With impressive Speed and outstanding Special Attack, Eternatus can act as a potent Sheer Force attacker, defeating common defensive Pokemon like Melmetal. Eternatus is difficult to wall thanks to its coverage, and its great bulk allows it to survive moves such as Zeraora's Bolt Beak. Thanks to Sheer Force, Sludge Wave is a powerful move that is able to 2HKO various Pokemon such as Zamazenta and Zekrom and OHKO Zacian. Earth Power allows Eternatus to bypass Steel-types such as Melmetal and various Pokemon such as Zekrom, Toxapex, and Tyranitar. Ground-type coverage is especially notable in the metagame, since only a few select Pokemon like Mandibuzz resist or are immune to Ground. Blue Flare is a more powerful alternative coverage move, being able to OHKO non-Flash Fire or Primordial Sea variants of Melmetal, but it has the downside of being ignored by users of Flash Fire or Primordial Sea such as Melmetal, which makes Earth Power more reliable. Dynamax Cannon hits other Dragon-types like Zekrom, which would otherwise avoid the OHKO from Eternatus and KO it in return. Dynamax Cannon has also the advantages of hitting some Pokemon that resist Sludge Wave such as Seismitoad and avoiding mind games around Dynamax. Focus Blast hits bulky Normal-types such as Snorlax, which tend to be able to check Eternatus otherwise, as well as Steel-types, notably Ferrothorn and Corviknight, for more damage. Quiver Dance allows Eternatus to act as a late-game sweeper, letting it outspeed Pokemon like Galarian Darmanitan-Z and Zacian-C that could otherwise revenge kill it. Since Eternatus forces a lot of switches, Spikes is a good option to take advantage of them and weaken its checks. A Timid nature makes the best use of Eternatus's Speed, letting it outspeed Zamazenta-C and everything slower.

Physical attackers such as Zacian-C, Excadrill, and Zekrom are good teammates, since they can help versus most of specially defensive Pokemon like Ice Scales Zamazenta-C. They appreciate Eternatus weakening problematic walls like Melmetal and potentially providing Spikes support. Despite being special attackers, Lunala and Necrozma-DW deserve special mentions as well thanks to their ability to use Psystrike, allowing them to effectively lure in specially defensive Pokemon like Type: Null and hit them on their weaker Defense. On the other hand, defensive Pokemon such as Seismitoad and Primordial Sea Melmetal work well alongside Eternatus, as they can check faster and dangerous attackers for it like Zacian-C and Galarian Darmanitan-Z and, in Seismitoad's case, Imposter-proof it. They can also provide slow U-turn or Teleport support to help bring Eternatus on the field. Having a teammate to Imposter-proof Eternatus such as Ice Scales Type: Null, Snorlax if Eternatus lacks Focus Blast, or Seismitoad if Eternatus lacks Dynamax Cannon is also important.

[SET COMMENTS]
Alternatively, Eternatus can act as a good defensive Pokemon, taking advantage of its outstanding HP stat, good defenses, and decent typing to check common Pokemon such as Zeraora, Barraskewda, and Zamazenta reliably. Eternatus's Speed often allows it to use Recover or an offensive move first, which helps against slower attackers like Zekrom. Fur Coat allows Eternatus to switch in on these aforementioned wallbreakers in spite of moves like Earthquake in Zamazenta's case, while Magic Bounce offers a means of entry hazard control, punishes Strength Sap users, and bounces back status moves. Dynamax Cannon allows Eternatus to threaten opposing Dragon-types such as Zekrom and Kyurem-W, which don't mind its attacks otherwise. However, Sludge Bomb is a option to hit Fairy-types like Zacian and cripple defensive Pokemon due to the poison chance, and it has more PP as well. Spectral Thief lets Eternatus avoid becoming setup fodder for opposing setup sweepers, especially Poison Heal users like Zamazenta. Lava Plume hits Steel-types, which wall this set otherwise, and has a nice chance to burn foes. Finally, Teleport lets Eternatus act as a slow pivot, helping to bring its teammates safely on the field. Moreover, this set is very flexible and various other moves such as Stealth Rock, Defog, and Entrainment can be considered depending on what Eternatus's team needs. A Bold nature is preferred to avoid the 2HKO from Zeraora's Bolt Beak after Black Sludge recovery without Fur Coat, but a Timid nature can be used to outspeed Zamazenta-C.

