[OVERVIEW]

Eelektross is the best pivot in the PU metagame and fits into almost any team, having a useful defensive presence and using its wide array of moves in order to be an amazing wallbreaker. These moves consist of both coverage that can hit many Pokemon super effectively and support moves that can cripple Pokemon that don't mind the coverage. Its ability, Levitate, makes Eelektross immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, giving it an easier time switching in and defensively checking Flying-, Ground-, and Steel-types as well as certain special attackers such as Swanna, Mudsdale, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn. However, despite being able to check so many Pokemon, Eelektross is prone to being worn down by Toxic, Leech Seed, and simply switching into attacks too much. Pokemon that run the former two include Mudsdale, Ferroseed, and Tangela, all of which Eelektross attempts to take advantage of. While Eelektross does blanket check many special attackers, physical Pokemon like Stoutland and Aggron give it a lot of trouble. Furthermore, it is very slow, meaning it will often have to take a hit before striking back. Pokemon such as Lanturn have similarly good coverage and resistances while still serving as a slow pivot, giving Eelektross competition. Lanturn also has its own advantages such as a better typing and a higher Speed and Special Defense stat, but it has less of an offensive presence.

Moves
========

Volt Switch serves as a decent STAB move while also making Eelektross a pivot, allowing it to switch out of unfavorable matchups while gaining momentum. Giga Drain serves as coverage for Ground- and certain Water-types such as Mudsdale, Gastrodon, and Lanturn. Flamethrower is the other go-to option for coverage, hitting Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-types such as Alolan Sandslash, Ferroseed, and Abomasnow. Knock Off weakens Pokemon dependent on their items like Eviolite users such as Type: Null. Acid Spray is an alternative option that allows Eelektross to more easily handle Pokemon like Oricorio-E and Gurdurr one-on-one. Drain Punch hits several targets such as Drampa, Aurorus, and Cryogonal while recovering health in the process. Finally, Discharge can be used in the last slot for the chance to paralyze the foe while being a slightly more powerful STAB option.

Set Details
========

Since Eelektross is run as an all-out attacker, it is able to hold Assault Vest to allow it to take hits from special attackers better. A Quiet nature is run alongside Knock Off or Drain Punch so that Eelektross gets the Special Attack boost while not lowering its Attack, as well as having a slower Volt Switch than opposing Eelektross. If not running physical moves, Modest should be run instead.

Usage Tips
========

Eelektross will be using Volt Switch a lot in order to gain momentum. If you fear the opponent might switch into a Pokemon that is immune to or resists Volt Switch such as Golurk or Ferroseed, you can instead go for a coverage move or Knock Off in order to cripple them. Eelektross should be switched in to take special attacks from Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Swanna. However, it should not be your go-to switch-in for stronger special attackers like Abomasnow and Haunter, even if it can beat them one-on-one. This is because Eelektross's longevity is what allows it to switch in against weaker attacks throughout the match. Even when switching into said weaker attacks, stay wary of how easily Eelektross can be worn down. The same can be said about switching into bulky Pokemon like Mudsdale and Ferroseed, as they can further wear down Eelektross with Toxic and Leech Seed. Due to this, Eelektross is better as an early-game check for foes, but it can't always continue this later in the game. While Eelektross can switch in against various special attackers, stay away from physical attackers, as they can easily break through it.

