VGC Farigiraf

[OVERVIEW]

* Farigiraf is currently one of the bulkiest Trick Room setters in the meta. Its ability, Armor Tail, prevents its teammates from succumbing to priority moves, making it difficult to prevent Farigiraf from setting Trick Room.

* Hariyama, Amoonguss, and Kingambit are good partners for Farigiraf. Hariyama and Farigiraf both benefit from each other, as Fake Out allows Farigiraf to more consistently get up Trick Room, which enables Hariyama, as it thrives inside of Trick Room and checks Farigiraf's common counters. Amoonguss can redirect moves targeted at Farigiraf and Spore anything inside Trick Room to take them out of the game. Kingambit benefits from the Snarl that Farigiraf struggles against and plays well in Trick Room.

* Choice Band Meowscarada and Hydreigon are the biggest checks to Farigiraf, as both threaten to OHKO it. Amoonguss is another check, as it can Spore Farigiraf before it manages to get Trick Room up. It also struggles against Imprison from Indeedee, Gallade, and opposing Farigiraf.

[SET]
name: Bulky Trick Room
move 1: Hyper Voice
move 2: Psyshock / Dazzling Gleam
move 3: Trick Room
move 4: Imprison / Helping Hand / Protect
item: Safety Goggles / Sitrus Berry / Colbur Berry
ability: Armor Tail
nature: Quiet / Modest
tera type: Fairy / Normal
evs: 180 HP / 68 Def / 76 SpA / 180 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hyper Voice is a decently strong Normal-type STAB move for Farigiraf to spread chip damage that softens up opponents for its allies. Psyshock tackles common Psychic-weak Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Gengar, whereas Dazzling Gleam improves its matchup into common checks like Meowscarada and Hydreigon. Imprison is used on fast offensive teams that would otherwise struggle against opposing Trick Room teams. Helping Hand allows Farigiraf to supplement a harder hitting teammate's damage output.

* Safety Goggles provides an immunity to Spore from Amoonguss and Breloom, who would otherwise prevent Trick Room from going up with it. Sitrus Berry gives Farigiraf longevity with recovery. Colbur Berry allows Farigiraf to consistently get Trick Room up in the face of Meowscarada and Hydreigon.

* For other notable items, Mental Herb prevents fast Taunt users like Talonflame from interrupting Farigiraf's Trick Room. Life Orb or Throat Spray are good options to improve Farigiraf's already decent damage output. Rocky Helmet can also be used for an answer to unsuspecting Maushold.

* 180 EVs in HP allow Farigiraf to survive maximum HP Annihilape Final Gambit, and the defensive investment allows it to always survive Tera Steel Choice Specs Gholdengo Make It Rain and Focus Sash Meowscarada Knock Off.

* Tera Fairy is more of a defensive Tera type, giving it a resistance to all the types that Farigiraf was previously weak to while gaining STAB on Dazzling Gleam. Tera Normal adds damage onto Hyper Voice and removes its Dark weakness.

[OVERVIEW]

* Farigiraf is currently one of the bulkiest Trick Room setters in the meta. Its bulk of 120 HP and 70 in both defenses combined with its amazing defensive typing of Normal/Psychic makes it difficult to KO before setting up TR. (This feels super fluffy when you've already said it's one of the bulkiest TR setters. Think I'd combine this idea with the fact it has Armor Tail below, to create a really good 1-2 sentence "profile" of why you use this thing)

* Armor Tail prevents only your side of the field from succumbing to priority moves, making it difficult to prevent Farigiraf from using TR. (Read above)

* Not only is it a TR setter, but with the use of Imprison, it has a strong matchup against other TR teams when used on fast hyper offense teams. (I'd like this only being mentioned in the set)