Zacian-C is a troublesome Pokemon for Eternatus, since Sunsteel Strike ignores Fur Coat and 2HKOes Eternatus after little chip damage. Steel-types like Flash Fire Melmetal and Primoridal Sea Ferrothorn can reliably check Zacian-C and Dragon-types like Zekrom and Reshiram. In return, these Steel-types appreciate Eternatus switching in on Zamazenta, and Zeraora in Melmetal's case. Pokemon like Umbreon, Tyranitar, and Type: Null make good partners thanks to their ability to check Lunala and Mewtwo. In return, Eternatus can provide a switch-in to Zamazenta for them. Mandibuzz and Golisopod can provide switch-ins to Ground-type moves like Excadrill's Earthquake, and they appreciate Eternatus's ability to check Zeraora. It is nice to have teammates that can Imposter-proof Eternatus, such as Poison Heal Zekrom for variants without Dynamax Cannon and Poison Heal Mewtwo for sets without Sludge Bomb, as these don't fear the poison from Sludge Bomb and can pressure the Imposter user enough so it doesn't get to use Teleport and Recover for free. On the other hand, offensive teammates such as Zeraora and Barraskewda can pressure the defensive cores that Eternatus struggles against, and like Eternatus's ability to Imposter-proof them and provide slow pivoting support with Teleport.

(OK so I feel move for SF need of some explaination about why the order, I really think that Earth Power shouldn't be slashed with anything, it is simply too good from my experience to drop out it. About Spikes, I have honestly forgot about that when I have post the set, but I have rembember this after, and tried to go on Spikes/Ice Beam/Toxic and mention dynamax cannon on set details because 3 slash limits rofl)

the first set seem damn too long now

i'd like to change the moves around a bit, i think earth power + blue flare is redundant coverage a lot of the time and theres a few really good options that youre missing. i would change the moves to

Sludge Wave
Earth Power / Blue Flare (blue flare ohkos melm and almost ohkos zama-c, which ep cannot do)
Dynamax Cannon / Focus Blast
Quiver Dance / Spikes

i think ice beam and toxic are just a bit too niche

[SET COMMENTS]
With a impressive Speed and a outstanding Special Attack, Eternatus can act as a Sheer Force attacker, defeating common defensive Pokemon like Melmetal this should talk a bit more in general about the role that etern plays: a fast bulky attacker that's difficult to wall due to powerful coverage. Sludge Wave is the most powerful Poison STAB available, and is boosted by Sheer Force. Earth Power allows Eternatus to bypass and effectively lure in Steel-types such as Melmetal i dont think it really lures them, i feel like most players wont switch melm into an unknown etern set. just say that it hits steels and stuff like zek, reshi, ttar. This coverage is especially notable in the metagame, since only few selected Pokémon like Corviknight resists or are immune to Ground. Focus Blast hit bulky Normal-types such as Snorlax, who tend to be able to check Eternatus otherwise, as well hit Steel-types, notably Ferrothorn and Corviknight for more damage. Blue Flare is a slightly more powerful alternative coverage than Focus Blast, but has the downside to being ignored by users of Flash Fire or of Primordial Sea such as Melmetal, which make Focus Blast more reliable. Since Eternatus create lot of switch, Spikes is a good option to take advantage of that, weakening Eternatus's checks. Ice Beam and Toxic, are also good option. Ice Beam deal with Mandibuzz, Runerigus and Dragapult on the switch in, while Toxic cripple Eternatus's checks like Type:Null. Dynamax Cannon could be also considered, allowing Eternatus to have a reliable way to OHKO opposing Dragon-types like Zekrom when Earth Power and Ice Beam miss this, and avoid Dynamax mindgames as well. However, it not boosted by Sheer Force so Eternatus will take the recoil of the Life Orb. These Dragon-types are also all already heavy damaged by others Eternatus's moves, reducing the need for Dynamax Cannon i think you're underselling dmax cannon here, hitting kyurems and dmax mons is really big and i typically find it more useful than alternatives on etern. it also lets you run blue flare without losing your ability to hit reshi/zek/other eterns. talk about quiver dance here, which lets etern clean through teams late game and prevents stuff like dgz and zac-c from revenge killing it. Timid make the best use of Eternatus speed, outspeeding Zamazenta-C and everything slower than it, including Pokemon like Excadrill you outspeed excadrill without timid anyway, just say that its to outspeed zama-c.

