ORAS OU Feraligatr Hyper Offense

Hello, Smogon! HellishHeracross here. Welcome to my first RMT. (On Smogon). You may have seen me lurking around PO, and on PS as MegaPikachu13. This is my most successful ORAS OU team. I have not yet had much time to ladder, so I'm only at about 1300 on PS, and 1500 on PO. So anyways, on to the team!

TEAM OVERVIEW

Chuck (Feraligatr) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
- Crunch

This. The almighty alligator this whole team is built around. This monster gets amazing coverage on almost anything. *cough* Keldeo *cough* I love this thing. Feraligatr has always had a place in my heart, since I first picked up my copy of Pokemon Crystal back in the 90's. Anyways, after one DD, this thing can OHKO and outspeed Serperior and Venasaur with Ice Punch. Crunch provides great coverage against ghosts and psychics, such as Lati@s and Gengar. Waterfall is its best move, with 80 base power and the Life Orb boost.
Sheer Force boosts both Ice Punch and Crunch, so with Life Orb and Adamant, this thing sweeps. It can remove threats such as both Zards and Heatran, Serperior and Venasaur (Not Mega). On to the next 'Mon!

gengar.gif

Ditto (Gengar) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

This guy usually goes in right after Gatr. It is my second Fairy resist once Heatran goes down, and takes little used threats such as Celebi and Victini due to its inflated speed stat. Sludge Wave is the best special Ghost move in the game, and with a small chance to poison..... If I predict an Earthquake or Earth Power coming in, this is who I switch into. (You go Levitate!) Focus Blast takes Ttar and Heatran with OHKOs, and Shadow Ball can OHKO the Lati twins if I outspeed. (350 Speed). Taunt helps with Spikes/Rocks and SD/DD if I predict them coming in. That's all that needs to be said about him.

garchomp-mega.gif

Garcharias (Garchomp) @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake

My Mega of choice. People say he sucks ass, but once they see him 6-0 their entire team, well..... Once he mega evolves, he gets Sand Force, which boosts both Iron Head and Earthquake. MegaChomp is way better then normal Chomp. Yes, he gets a bit slower, but who wouldn't when your hands turn into scythes and you grow a shit ton of spikes out of your legs? Anyway, Dragon Claw is my STAB move, which does a ton of damage after a SD. Iron Head is there to piss people off, when they send in Clefable and I outspeed then OHKO it. Earthquake is another even more powerful STAB move that kills Steels, other than Scizor, but I've got Heatran to take care of that. :)

breloom.gif

Stan (Breloom) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Spore
- Rock Tomb

This guy can kill anything that has Sturdy with Bullet Seed, bar Mega Aggron. Mach Punch is good for finishing off weakened Mons and Ambipom, which seems to be making a comeback. Spore annoys the shit out of anything but Grass types. He survives a OHKO from SmogonBird and Zard Y, Spores them, then kills with a Technician boosted Rock Tomb. So amazing. EVs in Speed help him against slower Mons. He can also kill/cripple a Heatran with Focus Sash/Mach Punch as long as its not too bulky. Overall, a pretty damn good Suicide lead.

tyranitar.gif

pebbles (Tyranitar) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

This slot used to be for a typical Poison Heal Gliscor, until some people on PS pointed out that I needed sand for MegaChomp. I am so glad I listened to them. Choice Scarf helps him outspeed a good chunk of the Metagame. He gets great coverage with Crunch, Stone Edge, and Superpower. If I predict a switch, Pursuit trap is amazing. I love Ttar. One of my favorite mons. The EVS in Attack help him kill shit like crazy. Not much else to be said about him.

heatran.gif

Tomatoad (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Magma Storm
- Toxic

My favorite Tran set. He, along with Gengar, can kill any fairy around, except Azumarril, but I've got Breloom for that. Air Balloon is hilarious when they don't see I have it and start spamming Ground moves. Earth Power allows him to kill other Heatrans and Zard X, while Flash Cannon is used to kill Fairies. Toxic annoys people, unless they predict and switch into a Steel. Magma Storm does so much damage, even 2HKOing Lati@s because of the extra bit of damage at the end. This guy is so bulky. He can survive almost anything, except a Close Combat from a Banded Infernape, but I usually switch if I predict that.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to rate my team! Feel free to test it out, I'll post an importable below. You can PM me on PS if I'm online, otherwise, just post down below. Thanks again!

