Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Iron Head / Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

With sand becoming a more established playstyle over the last few months, Excadrill has emerged back into the metagame as the archetype's main form of speed control and entry hazard remover all in one. It can outspeed and threaten common speed demons such as Choice Scarf Enamorus and Booster Energy users like Iron Valiant and Iron Moth. Iron Heads's strong neutral hit against Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Rillaboom can be forgone for Rock Slide to hit would-be checks in Zapdos and Moltres. Air Balloon flip its matchup against the aforementioned checks in Landorus-T and Gliscor, take on the likes of Dragonite and Glimmora that run Ground coverage, and makes it sturdier at removing Spikes. Tera Ghost lets it deal with Zamazenta better. As the sand-setting sidekick, Tyranitar can also provide Stealth Rock support or weild a Choice Band to overwhelm shared checks like Zamazenta, Great Tusk, and Corviknight. Grass-types like Hydrapple or Sinistcha are valuable to check Ogerpon-W and Ground-types like Landorus-T and Gliscor for the sand core; the former takes care of balance teams, while the latter checks Zamazenta, both of which Excadrill struggles with.

With sand becoming a more established playstyle over the last few months, Excadrill has emerged back into the metagame as the archetype's main form of speed control and entry hazard remover all in one. It outspeeds and threatens even common speed demons (the wording seems off i don't know if you meant "every common speed demons" or im just reading it wrong) like Choice Scarf Enamorus and Booster Energy users like Iron Valiant and Iron Moth. Iron Heads's strong neutral hit against Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Rillaboom can be forgone for Rock Slide to hit would-be checks in Zapdos and Moltres. Air Balloon flip its matchup against the aforementioned checks in Landorus-T and Gliscor and the likes of Dragonite and Glimmora that run Ground coverage while making it sturdier at removing Spikes. Grass-types like Hydrapple or Sinistcha are valuable to check Ogerpon-W and Ground-types like Landorus-T and Iron Treads (I would do Gliscor or Tusk instead of Treads to keep it consistent with previous mentions)for the sand core; the former takes care of balance teams, while the latter checks Zamazenta, both of which Excadrill struggles with.

All good for QC 1/1, some comments to take into consideration.

With sand becoming a more established playstyle over the last few months, Excadrill has emerged come back into the metagame as the archetype's main form of speed control and entry hazard remover all in one. It can outspeed and threaten common speed demons such as Choice Scarf Enamorus and Booster Energy users like Iron Valiant and Iron Moth. Iron Heads's Head's strong neutral hit against Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Rillaboom can be forgone for Rock Slide to hit would-be checks in Zapdos and Moltres. Air Balloon flip flips its matchup against the aforementioned checks in Landorus-T and Gliscor, lets it take on the likes of Dragonite and Glimmora that run Ground coverage, and makes it sturdier at removing Spikes. Tera Ghost lets it deal with Zamazenta better more effectively. As the sand-setting sidekick, Tyranitar can also provide Stealth Rock support or weild wield a Choice Band to overwhelm shared checks like Zamazenta, Great Tusk, and Corviknight. Grass-types like Hydrapple or and Sinistcha are valuable to check Ogerpon-W and Ground-types like Landorus-T and Gliscor are useful for the sand core; the former takes care of balance teams, while the latter checks Zamazenta, both of which Excadrill struggles with.