Physical attackers such as Zacian-C, Excadrill and Zekrom are good teammates, since they can help versus most of specially defensive Pokemon like Ice Scales Type:Null, potentially Snorlax and Umbreon if Eternatus lack of Focus Blast. They appreciate Eternatus weakening problematic wall like Melmetal, and potentially Spikes from Eternatus. Even if they are special attackers, Lunala and Necrozma-DW deserve a special mention as well, thanks to their ability to effectively use Psystrike, allowing them to lure in specially defensive Pokemon like Type:Null, in hitting them on their weaker Defense. In the other hand, defensive Pokemon such as Seismitoad, Primordial Sea Melmetal work well along Eternatus, can Imposter-proof it in Seismitoad case, and check faster and dangerous attackers for Eternatus like Zacian-C and Galarian Darmanitan-Zen. They can also provide slow U-turn or Teleport support to help Eternatus to bring it on the field. talk more about imposter-proofs for etern here

Alternatively, Eternatus can act as a good defensive Pokemon, taking advantage of it outstanding HP Stat, good defenses, and it good typing to check reliably common Pokemon such as Zeraora, Marshadow and Golisopod rather than marsh i think itd be better to mention something more common, like barraskewda or smth. Eternatus's Speed allows it to use Recover or a offensive move first, helping against slower attackers like Zekrom. Fur Coat allows Eternatus to switch in on various wallbreakers like Choice Band Zamazenta, while Magic Bounce punish Golisopod's Spikes, and also Poison Heal Zacian's Taunt magic bounce provides a lot more utility than this, talk more generally about how it helps keep hazards off, punishes strength sap, and protects etern from status. taunt ph zacian isnt common enough to be worth mentioning. As move, Dynamax Cannon allows Eternatus to offensively threaten opposing Dragon-types such as Zekrom, who don't mind Eternatus attacks otherwise. However, Spectral Thief avoid that Eternatus is a free set up fodder for opposing set up sweeper, especially Poison Heal these like Zamazenta. Both Lava Plume and Earth Power hit Steel-types witch wall this set otherwise, the first is slightly preferred due to the burn chance, but Earth Power allows to hit these Steel-types even through Flash Fire or Primordial Sea. Finally, Teleport provide a slow pivot, helping Eternatus's teammates in bring them safety in the field. A Bold nature is preferred to avoid the 2HKO of Zeraora's Bolt Beak even without Fur Coat. mention that this set is flexible: you can easily fit in hazards, status, defog, entrainment etc depending on the teams needs

