Hey all! I haven't been playing Pokemon for around 2 years and I have decided to come back after a really long hiatus from the competitive Pokemon scene. This is my first attempt at making a 5th generation team, so all help is greatly appreciated! I have made this team and tested for a good bit but unfortunately, this team was shortlived. The majority of this team were from my OU team in 4th generation but fortunately, almost all of them have fallen from OU hence the title. Since Mew is getting banned, I was hoping for a final rating of this team and hopefully, something that would help me replace the hole that the promotion of Mew left.

Team Building Process
The initial reason why I wanted to start 5th gen battling at the UU level was because a certain Pokemon caught my eye. In the beginning of 4th gen, it was hyped as one of the few Pokemon that could OHKO Blissey with a special attack after a turn of set up. So I started everything off with a Porygon-Z.
474.gif

Since I had a special attacker in the form of Porygon-Z as a special attacker, I decided to compliment it with a physical attacker in the form of Mew.
474.gif
151.gif

In order for Mew and Porygon-Z to have an easier time sweeping, they would require entry hazards. I wanted a Pokemon that would be able to take a hit and still help after it has set entry hazards so I chose the almost indestructable Bronzong.
437.gif
474.gif
151.gif

I wanted to make the most of my entry hazards so I decided to find something that would be able to phaze my opponent's pokemon and rack up residual damage. A personal favourite of mine to use previous generation popped up into mind and without hesitation, Suicune joined the team.

My defenses seemed stack by then, but there was a major weakness on the special side so a special attack absorber would be needed. I needed something with lots of resistances so it would be a good switch in to the numerous types of special attacks that would have come my way. Alongisde with decent bulk, Zapdos has a plethora of resistances to common attack-types. Previously using a specially defensive Zapdos previous generation, I knew how good this thing is.

Lat but not least, I wanted something that performed a role like Scizor's in OU. I wanted something that could scout the opponent's Pokemon and get in a couple of U-Turns to slowly stack up damage. Flygon was the only thing that came to mind.

bronzong.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock

Bronzong is the Pokemon that gets everything going. Bronzong itself brings many things to the table. It sets up the rocks which my sweepers much need. and further weakens them with Toxic in order to secure my chances of sweeping. Bronzong comes with the many resistances my team dearly needs in order to survive. With maximum defensive EVs, it brings a physical being that doesn't go down easily. Despite the neutral typing, his is often my switch in to common Dark type attackers such as Weavile, Honchkrow, Krookodile which other members (barring Suicune) of the team cannot take. It takes care of dangerous sweepers such as Flygon locked into Outrage and proceed to take it down. It is always a valuable switch in as it does not take spike damage, can come in to eat a Toxic which otherwise just eats away at my team, and serves as death fodder late game when it's use is just depleted.

porygonZ.png

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse

The Pokemon that I centered the team around. Porygon-Z is almost guaranteed a late game sweep if everything plays right. STAB Tri-Attack along with Adaptability lets it at least 2HKO almost everything in the tier. Once playing the starring role on the party, Porygon-Z has regressed to a lesser role playing behind Mew as the primary sweeper, but is still a prime member of my team. The other 3 attacks are used only if I can't get over something with Tri-Attack but are seldom used. Timid nature is used to have as much speed as possible since Porygon-Z needs it in order to take down big threats such as scarfed Heracross and Chandelure as well as everything else non-boosted in the tier.
suicune.png

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald
- Roar

Suicune plays a very prominant role in this party, one that absorbs Fire type attacks that most of my party is afraid of. The infamous CroCune set is used because of Suicune's lack of recovery which greatly increases Suicune's longitivity. Roar is a very key move for Suicune as it has helped me win countless games. This gets rid of all the annoying set up/substitute sweepers that otherwise would give my team hell. It helps me as well by getting some more hazard damage which is always appreciated. Scald is sometimes not as useful as it should be especially once someone has found out my set. The Heracross always comes into the Scald and gets the burn which can wreak havoc on my team if not dealt with soon. I'm thinking of switching it just to Surf for the more damage but the burn to Pokemon such as Machamp, Sharpedo and of those sort is very much appreciated.
flygon.png

Flygon (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn

Flygon plays a reduced role of a scout because of team preview but is a very welcome presence on this team. Flygon helps revenge kill many threats with it's unrivaled speed thanks to Choice Scarf. The role of Flygon is very self explanitory as it helps revenge kill what are the most threatening Pokemon in the meta. STAB Earthquake dents holes in everything that isn't resistant or immune to it and it sports the strongest non-boosted Outrage in the tier. Flygon helps also as an offensive presence which my team is not very plentiful in and can potentially sweep late-game itself.

zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 228 SDef / 32 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Thunder Wave
- Heat Wave

Zapdos plays a pivotal role in my team. With a handful of resistances, it can switch into almost any special attacker and take the attack and fire off decently powered Thunderbolts. This is my usual switch into Chandelure as scarfed Overheat is even a 2HKO. This also plays a very important role of a crippler which allows Mew to sweep more easily. Zapdos also has the only reliable Fire-type move in my entire party which gets rid of that annoying Heracross, Amoonguss, Shaymin and enemy Bronzong. With Zapdos' decent bulk, I often have myself switch it into neutral or resistant physical attacks as well and have it take it quite nicely and retalite with a Thunderbolt for good damage, or get in a thunder wave to render it less effective. With that saying, it cannot be relied on switching in to physical attacks very often but it can rely on Bronzong and Suicune who both resist the super effective Rock and Ice attacks respectively and compliments Suicune by resisting those Grass moves.
mew.png

Mew @ Life Orb
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Drain Punch
- Zen Headbutt

Mew plays an invaluable role in this party as the only boosting sweeper. Mew poises a huge threat to the enemy team as it can switch into attacks easily with it's decent bulk. With a decently-high attack stat, and coverage only losing out to Sableye, Mew is truly a menace and the most threatening member of my party. It has torn through teams before by itself only and if it doesn't, it leaves a huge dent the opponent cannot recover from. Mew is the Pokemon that greatly benefits from Zapdos' Thunder Wave and is a big appreciator of entry hazard damage. Along with the second best priority move in the game, STAB Zen Headbutt is a massive damage dealer which can OHKO almost everything that doesn't resist it after a Swords Dance. Drain Punch is what gets rid of those pesky Dark and Steel types and the HP recovery that is very much appreciated after Life Orb damage and other attacks. Jolly nature is used along with max speed EVs in order to speed-tie with every other 100 base in the tier.

That's it everyone! This is my party, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and a suggestion for Mew's replacement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading everyone and thanks for your help!

