeah

anyways, some fun stuff i def want to try.

talonflame @ magic guard/tinted lens
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs:4 hp/ 252 atk / 252 spe
Adamant Nature
-Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz / taunt
-Swords Dance / taunt
-Roost

or:

talonflame @ magic guard
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs:252 hp/ 252 SpD / 4 spe
Adamant Nature
-Brave Bird
-Will-O-Wisp/Flare Blitz
-Bulk Up/taunt
-Roost

what happens when you take away 2 things talon hates most? (recoil and hazards for magic guard, and steels and rock types for tinted) you get a absolute monster. talonflame should not be slept on just because now theres a few more abusers of gale wings, talonflame has the advantage of not needing an item to utilize gale wings. not to mention the bulk up set works just as nicely with magic guard, and talon could even run adaptability/tinted lens to break past usual bird checks. all in all, i feel like people are going to forget talonflame mostly because staraptor, braviary, dragonite(with aerialate) and even skarm now are usable, but talonflame is going to be really tough to take down now that its capable of either a) breaking past steels and rock types with priority brave bird, or b) able to completely ignore all forms of recoil. its going to be a monsterous partner to have to deal with for the four birds of prey.

Even better imo:

Sableye @ Turboblaze [Coolest moldy o3o]
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD (speed creep is up to you)
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Foul Play / Toxic / filler

Prankster AND Moldy... RIP stall :D It's also immune to Seismic Toss for the added bonus.

I might as well put some ideas down.

Tangrowth @ Thick Fat
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earthquake

Heatran @ Regenerator
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 216 SpD / 44 Spe
Calm Nature
- Magma Storm
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Earth Power

Slowbro @ Unaware
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Slack Off

Here we have a classic example of Regenerator spam, I have no idea how good it will be but spamming Regenerator 'mons is probably one of my favourite and most brain dead way to win. Of course there may be better mons (like Shaymin + Victini + Manaphy) but a lot of my teams consists of Venusaur + Heatran + Slowbro so this was the first 'mons that came to mind. Again I have no idea how good these sets are especially without Assault Vests but I think it's decent.

Tyranitar @ Regenerator
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 80 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Pursuit
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Ice Beam

Might as well throw in a birdspam check too

I was told to post here a few hours ago...I'll lead with a question:

What happens if you stack Technician and Refrigerate/Aerilate/Pixilate?

Would say Quick Attack go 40 x 1.5 x 1.3 (78)?

What about if it breaks 60 after the first part? IE Round 60 x 1.5 x 1.3 (117)?

Would order matter? (Technician with Pixilate Item vs Pixilate with Technician item)?

PLZ Answer.