* Hariyama, Amoonguss, Kingambit and Annihilape are good partners for Farigiraf. Hariyama has a positive matchup against Farigiraf's main weaknesses, and has access to Fake Out. Amoonguss can redirect moves targeted at Farigiraf and Spore an opponent trying to reverse the Trick Room. Kingambit and Annihilape both benefit from the Snarl that Farigiraf struggles against. (Annihilape is not always Defiant, but it's also not clear what you mean by this at all on first read) (I'd like to make this a little bit more brief overall "Hariyama is a partner that benefits from Farigiraf, as it thrives under Trick Room while checking Hydreigon." Think your Amoonguss point is fine, but is Sporing something trying to reverse Trick Room the main reason we're using Amoonguss? No, it's just really damn good in TR, helps Farigiraf get it set up and then Spores stuff to take them out of the game)

* Meowscarada (I'm gonna need to see proof of how this OHKOs the Farigiraf that you provided. Your set actually lives Jolly Band Meowscarada Knock Off pretty reliably) and Hydreigon are the biggest checks to Farigiraf in the current meta, as these two both threaten to OHKO it. Amoonguss is another check, as it can Spore Farigiraf before it manages to get TR up. Another check to note is that it struggles against Imprison from Indeedee, Gallade and other Farigiraf. (I don't know if this is worth mentioning this)

* While under Trick Room, Farigiraf applies offensive pressure through STAB Hyper Voice and softens foes up for its allies. (You go on to mention something like this any way)

[SET]
Bulky Trick Room
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock / Dazzling Gleam
- Trick Room
- Imprison / Helping Hand / Protect
Item: Colbur Berry / Rocky Helmet / Safety Goggles
Ability: Armor Tail
Nature: Modest / Quiet
Tera Type: Fairy / Normal
EVs: 180 HP / 68 Def / 76 SpA / 180 SpD

IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe (optional depending on use) (You have to be so careful with this)

[SET]
name: Bulky Trick Room
move 1: Hyper Voice
move 2: Psyshock / Dazzling Gleam
move 3: Trick Room
move 4: Imprison / Helping Hand / Protect
item: Colbur Berry / Rocky Helmet / Safety Goggles
(I can't say I've even run into Rocky Helmet that often though, surely this isn't the only thing we'd use for Maushold on a TR team (think Scarf Annihilape, Hariyama, Rocky Helmet Amoonguss). Think Goggles > Sitrus > Colbur would be my preferred order)
ability: Armor Tail
nature: Quiet / Modest
tera type: Fairy / Normal

evs: 180 HP / 68 Def / 76 SpA / 180 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hyper Voice and Psyshock are there for STAB, Hyper Voice being especially good for that chip damage to soften up opponents for its allies. Dazzling Gleam is for coverage against the Dark-types that Farigiraf can often struggle against. Trick Room is there because it's a Trick Room setter/preventer. (Dislike a lot of this. Condensing a lot of points altogether. Separate this out into a couple points, don't mention Trick Room, we've done that enough in the overview by saying it's a great bulky Trick Room setter. "Hyper Voice is a decently strong Normal-type STAB move for Farigiraf..." "Psyshock tackles common Psychic-weak Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Gengar, whereas Dazzling Gleam improves its matchup into Farigiraf's common checks like Hydreigon and Meowscarada". Better to isolate per move slot)

* Imprison is mainly used on fast offensive teams to block Trick Room, this will help enable its teammates who don't function well inside of Trick Room. Imprison is used on fast offensive teams that would otherwise struggle against opposing Trick Room teams. Helping Hand pairs well with attackers like Torkoal, Sylveon and Volcarona. Protect is there for the consistency that Protect can bring.

* Shadow Ball, Energy Ball and Thunderbolt are other notable moves, mainly used as coverage for mons that maybe the rest of the team doesn't deal with too well.
(If they weren't really good enough to get a set mention, is there a point?)

* Colbur Berry is for almost guaranteed TR in the face of the Meowscarada and Hydreigon. Rocky Helmet is so that it can counter opposing Maushold. Safety Goggles is so that it can be immune to Spore Amoonguss. (You tend to use this wording of "x is for". It's often better to refer to the Pokemon "Colbur Berry allows Farigiraf to consistently set up Trick Room in the fact of Meowscarada and Hydreigon." would be better wording)

* For notable items, Sitrus/Iapapa Berries are for recovery. Mental Herb prevents Taunt fast Taunt users like Salazzle and Talonflame from interrupting Farigiraf's Trick Room. Life Orb/Throat Spray are to increase it's already good damage output with it's base 110 SpA stat.
Covert Cloak makes it immune to the flinch from Fake Out from Mold Breaker Tinkaton. (Similar point to above with the moves. I think that you should just use Sitrus, Goggles and Colbur as set mentions. I don't mind Life Orb and Throat Spray as asides here though, because they're doing something else.)

