Gen 3 Every Rose Has Its Thorn (RMT)

Now with the Poison reference down, here is my team to rate:

Crobat (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb

Was a Arbok just for all RBY pokes and amusement but this works so much better.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 1 HP / 216 Atk / 1 Def / 204 Spd / 88 SAtk
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Explosion
- Giga Drain
- Ice Punch
- Thunderbolt

Thinking about SubPunch over Explosion and Drain but this has worked.

Weezing (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 1 Atk / 200 Def / 1 Spd / 56 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Haze
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

Needed something that could resist e-quake, have nice defense, haze, and the fire does help.

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 1 HP / 160 Atk / 1 Def / 252 Spd / 96 SAtk
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Hydro Pump
- Sludge Bomb
- Substitute
- Swords Dance

Had ice beam on him over sub which worked but I can't complain with this.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 1 Atk / 104 Def / 56 Spd / 1 SAtk / 96 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis

Big love for the Saur. I was thinking about HP Fire or some other fancy set. Nearly put Vileplume over this for Armotherpy.

Nidoking (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Poison Point
EVs: 4 HP / 212 Atk / 4 Def / 152 Spd / 136 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Shadow Ball
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt

/shrug
It seems to be a new standard. Bolt/beam/sub/punch was the other set I was thinking of running.

Anyway that's it. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Because Swampert kind of walks all over your team barring very accurate switch-ins by you plus Hydro Pump missing, I would suggest this Venusaur:

Venusaur (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 20 Spd / 148 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb

This set solves your special wall problem a bit and it provides the needed resistance against Swampert.

Also, you either need to give your Weezing Explosion or else make your Gengar defensive enough to survive a +1 Dragon Dance Salamence's Hidden Power Flying.

And that Nidoking is a bit weird. What is Taunt for? I would probably stick Megahorn in there somewhere so you have a better chance of beating opposing Celebi.

I hope that helped.

Well as far as poison pogeys goes those are prolly the best ones to go. If we were to excuse ourselves from the theme, Metagross over Crobat would do well for Psychic, Gengar, and CB Flying. You also want a more solid counter for DDGyala than Crobat imo. Zapdos over Gengar or Crobat would be nice. Intereseting Nidoking...not sure what it does though =x You would want Thunder if you truly want to go anywhere when met up with the inevitable waters. Megahorn for Celebi, Fire Blast for Heracross, or Focus Punch for Blissey would be good for coverage.

EDIT: yea, I also like Ugly Duckling's suggestion. Synthesis is pretty worthless with its low PP and sandstream halving its recovery, and Giga Drain let's your team have a chance against Ttars, and is a great way to recover in sandstorms.

Lol, Heracross is like one of the few things that this team is doing a good job at covering with all but Venusaur resisting its Megahorn and Fire Blast weezing.

you have a pretty big psychic weakness, too.

anyways, i don't think gengar nearly needs that much attack just for explosion. explosion is predictable anyway. i'd almost go with something like perish song just so you have something to act as a phazer. then you could dump haze on weezing and give it a much more useful attack (like sludge bomb).

i like the gsc standard tentacruel in rs. it's pretty cool. although i'm not so sure what all the speed makes it faster than that it already wouldn't be faster than. maybe a slower zapdos?

i'd almost consider making nidoking a cb'er too since you lack in physical attacks. two cb'ers and tentacruel would make this team pretty intimidating to switch around against. you could do earthquake/megahorn/2 other physical moves that it gets. shadow ball...and something else. i don't know.

and yeah, i'd take UD's advice about Venusaur, he brought up a good point.

Well I have taken the Venasaur suggestion and used that, haven't tested it yet.
Also the Nidoking, was built as a lame skarm counter or anything around that effect.
Also on the note of psychic being a weakness, not much I can do about that considering my little theme here.
Also Boltbeamers are rather smelly and I even thought of throwing Muk in there for things like that along with his coolness but that gives me a even larger ground weakness.

Oh well long story short. Thanks for the comments so far.

Also I had to edit this to say I heart Choop for still having that signature