Threat list.
UU OffensiveThreats
142.png
-Aerodactyl: Have never faced an Aerodactyl, but Bronzong is a surefire counter. It walls every single attack it uses and can quickly OHKO with a Gyro Ball. Suicune can take any attack that it throws at it as well and fire off a Scald to take it out. Switched in correctly, or predicted correctly, everything in this party can take it down in a hit or get an easy revenge kill.
424.png
-Ambipom: Everything besides Porygon-Z, Flygon and maybe Mew are willing to take any attack from it. Bronzong and Suicune handle Ambipom quite well and everything can take it out with one or two attacks.
059.png
-Arcanine: It is completely shut down by Suicune, but if Suicune is gone, I probably have to sacrifice something or take heavy damage in order to kill it. Zapdos is what I would switch into if I had nothing willing to take a Flare Blitz, but Flygon should be able to switch into a Wild Charge or Flare Blitz if it has to and proceed to take it out with STAB Scarfed EQ.
482.png
-Azelf: Zapdos completely handles Azelf and 2HKOs it with Thunderbolt. If it does not run Flamethrower, Bronzong also walls it to the end of the world. All the attackers in my party should be able to take it out, but is risky because of the possibility of it dying when it is switched in.
184.png
-Azumarill: Suicune, Zapdos and Bronzong can take hits from it day in and day out. Banded Aqua Jet hurts most of my attackers but it shouldn't poise a big problem.
625.png
-Bisharp: Is a threat to my team if I mispredict with Mew or if all my defensive Pokemon are gone. Getting it out of there early game is what I try my best to do. Should not be a big problem as long as either Zapdos, Suicune or Bronzong are out.
609.png
-Chandelure: It is guaranteed a kill if Zapdos is killed. It is an easy revenge kill though. A switch into Zapdos/Suicune to take Fire Blasts and threaten it out along with Stealth Rocks make it not much of a problem.
638.png
-Cobalion: Suicune roars out the Substitute Swords Dance kind while Bronzong can take hits from it and retalite with a STAB Earthquake. Mew enjoys coming in to start firing off Drain Punches to take it down as well.
169.png
-Crobat: It has never been a threat to my team. Everything either outspeeds or can handle any attack from it.
555.png
-Darmanitan: This is quite the problem for my party. If Suicune is gone, this guy is pretty much guaranteed a kill. Best bet is to kill it early game or sacrifice something to revenge kill it.
632.png
-Durant: If played correctly, Durant is a nuisance to my party. It can easily take out my Mew and resist my Porygon-Z's Tri Attack. the best bet is to take it out with Zapdos or slowly poke it to death with Scald from Suicune or Earthquake from Bronzong.
604.png
-Eelektross: Can be a quite the threat if it is left untouched until late-game. The only way over it is through pure power.
589.png
-Escavalier: It's slow speed can be taken advantage of quite easily. Just take it out with Zapdos or Flygon's fire moves.
330.png
-Flygon: Suicune or Bronzong takes care of it. I have to be cautious when taking Outrages with Suicune though. A sucker punch from Mew usually does the deal.
478.png
-Froslass: It's annoying but nothing that couldn't be handled.
475.png
-Gallade: Does not poise much of a threat.
596.png
-Galvantula: Can be a threat if I predict wrong, otherwise it's a very easy Pokemon to take out.
623.png
-Golurk: Completely handled by anything not called Flygon or Mew.
368.png
-Gorebyss: There's no safe switch in to Gorebyss but Flygon and Porygon-Z outspeed it after a shell smash and should be able to OHKO it.
214.png
-Heracross:Quite the interesting Pokemon, as it hurts even if you send in something resisted. My defensive walls are threatened by Heracross because they don't resist it. I always find a way to take it out though, through switching through Zapdos, Flygon, Porygon-Z etc.
430.png
-Honchkrow: It hurts. Zapdos is the only thing I can think of that can take a Brave Bird and take it down with super effective Thunderbolt.
229.png
-Houndoom: Zapdos can take unboosted Fire Blasts but it becomes a problem after it sets up. It's revenge killed by Flygon and Porygon-Z
230.png
-Kingdra: Suprisingly, I've never faced one but I hope to take out out with my own Dragon type before it gets up a second Dragon Dance.
553.png
-Krookodile: After a Moxie boost, this becomes a big threat. Suicune takes care of it easily, or Flygon can switch into a locked Earthquake and U-Turn out.
549.png
-Lilligant:Zapdos can stop anything it tries to do, but needs to be wary of HP Ice or Rock. Bronzong can take a few hits but cannot do anything back to it.
068.png
-Machamp: Confusion is annoying but Suicune/Mew can take care of it.
151.png
-Mew: Swords Dance varients hurt and can take down almost all of my team. I need to get it killed before I do anything else.
429.png
-Mismagius: Zapdos can take it before it gets a Nasty Plot. It is easily revenge killed.
146.png
-Moltres: Zapdos and/or Suicune can take anything it throws at them (besides HP Rock @ Zapdos) and hit it back with a super effective move.
034.png
-Nidoking: Hopefully I switch into it correctly and hit it with a super effective, or this thing does big damage to me.
291.png
-Ninjask: Stealth & Roar just takes it out.
139.png
-Omastar: Zapdos is what I need to resort to if it's not boosted. A boosted rock attack will likely take out Zapdos, but Flygon and Porygon-Z can still outspeed and take care of it.
062.png
-Poliwrath: Zapdos and Mew can hit it for super effective.
474.png
-Porygon-Z: Bronzong can wall it day and night while Flygon can OHKO it with an Outrage. Zapdos can be a switch in as well.
243.png
-Raikou: Often needs something as death fodder before I take out Flygon/Porygon-Z to go in for the kill.
464.png
-Rhyperior: I have a lot of problem with Rhyperior if Suicune is out of the picture. It can one handedly take out my team if Suicune is gone and this needs to be addressed.
QRFqW.gif
-Rotom-C: Zapdos walls it day in and day out.
yLjKx.gif
-Rotom-H: Hopefully I switch into it correctly with Suicune/Zapdos/Flygon and get the kill in.
254.png
-Sceptile: Zapdos can take a Leaf Storm and retaliate with a Heat Wave if it doesn't run HP Ice.
545.png
-Scolipede:It's troubling when it lays some Toxic Spikes but is a piece of cake to take out. Megahorn hurts though.
319.png
-Sharpedo: Suicune just walls it completely. It can get troublesome if Suicune is gone and has a few speed boosts though.
492.png
-Shaymin:Zapdos and Bronzong to wall it. Bronzong can toxic and fire off some Gyro Balls while Zapdos hits it with Heat Waves.
561.png
-Sigilyph: This has never been seen but I'm pretty sure Mew or Porygon-Z can handle it.
235.png
-Smeargle: Offensive threat?
143.png
-Snorlax: Mew can take it out if it gets up a swords dance, or I can just stall it out with Suicune.
508.png
-Stoutland: Bronzong and Suicune can easily handle it.
245.png
-Suicune: Offensive Calm Mind is quite the threat but nothing that cannot be revenge killed.
468.png
-Togekiss: Zapdos just shuts it down but can get annoying from ParaFlinch.
049.png
-Venomoth: Zapdos once again can wall this thing and hit it with a heat wave.
494.png
-Victini: Suicune is the only safe switch in to a banded V-Create. Revenge killing it shouldn't be a problem though.
461.png
-Weavile: Bronzong and Suicune can come in and just take anything this thing throws at them and kill it off.
469.png
-Yanmega: It gets to be a problem if it gets enough speed boosts or is specs compoundlens.
571.png
-Zoroark: The only problem with Zoroak is his ability, which always catches me by suprise for some reason but is easily handled by my scarfed Pokemon or Zapdos, though it can't take repeated boosted attacks.

