FALCON PAWNCHHH

HELLO SMOGON

Hi, so I’m The QWAZ but I highly doubt that any of you know me as I’m relatively new here and have only been on PO since the middle of March. Any ways I’ve been laddering on the DW tier with this team for a week or two and peaked around 50-ish, which i feel is fairly good considering i started in the low 1000 range. So when i was dreaming this team up i knew that i was going to build around everybody's favorite slightly obscene pokemon Cloyster, then i migrated this team to the DW because i was tired of everybody calling me a (BAN ME PLEASE) or a noob ect. (i was very low down the ladder, there place where the charizard roam). Any way i then began to stick the team together, until i ended up this the ever so slightly above average team i have till this very day.

so as i said i wanted to base team around Cloyster, because it very hard to stop without priority once it sets up, and if it is near full health only vacuum wave really works, i decided to use a focus sash set so it could actually revenge a special attacker i also decided to go fully physical so it just might be able to live an ice beam

Because Cloyster has issues braking dedicated walls and steel types i decided to add deoxys-s to provide the crucial hazards, i chose to run SR, spikes taunt and ice beam. taunt has proved useful by stopping many a set up sweeper in their tracks and ice beam can maul dragons and gliscor (landorus is never used in DW)

So i still needed a way to destroy steels and bulky waters, for the steels, who else but Magnezone i chose the substitute set,Magnezone could beat some waters but Couldn't beat keldeo, gastrodon ect. so i stuck on breloom, I would of added it any way because it is just so good although it is a tad predicable.

So next i added on blaziken because i felt a bit weak to faster teams, and because it is possibly the most broken thing in the DW metagame, it can 6-0 sun teams with ease, and it is so easy to set up with i can easily switch it in and out without to much worry.

Then scarf latios was added to serve as a revenge killer and all out nuke, the scarf allows me to run a modest nature for even more power, although tihs is my least useful pokemon and i do need a spin blocker i am considering replacing this with chandy or gengar

(i know this is deo-n bear with me)
Deoxys-s
Ability: Pressure
Nature:timid
@leftovers
EV's: 252hp/252spe/4spa
-stealth rock
-spikes
-taunt
-ice beam
This is my hazard setter and 99% of the time my lead, i chose this because i need hazards (obviously) and no other hazard setter is fast enough for my liking. The EV's are self explanatory maximum speed and bulk, the EV's allow me to take 3 pursuits (no switching boost)from a specially defensive tyranitar. the speed is for maximum hazards, and to out-speed dragonite after a DD and maul it with ice beam, the Spa EV's are for dragons, gliscor and the odd celebi or landorus. there are no changes that i am thinking of making to this pokemon, although i do find myself 5-6 down fairly fast in most matches

Cloyster
Ability: Skill link
Nature: jolly
@focus sash
EV's: 252atk/252spe/4def
-shell smash
-icicle spear
-rock blast
-Razor shell
THIS. IS. CLOYSTER.
jokes aside this thing is an absolute beast, many an unsuspecting team has been blown to pieces by the power of a clam. The EV's are very simple max attack and max speed, equal max chaos and icy death. Shell smash is the crux of the set and is the best boosting move ever one use sends his attack and speed skyrocketing to over 550 and it still has enough physical bulk to live most physical priority moves if it is at >70%. Icicle spear is part 2 of what makes this little shell so leathal, because it will always hit 5 times thanks to skill link it's base power reaches an outstanding 125 bp without STAB yeah.
Rock blast lets me take out...i use it against... i never really use it, apart from taking out Chandelure but other than that it sees very little use. Razor shell is great i chose it over Hydro pump because of its rage inducing 50% chance to lower defense, causing switches if the opponents pokemon actually survives.
If you cant already tell i think cloyser is very good.

Breloom
Ability: Technician
Nature:Adamant
@shed shell
EV's: 252atk/24spe/232hp
-spore
-swords dance
-mach punch
-bullet seed
This guy has got me out of so tight spots you would not believe it, now on this pokemon the EV's are not so simple max attack is obvious but because, brelooms strategy, is spam mach punch, speed isn't need as much and near max hp helps allot more than you would imagine. Spore is Spore, simple it virtually kills a pokemon and makes breloom what it is, most of the time spore means a switch which lets me swords dance boosting my attack to obscene levels, breloom also acts as my check to sand teams as it decimates excadrill and t-tar in one hit. Bullet seed is mainly filler, because it is very unreliable without skill link but it still decimates any non resistors, at +2 it 1KO'S a full health spiritomb. This is a very solid team member and i would have to be very well convinced to change it at all

Blaziken
Ability: speed boost
Nature: adamant
@ leftovers
-protect/baton pass
-swords dance
-hi jump kick
-flare blitz
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, this thing is so powerful if my opponent lets it get to +2/+2 it's often GG there and then, the EV's are for enough power to 1 hit garchomp at +2 with HJK, the Speed ev's allow me to outspeed most common scarfers, politoed, gensect ect after 1 boost, scarf chomp requiers 2 boosts though, but there not that hard to get. Protect allows me to scout a move or the switch, as well as giving me a psuedo-scarf, swords dance is used to skyrocket my attack stat to over 700. Hi jump kick is my main move it packs extraordinary power, even more so after a boost it cleanly 1 Ko's politoad, opposing blaziken, gensect, garchomp and most importantly keldeo who otherwise destroys this team. flare blitz now normally this plays a secondary role to HJK but if i'm playing a sun team there in for a shock a flaming chicken shaped shock to be precise, a sun boosted +2 flare blitz does >80% to a 0/0 giratina-o, so just imagine what it can do to the frail pokeemon on a sun team.