Team Options
========

Eelektross is very easy to fit on teams. Other Pokemon with access to pivot moves such as Primeape, Alolan Persian, and Silvally-Fairy all make for good teammates. This is because they are able to build momentum alongside Eelektross. Additionally, Primeape deals with Type: Null, while Eelektross deals with Mudsdale and Flying-types like Swanna in return. Alolan Persian can restore Eelektross's health with Z-Parting Shot. It also has the perk of being physically bulky, which goes well with Eelektross's special bulk. The same can be said about other physically defensive Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Regirock, and Qwilfish. The latter two also supply entry hazard support for Eelektross, which helps put Pokemon like Victreebel in KO range and pairs well with Volt Switch. On the contrary, while Eelektross is immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, Stealth Rock does its toll, so entry hazard removers like Skuntank and Hitmonchan come in handy. Since Eelektross is a special wallbreaker, physical wallbreakers like Stoutland and Kangaskhan can more easily bypass specially defensive Pokemon like Audino and Calm Mind Drampa. In exchange, Eelektross beats physical wallbreakers like Mudsdale. Stoutland can also take advantage of Toxic and Will-O-Wisp in order to boost the power of its Facade. Pokemon like Victreebel can absorb moves like Toxic and Leech Seed for Eelektross.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Superpower is an alternative to Drain Punch in the last slot, as it hits the same targets harder but without the recovery and lowers stats. Thunderbolt can also be used in the last slot for a stronger STAB move, but the paralysis chance from Discharge is more preferable. A physical set with Substitute + Coil turns Eelektross into a setup sweeper with a surprise factor when facing Pokemon like Mudsdale and Ferroseed, but it often relies on that surprise factor and Eelektross prefers immediate power and coverage. Leftovers can be run instead of Assault Vest for a passive form of recovery, but Eelektross loses a notable amount of bulk in the process. U-turn has no immunities, unlike Volt Switch, meaning Eelektross can gain momentum even against Pokemon like Lanturn. However, this is at the loss of a lot of power when compared to Volt Switch and most of U-turn's targets are already hit by Eelektross's coverage.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Physical Attackers**: Physical Pokemon like Stoutland, Kangaskhan, and Primeape can greatly weaken Eelektross due to its lack of physical bulk. Other physical attackers like Lycanroc and Dodrio can revenge kill a weakened Eelektross, but if it lives, they get KOed instead with little to no chip damage.

**Chip Damage**: Eelektross is prone to being worn down throughout the match due to its lack of reliable recovery, although this is slightly redeemed by Giga Drain. Pokemon it tries to switch in on such as Ludicolo and Swanna can wear it down easily with their attacks. Swanna can also burn Eelektross with Scald, which wears it down even quicker. Eelektross can also be worn down by moves like Toxic and Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Mudsdale, Alolan Dugtrio, Ferroseed, and Tangela. It can also be worn down through indirect means such as Stealth Rock and hail.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Type: Null and Audino can use Eelektross as setup fodder or weaken it with Knock Off or Toxic. However, both have to watch out for its support moves, with Knock Off bothering them both and Acid Spray weakening the latter.

**Drampa**: Bar Drain Punch, Drampa takes little from all of Eelektross's moves. In return, its Choice Specs set can hit decently hard, while its Calm Mind set uses Eelektross as setup fodder. The most Eelektross can do in return is Knock Off.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Eelektross uses it wide array of moves in order to be the best wallbreaker (i wouldn't call it the best wallbreaker; it struggles to actually wall break in some common mu, it's mostly just that its coverage makes it annoying to switch into) in PU. These moves consist both of coverage such as Giga Drain and Flamethrower, and support moves like Knock Off and Acid Spray. Giga Drain also gives Eelektross a form of recovery.
  • Its ability, Levitate, makes Eelektross immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, making it have an easier time switching in.
  • Its movepool also consists of Volt Switch, which allows it to serve as a slow pivot. This is furthered by its good bulk, great ability, and decent typing. (you're repeating points)
  • Thanks to the latter three aspects, it is able to defensively check Flying-, Ground-, and Steel-types, as well as certain special attackers. These Pokemon include Swanna, Mudsdale, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn. It can also hit all of these Pokemon super effectively. (mentioning this isnt needed, and btw eel doesnt rlly defensively check alolan sandslash)
  • However, despite being able to check so many Pokemon, Eelektross is prone to being worn down by Toxic, Leech Seed, and simply from switching into attacks too much. (mention that mons it commonly tries to take advantage of cripple it) Furthermore, it is very slow, meaning it will often have to take a hit before striking back.
  • Pokemon such as Lanturn has similarly good coverage and resistances while still serving as a slow pivot, giving Eelektross competition. Lanturn also has its own advantages such as a higher Speed stat. (and better spdef and typing as well)
  • Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Aggron can give Eelektross trouble due to its lack of investment in Defense and low Speed. (the last bit isnt needed, and mention tht it's susceptible to pursuit from band stout and skunk)