UU Defensive Threats

009.png
-Blastoise: Blastoise loses one on one with Zapdos and can be 2HKOed by Porygon-Z after Stealth Rocks. Rapid Spin is a nuisance and it's even worse if it carries Toxic or gets the burn from Scald.
437.png
-Bronzong: I never realized how annoying this thing is until I personally faced one myself. I have to continuously hit it with neutral special attacks or a few Heat Waves from Zapdos or this becomes a big problem.
344.png
-Claydol: Is not a big problem with all the super effective moves I have against this thing, but dual screens, trick room or ones that tend to stall a lot are bothersome.
036.png
-Clefable: I have a big problem with this if Mew is gone. Those Cosmic Power ones are especially annoying and cannot be taken out.

I'll try to address your concerns in a coherent order for easier understanding.

Your Rhyperior issue isn't necessarily as bad as you think, as Bronzong should also be able to counter it in addition to Suicune. If you're that concerned about it, switch out Thunder Wave for HP Grass on Zapdos. Since you're planning to replace Mew anyway, you carry two scarfers, and you have other status users in Bronzong and Suicune, Thunder Wave is pretty expendable.

For your Mew replacement, are you determined for that slot to be a boosting sweeper? If you're flexible, Nidoking could be a viable replacement as your team currently does not have any Water, Ground, or Psychic weaknesses. The only weakness Nidoking has that is already on your team is Ice, which is more than compensated for by Suicune and Bronzong. The standard Nidoking set should suffice with Life Orb, max SpA/max Spe Timid, Sheer Force and EPower/Sludge Wave/Ice Beam/Fire Blast. Tbolt is not needed due to you already having two users. You can actually get creative with Nidoking's movepool here in an effort to surprise your opponent, since you already have two other pokes with Fire moves and Ice Beam can easily be slapped on Suicune over Sleep Talk (you don't need to shuffle if SR is your only hazard). Perhaps an alternative set of Epower/Ice Beam/Focus Miss/Shadow Ball could work here.

For Flygon, go with Adamant over Jolly if you're running scarf. I can tell you from experience that his Attack just isn't high enough to not run a boosting nature, and losing the speed tie with other scarfed base 100s isn't the end of the world.

One thing you'll lose by replacing Mew is access to priority, but you have two scarfers so I don't think you'll miss it that much.

To start out, your team could really use the presence of a wallbreaker, I think having two scarfers really holds your team back because your team simply doesn't hit hard enough, and therefore does not generate much pressure on the opponent. Your team has little to no chance against stall because of this, so I would recommend replacing your Porygon-Z with a Nasty Plot Togekiss. This set is almost an auto-win against stall and can be a huge pain to offense as well, dealing immense damage after a Nasty Plot boost to every offensive pokemon that doesn't resist flying. Togekiss also helps deal with all the new fighting types in the tier, taking a hit and 1HKOing Heracross and Mienshao, and outspeeding and 2HKOing Scrafty. This is the Togekiss set I would recommend:

Togekiss (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 176 HP / 80 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Nasty Plot
- Heal Bell
- Roost

If you were to try that Togekiss, your team would need a lategame cleaner, since Flygon simply isn't powerful enough to muscle it's way through teams at the end of a game. Therefore, I would recommend Sharpedo as your Mew replacement. Sharpedo is the best lategame cleaner in the tier, and once teams have been worn down by Togekiss, Zapdos, and Flygon, Sharpedo comes in to finish the job. An all physical set works best in UU:

Sharpedo (F) @ Life Orb Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Protect

I hope these suggestions helped!

Good ideas; however Togekiss's role on the team is questionable, since it has a boosting a move, a STAB move, and a cleric move. What is this?

Also, If you don't like EQ on Sharpedo, you can also try Ice Fang for other coverage, but it depends who you're more worried about going up against.

It's the Stallbreaker set. Of the three types that resist Air Slash, none of them are going to want to have to deal with a +6 Air Slash. The cleric move keeps itself and the team healthy against stall teams, and roost allows it to simply live longer. He's simply patching up a weakness for the team.