* The 180 HP EVs are so that it can live a 252 HP Annihilape Final Gambit if they wanna (always avoid colloquialisms) try and get a quick TR prevention. The 180 SpDef EVs are combined with the HP investment and allow it to live a 252+ Choice Specs Tera-Steel Gholdengo Make It Rain, then the rest was used to hit a stat bump in SpA, and what was left was put in physical bulk. (Think you can definitely word this a lot better "180 HP EVs allows Farigiraf to survive maximum HP Annihilape's Final Gambit. The defensive investment allows it to always survive Gholdengo's Make It Rain." You can even steal my point about living Meowscarada Knock Off if you want, because it does do that and sounds better than saying we just dumped stats)

* Tera-Fairy is more of a defensive Tera-Type, giving it a resistance to all the types that Farigiraf was previously weak too while gaining STAB on Dazzling Gleam. Tera-Normal is good on Farigiraf for added damage on Hyper Voice and to get rid of it's Dark weakness. (Think the points here are perfectly fine, just some grammar stuff)

Hope you found this useful (While we don't include this, it's pretty wholesome)

Defiant Kingambit / Annihilape both benefit from the Snarl that Farigiraf struggles against. (I'm gonna say just mention Kingambit. It's pretty reliably always Kingambit, and it saves on you using the slashes which are a little awkward)

* Choice Band Meowscarada and Hydreigon are the biggest checks to Farigiraf in the current meta, as these two both threaten to OHKO it. [SET COMMENTS]

* Hyper Voice is a decently strong Normal-type STAB move for Farigiraf to spread chip damage that softens up opponents for its allies.

* Psyshock tackles common Psychic-weak Pokémon such as Amoonguss and Gengar, whereas Dazzling Gleam improves its matchup into common checks like Meowscarada and Hydreigon.

* Imprison is used on fast offensive teams that would otherwise struggle against opposing TR Trick Room teams. Helping Hand pairs well with attackers like Torkoal, Sylveon and Volcarona. (Re-reading this, I don't like it. Obviously HH does well with attackers, that's the point. Maybe something like "Helping Hand lets Farigiraf supplement a harder hitting teammate's damage output.")

(Made these unique points)

* Safety Goggles provides immunity to the Spore from opposing Amoonguss, (RC) and Breloom and Toedscruel (Probably just not at enough usage) who would otherwise prevent TR Trick Room from going up with it. Sitrus Berries Berry allow Farigiraf to have increased survivability by providing recovery. Colbur Berry allows Farigiraf to consistently get TR Trick Room up in the face of the Meowscarada and Hydreigon.

* For other notable items, Mental Herb prevents fast Taunt users like Salazzle and Talonflame from interrupting Farigiraf's Trick Room. Life Orb/Throat Spray are to increase it's already good damage output with it's base 110 SpA stat. (Try a wording like "Life Orb and Throat Spray are options to improve Farigiraf's already decent damage output.") Rocky Helmet can also be used for an answer to unsuspecting Maushold.

* 180 EVs in HP allow Farigiraf to survive maximum HP Annihilape Final Gambit, and the SpDef and Def defensive investment allows it to always live Tera-Steel Choice Specs Gholdengo Make It Rain and Sash Meowscarada Knock Off. The rest of the EVs were put in SpA, hitting a stat bump from the Nature. (You probably don't need to mention this)

* Tera Fairy is more of a defensive Tera Type, giving it a resistance to all the types that Farigiraf was previously weak to while gaining STAB on Dazzling Gleam. Tera Normal is good on Farigiraf for added damage on Hyper Voice and to get rid of remove its Dark weakness.

Implement this, then I'll stamp it on the next check most likely