  • Volt Switch serves as a decent STAB move while also making Eelektross a pivot. (which allows it to get out of unfavourable mus w/o having to directly switch out, and also keep the momentum)
  • Giga Drain serves as coverage for Ground- and certain Water-types such as Mudsdale, Gastrodon, and Lanturn.
  • Flamethrower is the other go-to option for coverage, hitting Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-types such as Alolan Sandslash, Ferroseed, and Abomasnow.
  • Knock Off weakens Pokemon dependent on their items like Eviolite and Choice Scarf users, such as Type: Null and Primeape.
  • Acid Spray is an alternative option that allows Eelektross to move easily 1v1 bulky Pokemon like Audino and Musharna. (the main reason to use acid spray is definitely being able to 1v1 pom-pom and sensu, and u dont even 1v1 audino "easily", im p sure it wins the 1v1. it just toxics you and spams wish + tect)
  • Finally, Discharge can be used for the chance to paralyze the foe while being a slightly more powerful STAB option

  • If you predict a fast Pokemon like Kangaskhan or Primeape, Discharge can can be used to fish for Paralysis. (remove this point, neither of them would switch into eelektross, especially ape)
  • Eelektross should be switched in to take special attacks from Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Swanna. However, it should not be your go-to switchin for stronger special attackers like Abomasnow and Choice Specs Jellicent, even if it can beat them 1v1. (it doesnt 1v1 specs jelli though)

  • Similar can be said about sweepers such as Lycanroc and Carracosta, which additionally benefit from Eelektross using Knock Off to remove Choice Scarfs. (well usually people dont tend to use primeape and stuff as their eel switchin, so idk how relevant this point is)
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Drain Punch or Superpower can be run in the last slot to better hit Pokemon like Drampa and Aurorus, although it is inferior to the utility and coverage of the rest of Eelektross's moves.
  • A physical set with Substitute+Coil turns Eelektross into a setup sweeper, but Eelektross prefers the immediate power and coverage. (is there any reason i shouldnt consider using it?)
  • Leftovers can be run instead of Assault Vest for a passive form of recovery. (same thing as above)
  • U-turn has no immunities, unlike Volt Switch, meaning Eelektross can gain momentum even against Pokemon like Lanturn. However, this is at the loss of a lot of power when compared to Volt Switch. (and most of these mons are hit super effectively by eel's coverage moves)

  • A physical set with Substitute+Coil turns Eelektross into a setup sweeper, but Eelektross prefers the immediate power and coverage. also a bit too short on this- it can be a surprising sweeper to catch pokemon like mudsdale and ferroseed off guard, but reliant on surprise factor and matchup to a lesser extent and overall far more niche
  • Leftovers can be run instead of Assault Vest for a passive form of recovery, but loses a notable amount of bulk in the process.

[OVERVIEW]

Eelektross is the most splashable Pokemon in PU and fits into almost any team being the best pivot in the meta and having a useful defensive presence. Eelektross uses its wide array of moves in order to be an amazing wallbreaker in PU (worth combining this with the first sentence since they both encompass why eel is so good). These moves consist both of coverage that can hit many Pokemon super-effectively and support moves that can cripple Pokemon that don't mind the coverage. Its ability, Levitate, makes Eelektross immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, making it have an easier time switching in. It is able to defensively check Flying-, Ground-, and Steel-types, as well as certain special attackers. These Pokemon include Swanna, Mudsdale, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn (again, combine these, it's kinda awkward to read out what it does defensively in three sentences). However, despite being able to check so many Pokemon, Eelektross is prone to being worn down by Toxic, Leech Seed, and simply from switching into attacks too much. Pokemon that run the former two include Mudsdale, Ferroseed, and Tangela, all of which it attempts to take advantage of. Furthermore, it is very slow, meaning it will often have to take a hit before striking back. Pokemon such as Lanturn has similarly good coverage and resistances while still serving as a slow pivot, giving Eelektross competition. Lanturn also has its own advantages such as a better typing and a higher Speed and Special Defnese (Defense) stat (though Eelektross's far better offensive presence still gives it a reason to be picked over Lanturn). Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Aggron can give Eelektross trouble, especially Stoutland's Pursuit (move this over to where you discuss getting worn down as to describe how eel cant blanket check most physical attackers like it can with weaker special attackers).