Magnezone
Ability: magnet pull
Nature: modest
Item: Leftovers
EV's:252spa/252spe/4hp
-substitute
-flash cannon
-thunderbolt
-hidden power [fire]
This guy's sole purpose is to eliminate the steels that stop cloyster cold, the basic principle is to bring it on a steel with no moves that can harm it, set up the sup and kill it, then try to damage the rest of their team as much as possible. The EV's are again very simple full special attack and speed to maximize offensive presence, now you might think the nature is odd but, magnezone out speeds all relevant OU steels even with a modest nature bar heatran who i should not switch into and jirachi; the power boost is very welcome and helps me take the opponents team apart, that little bit easier.
Thunderbolt is my obligatory STAB and hits everything that doesn't resist it for solid damage, flash cannon only really gets used to destroy t-tar switch-ins, substitute provides a buffer to damage and status, such as spore and just makes my life a little easier. HP fire is used to deal with the steels magnezone traps, although because of chandelure allot of them carry shed shell, wich diminishes it's usefulness a little bit

Latios
Ability: levitate
Nature: timid/modest
item: choice scarf
EV's: 252spa/252spe/4hp
-draco meteor
-dragon pulse
-surf
-trick
my revenge killer and general special nuke, it does do it's job very well and benefits from magnezones trapping skills, but... i don't know in some games he is dead weight while in others he is the MVP, any way again incredibly simple EV's to maximize it's killing potential. now onto the moves Draco meteor is my hit and run attack, used mostly to smash some poor pokemons head in, it also helps my team in dragon slaying if for some reason cloyster is down and out. Dragon pulse is what i use if i want to stay in for a couple of turns or to kill some low health thing and be able to stay in. Surf is used exclusively for heatran and sometimes jirachi as on occasion magnezone cannot trap them, i also use surf when facing rain teams as it allows me to blow any of their non waters to the moon. Now you're probably thinking how on earth do i get past blissy or ferrothorn, well neither of them will enjoy a choice scarf, will they? this also lets me steal their leftovers if i feel like staying in for a while. i have one question thought timid or modest?

Thank you for taking the time to read this any help would be much appreciated, but please try not to suggest pokemon like d-nite or terrakion, because i'm a hipster douche bag

WE ARE THE CLAM CLAN ORAGHHHHH

Well kool team just Sand might be a big trouble because Sand Has Excadrill ans something i do see is Blaziken being OHKO'd by Earthquake if LO thn from there it outspeeds and kills your team being latios the only thing to check it with surf and CS.
T-tar can gt rid of Latios pretty fast so thats not a switch you would want to make so try Focus Sash over Leftovers and as a lead with vacuum wave.It might sound weird but look at this.
Blaziken is Base 80
Excadrill is base 88
you need 3 boost to outspeed and kill it
focus sash allows you to Protect(1 turn)Swords dance(2 turns)and Protect(3 turns)
that set gives you +3 speed and +2 Atk.
Blaziken Doesnt need the priority to kill breloom because if you let breloom die you can send in Choyster which can outspeed and kill with Icicle Spear but what would be better is priority in th form of Ice sharf which you would replace Razor shell for.
Dont quote me on this but i think ice shard OHKO's Techniloom so dont worry about it.
Great team
Try out the things i recomend and see if it works

Hope i helped :]

well whenever i see an exadrill, i send in brellom on the SD or whatever then kill it with mach punch, when i see a sand team my top priority is to keep brellom alive for exadrill and t-tar, ill try sash blaziken, but sand breaks the sash wich could make it redundant a lot of the time, ice shard on cloyster leaves me utterly walled bysteels, it can kill some.
thank you for the suggestions

Hello! I'm not sure what EVs you use on Blaziken, but I suggest using 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD and a Jolly nature, preventing Genesect from getting a boost to Special Attack. The Jolly nature also lets you outspeed most variants of Chandelure at +1, since Chandelure is almost always Modest. I also suggest using an Air Balloon over Leftovers. An Air Balloon gives you more chances to switch Blaziken in, and also allows you to set up on Excadrill when it switches in if the balloon is intact. If you want, you could also use Night Slash over Protect. Night Slash nets a OHKO on Chandelure at +2, but makes it harder to set up. Good luck with your team!

Code:
Blaziken (F) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Hi Jump Kick
- Night Slash

This is a very cool team. One thing I would change, though, is the Latios.

I think Latios would be better with specs. Most of your team is full of set-up, and the immediate destructive power to punch holes in the opposing team this thing brings to the table would be greatly beneficial to your team, especially when facing Pokemon you just can't risk setting up on. As for revenge killing, the Pokemon that normally threaten it when holding a scarf (like terrakion) are quite frail and will either be hit hard or die to a technician-boosted mach punch from Breloom.
Also, if you baton pass the speed boost from blaziken to latios, he will be quite fast as well as having much more destructive power than scarf ever did. EDIT: (assuming you keep the baton pass set, although night slash would be handy, as cloyster is your only check to chandelure, and a scarf set will be faster than him before a shell smash.)

Hope this helps.
