Now that we know it shows up in the votals I think not revealing is more defensible
When we didn't know that it was better to claim so town doesn't get blindsided by it
Either way I think seeing how people react to hammernomics is important, having mayor unrevealed affects that and if scum know who mayor is, that gives them a big leg up in manipulating the vote imo

Getting info about mafia is good
Hiding info about mafia is bad

So basically Ecat is scum because he didn't reveal on D1 an info that will amount to nothing before D3 IF he is mafia.

Town gains nothing from that, mafia gains way more (which isn't much still, but everything is way more than nothing)
I've disagreed with all your mech takes so far apart from the original claim of the Scum->Scum->Town role chain full clearing someone.

Being able to form a chain without you dying that day so that no one ever knows you're mayor
Knowing how many votes someone has so that we dont hammer by accident
There being more kill possible targets so that doctor can play wifom with mafia
Literally the information that you wouldnt hide information to town

Honestly no true actually, I think it highlights Miyami as scum so that's something
1- Mayor can either claim at EOD/we can just use process of elimination
2- Mayor can control that and if they don't it's a skill issue
3- Resolved if Mayor claims the day after
4- Resolved if the Mayor claims the day after + mafia not having this info on the current day is better than town having it

Peum if multiple people in thread are telling you "I don't get your explanation, can you help me out here" that points to a problem with your explanation, not a problem with the rest of society. I get that it's frustrating but try to relax, nobody is needling you just for fun

there's no point in trying to argument with airc he is literally blindsided, I've already made my arguments for other town, and I've never accused AirC of being mafia for a reason.