Volt Switch serves as a decent STAB move while also making Eelektross a pivot, allowing Eelektross to switch out of unfavorable matchups while gaining momentum. Knock Off weakens Pokemon dependent on their items like Eviolite and Choice Scarf users, such as Type: Null and Primeape (would rather volt on -1 ape if it tries clicking cc and honestly knock just aint the right move to click against it one-on-one. make this something like gurdurr/audino/opposing eelektross instead). Acid Spray is an alternative option that allows Eelektross to move easily 1v1 Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Oricorio-G :blobthinking: (swap these out for stuff like Gurdurr or Spiritomb). Drain Punch hits several targets such as Drampa, Aurorus, and Cryogonal while recovering health in the process. Finally, Discharge can be used for the chance to paralyze the foe while being a slightly more powerful STAB option. These are important in going 1v1 against Pokemon like Calm Mind+Roost Oricorio-G, which it can more easily face with the Paralysis and not having to switch out every time it uses its STAB move (I don't think this is the matchup that should be emphasized here, you can still do a ton with volt switch to +1 sensu and just have another teammate pick it off. Just leveling Pokemon down to Eel's speed and being able to spam coverage more easily or support slower wallbreakers on Eel's team is good enough to mention here)

Set Details
========

Since Eelektross is run as an all-out-attacker, it is able to hold the Assault Vest to allow it to take hits from special attackers better. Quiet nature is run alongside Knock Off or Drain Punch so that you get the Special Attack boost while not weakening them (mention the benefit of running a slower volt switch). If not running the physical moves, Modest should be run instead.

Usage Tips
========

Eelektross will be using Volt Switch a lot in order to gain momentum. If you fear a switchin to a Pokemon that is immune to or resists Volt Switch such as Golurk or Ferroseed, you can instead go for a coverage move or Knock Off in order to cripple them. Eelektross should be switched in to take special attacks from Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Swanna. However, it should not be your go-to switchin for stronger special attackers like Abomasnow and Haunter, even if it can beat them 1v1 (why not? mention why its longevity is important). Even when switching into weaker attacks, stay weary of how easily Eelektross can be worn down. The same can be said about switching into bulky Pokemon like Mudsdale and Ferroseed, as they can further wear down Eelektross with Toxic and Leech Seed. Because of this, Eelektross is better as an early-game check for foes but can't always continue this later in the game. While Eelektross can switch in against various special attackers, stay away from physical attackers as they can easily break through it.

Team Options
========

Eelektross is very easy to fit on teams. Other Pokemon with access to pivot moves such as Primeape, Alolan Perisan, and Silvally-Fairy all make for good teammates. This is because they are able to build momentum alongside Eelektross. Additionally. Primeape deals with Type: Null while Eelektross deals with Mudsdale and Fighting-types like Swanna (yes my favorite fighting-type) in return. Alolan Persian also has the perk of being physically bulky, which goes well with Eelektross's special bulk (mention z parting shot!!). The same can be said about other physically defensive Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Regirock, and Qwilfish. The ladder two also supply hazards for Eelektross, which helps put Pokemon like Victreebel in KO range and go well with Volt Switch. On the contrary, while Eelektross is immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, Stealth Rock does its toll, so hazard removers like Skuntank and Hitmonchan come in handy.

(Mostly subjective but try to throw in some mentions of teammates that are immune to/can take advantage of leech seed and toxic which are common means of wearing down eel)

Superpower is an alternative to Drain Punch in the last slot as it hits the same targets harder, but without the recovery and lowers stats.Thunderbolt can also be used in the last slot for a stronger STAB move, but the paralysis chance from Discharge is more preferable. A physical set with Substitute+Coil turns Eelektross into a setup sweeper with a surprise factor when facing Pokemon like Mudsdale and Ferroseed, but often relies on that surprise factor and Eelektross prefers immediate power and coverage. Leftovers can be run instead of Assault Vest for a passive form of recovery, but loses a notable amount of bulk in the process.

===================

**Physical Attackers**: Physical Pokemon like Stoutland, Kangaskhan, and Primeape can greatly weaken Eelektross due to its lack of physical bulk. Other physical attackers like Lycanroc and Dodrio can revenge kill a weakened Eelektross but if it lives they get KOed instead with little to no chip damage.

**Chip Damage**: Eelektross is prone to being worn down throughout the match due to its lack of reliable recovery (something about how giga drain remedies this somewhat). Pokemon it tries to switch in on such as Ludicolo and Swanna can wear it down easily with their attacks. Swanna can also burn Eelektross with Scald, which wears it down even quicker. Similar can be said about residual damaging moves like Toxic and Leech Seed from Pokemon such as Mudsdale, Alolan Dugtrio, Ferroseed, and Tangela. It can also be worn down through indirect means such as Stealth Rock and hail.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Type: Null and Audino can use Eelektross as setup fodder or weaken it with Knock Off or Toxic. However, both have to watch out for its support moves, with Knock Off crippling the former (Audino doesnt like Knock Off either) and Acid Spray weakening the ladder.