Steel-types like Flash Fire Melmetal and Primoridal Sea Ferrothorn can reliably check Zacian-C and Dragon-types like Zekrom and Reshiram. Zacian-C is a troublesome Pokemon for Eternatus, since Sunsteel Strike ignore Fur Coat and 2HKO Eternatus after few chip damage. Earth Power allows Eternatus to bypass Steel-types such as Melmetal and various Pokemon such as Zekrom, Toxapex and Tyranitar. This coverage is especially notable in the metagame, since only few selected Pokémon like Corviknight resists or are immune to Ground. Blue Flare is a slightly more powerful inaccurate, it is a very significant power boost alternative coverage than Earth Power, but has the downside to being ignored by users of Flash Fire or of Primordial Sea such as Melmetal, which make Earth Power more reliable Mention what benchmarks it hits over EP (Melm, Zama-C). Dynamax Cannon hit others Dragon-types like Zekrom, otherwise they can avoid the OHKO from Eternatus and KO it It is also hits Dynamax and certain Poison resists like Toad and Ghosts. Focus Blast hit bulky Normal-types such as Snorlax, who tend to be able to check Eternatus otherwise, as well hit Steel-types, notably Ferrothorn and Corviknight for more damage. I’ll check over this again before QC 2

Did the above ^ outside of few thing :

-" [...] Choice Band Zamazenta and Zeraora and Barraskewda, while Magic Bounce [...]" We have already mentioned Zera and Barraskewda before, so re-say that seems to me a bit too much. Moreover, we don't particularly need FC to switch in on these. I have changed to "Choice Band Zamazenta even though Earthquake" more accurate+it bring a new information.

-"As move, Dynamax Cannon allows Eternatus to offensively threaten opposing Dragon-types such as Zekrom and Kyurem-W so it cannot switch in, who don't mind Eternatus attacks otherwise." I have implemented the KW mention, but does the sentence in bold are really mandatory? I feel it already kinda impliqued by the end of the original sentence, and both in the same sentence seems weird.

-Before implement Type: Null edits, I ideally would like hear what are the thought of another QC member (or of the QC team) on this, since the viability of Null isn't really defined in the community atm (think BH VR where there are support to name Null for a higher rank than Snorlax).

Overall nice check thanks you chess :')

fwiw etern does need fc to reliably switch into skewda and zeraora:

+1 252 Atk Choice Band Zeraora Bolt Beak (170 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eternatus: 209-246 (43.1 - 50.8%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Choice Band Barraskewda Fishious Rend (170 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eternatus: 223-263 (46 - 54.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

but i agree with you that mentioning them again so soon is redundant. maybe try to reword that section such that you don't have to list pokemon again. on type:null, me and chessking feel that it's not that great but we acknowledge that we're a minority on that. i think i'd prefer if you mentioned something else, but its fine to talk about type:null if you want.

QC 2 if you implement the following and the above rephrasement stuff posted by MAMP:
Thanks to Sheer Force, Sludge Wave is a powerful move, able to 2HKO various Pokemon such as?, and can OHKO Zacian.
All of these aforementioned possible teammates can Imposter-proof Eternatus at various level. I agree that these mons can improof it but a) Etern can carry Sludge so they all get poisoned and b) Imposter goes ham by spamming moves and then Teleporting out, before getting free recovers. I believe that there should be better Improofs that can punish Eternatus, various PH mons that can threaten it can work, other mons that can get up hazards or status it could work too (the mons you listed as "aforementioned" can run these but maybe mention the specific punishing moves).

Changed the part about Zera&Barraska to : "Fur Coat allows Eternatus to switch in on these aforementioned wallbreakers even though move like Earthquake in the Zamazenta's case, while Magic Bounce offers a entry hazards control, punish Strength Sap users and bounce back status move."

Changed the part about improof for the defensive set to "Teammates able to take on a opposing Imposter that come in against Eternatus is nice. Examples include Poison Heal Zekrom for varients without Dynamax Cannon and Poison Heal Mewtwo for sets without Sludge Bomb, these doesn't fear the poison from Sludge Bomb and can pressure engouth the Imposter user for that it doesn't get Teleport and Recover for free."
did everything outside of that (I belive)
annd put the credit for chessking, let me know if there are still issue with the preview before I put QC 2/2 in the title

On the other hand, offensive teammates such as Zeraora and Barraskewda can pressure the defensive cores that Eternatus struggles against, and like Eternatus's ability to Imposter-proof them and provide a slow pivoting support with Teleport as well.