Alright just quickly, you're seriously weak to Keldeo, Azumarill, and Zard-X if it can set up, plus any defensive team with Skarmory completely walls you. You also don't have any hazards or hazard removal, so you're going to suffer in that regard. What I'd suggest is to use the standard LO Latios > Gengar, LO Excadrill > Heatran, Fire Blast > Iron Head on Garchomp, and Smooth Rock Tyranitar with Stealth Rock.

I'll try out Latios, but I really like scarfed Ttar, and I need Heatran for coverage. Are there any other options?

Just switched Gengar for this:

latios.gif

Eon (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Defog

UPDATE:

Gave Ttar Smooth Rock, switched Pursuit for Rocks.

excadrill.gif

Drilly (Excadrill) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

This over Heatran.

Heatran and Tyranitar have pretty similar defensive coverage (Talon, non-EQ Zard-X, Lati@s), with the primary difference being that Heatran checks some Fairies and M-Sableye. Using Excadrill in place of Tyranitar gives you something fast to clean up weakened teams and a replacement check to Fairies. You don't need Heatran for coverage on Fairies, and vs Steel types, you'll have at least one, up to three Fire coverage moves on Tyranitar, Latias and M-Garchomp. To handle M-Sableye is more difficult, assuming you want to keep Feraligatr (otherwise something like Lum Azumarill could help). I'd just suggest running Substitute M-Garchomp and/or a more anti-stall set on Breloom (Swords Dance or the Technician Focus Punch set).

I assumed in my rate that you wanted to keep Garchomp sand plus Feraligatr, but if there are different "set in stone" mons that's fine - just tell us what they are.

EDIT: Ninja'd sorry. How'd you find the changes?

Thanks. The changes seem great, I really appreciate it. Yes, I would like to keep MegaChomp and Gatr, although no one else is "set in stone". I'll change Breloom's set right now.

Hey man, really cool and basic FWG core, but you basically have 0 switch in for the most common threats like Lopu, Keldeo and Weavile just for mentioned some of them, yeah i know the mentality of the team is going HO/Offense but still i think you should have checks for threats. With that being said let me give a couple suggestions without alter the sinergy:
  • First i would definitely change Tyranitar > Hippowdon this give you rocks and a solid check for strong Phys attackers + electric immunity.
  • I'll put Taunt > Toxic on Tran and change the Ev spread a bit too, all the set down below.
  • Another that i think is redundant is having to set up mons, personally i change Mega chomp set with a Mix set this provide walllbreaker immediately and some lure for a late game Feraligatr. You can 2hko most of the switch ins under sand.
  • Speaking of Gatr you definitely need Jolly > Adamant nature, and depend if you change Loom with my next suggestion put Aqua yet > Ice Punch but if you don't keep Ice punch.
  • And last you need a better water resist i suggest Celebi > Loom, not only give you a better keldeo switch in but also can put pressure in the opposing team.

Thanks for the rate man! I have switched Heatran for Excadrill, so I will most likely keep Tyranitar. Ice Punch on Gatr is too good to get rid of, so I'll keep that for coverage. I will follow your advice on Chomp and maybe Celibi, although I have switched Gengar for Latios, so I have Psychic coverage now. Thanks again for your help, and have a great day.

Feraligart is awesome, Consider Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball or Thunderbolt for Gengar. Maybe Focus Punch on Breloom for some more power since with Spore you are guarenteed to hit it. Maybe Low Kick instead of SuperPower and Ice Punch instead of Pursuit or Crunch. Heatran is also good and maybe Stealth Rock instead of Toxic.