**Drampa**: Bar Drain Punch, Drampa takes little from all of Eelektross's moves. In return, its Choice Specs set can hit decently hard while its Calm Mind set uses Eelektross as setup fodder. The most Eelektross can do in return is Knock Off.

[OVERVIEW]

Eelektross is the most splashable Pokemon in PU and (Splashable is not allowed) is the best pivot in the PU metagame that fits into almost any team being the best pivot in the meta, (Be sure to keep this comma) having a useful defensive presence, (RC) and uses using its wide array of moves in order to be an amazing wallbreaker in PU. These moves consist of both of coverage that can hit many Pokemon super-effectively super effectively and support moves that can cripple Pokemon that don't mind the coverage. Its ability, Levitate, makes Eelektross immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, making it have an easier time switching in, (RC) and is able to defensively checking Flying-, Ground-, and Steel-types, (RC) as well as certain special attackers such as Swanna, Mudsdale, Alolan Sandslash, and Lanturn. While Eelektross does blanket check many special attackers, physical Pokemon like Stoutland and Aggron give it a lot of trouble. Furthermore, it is very slow, meaning it will often have to take a hit before striking back. Pokemon such as Lanturn has have similarly good coverage and resistances while still serving as a slow pivot, giving Eelektross competition. Lanturn also has its own advantages such as a better typing and a higher Speed and Special Defense stat, but has less of an offensive presence.

Moves
========

Volt Switch serves as a decent STAB move while also making Eelektross a pivot, allowing Eelektross it to switch out of unfavorable matchups while gaining momentum. Knock Off weakens Pokemon dependent on their items like Eviolite users such as Type:Null Type: Null. Acid Spray is an alternative option that allows Eelektross to move more easily 1v1 handle Pokemon like Oricorio-E and Gurdurr one-on-one. Drain Punch hits several targets such as Drampa, Aurorus, and Cryogonal while recovering health in the process. Finally, Discharge can be used for the chance to paralyze the foe while being a slightly more powerful STAB option.

Set Details
========

Since Eelektross is run as an all-out-attacker, it is able to hold the Assault Vest to allow it to take hits from special attackers better. Quiet nature is run alongside Knock Off or Drain Punch so that you Eelektross gets the Special Attack boost while not weakening them lowering its Attack, as well as the niche of having a slower Volt Switch than opposing Eelektross. If not running the physical moves, Modest should be run instead.

Usage Tips
========

Eelektross will be using Volt Switch a lot in order to gain momentum. If you fear a the opponent might switchin to a Pokemon that is immune to or resists Volt Switch such as Golurk or Ferroseed, you can instead go for a coverage move or Knock Off in order to cripple them. Eelektross should be switched in to take special attacks from Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Swanna. However, it should not be your go-to switch-(AH)in for stronger special attackers like Abomasnow and Haunter, even if it can beat them 1v1 one-on-one. This is because Eelektross's longevity is what allows it to switch in against weaker attacks throughout the match. Even when switching into said weaker attacks, stay weary wary of how easily Eelektross can be worn down. The same can be said about switching into bulky Pokemon like Mudsdale and Ferroseed, as they can further wear down Eelektross with Toxic and Leech Seed. Because of Due to this, Eelektross is better as an early-game check for foes, (AC) but it can't always continue this later in the game. While Eelektross can switch in against various special attackers, stay away from physical attackers, (AC) as they can easily break through it.

Team Options
========

Eelektross is very easy to fit on teams. Other Pokemon with access to pivot moves such as Primeape, Alolan Perisan Persian, and Silvally-Fairy all make for good teammates. This is because they are able to build momentum alongside Eelektross. Additionally. (RP) (AC), Primeape deals with Type: Null, (AC) while Eelektross deals with Mudsdale and Flying-types like Swanna in return. Alolan Persian can restore Eelektross's health with Z-Parting Shot. It also has the perk of being physically bulky, which goes well with Eelektross's special bulk. The same can be said about other physically defensive Pokemon such as Gurdurr, Regirock, and Qwilfish. The ladder latter two also supply hazards entry hazard support for Eelektross, which helps put Pokemon like Victreebel in KO range and go pairs well with Volt Switch.
