Set Description
=============
Thanks to its incredible mixed bulk, Ferrothorn can handle many top-tier threats such as Primarina, Tapu Fini, and Magnezone. Holding a Chople Berry allows it to beat Fighting-types such as Pheromosa, non-Fire Punch Sawk, and Urshifu-R.

Gyro Ball is typically Ferrothorn's strongest move and helps it deal with Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Tapu Lele and, Diancie. Iron Defense + Body Press allows Ferrothorn to deal with threats such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick and Chansey, increasing both its physical bulk and Body Press's power.

For its final moveslot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Leech Seed lets you beat Assault Vest and Haban Berry Regidrago, Assault Vest Landorus-T, and Iron Defense Registeel. Power Whip allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-types like Tapu Fini and Primarina.

EVs
=============
248 HP and 52 Defense EVs with a Relaxed nature allow Ferrothorn to survive a Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Jolly Choice Band Haxorus; 28 Attack EVs ensure that Ferrothorn OHKOes Haxorus after Iron Barbs damage and the Defense drop. The Special Defense EVs are for Custap Berry and Rocky Helmet Porygon-Z, as well as Gardevoir if Ferrothorn has Leech Seed. 0 Speed IVs is used to maximize the damage of Gyro Ball.

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks a Hyper Beam from Choice Specs Porygon-Z and 2HKOes with Body Press.

Usage Tips
=============
Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Metagross can use Trick to give Ferrothorn a Choice item. To handle this, Ferrothorn should use a damaging move against these Pokemon (removed E accent) turn 1. Against Encore + Disable Alolan Ninetales, Ferrothorn should use Gyro Ball turn one, and it should use either Power Whip or Leech Seed next turn to avoid wasting a turn due to Disable. This guarantees a win against both Encore + Disable and Life Orb variants of Alolan Ninetales. Against Zeraora, Ferrothorn should use Iron Defense on the first turn, which lets it survive the second turn and then KO with Body Press due to Close Combat Defense drops. If you believe your opponent is running a defensive Urshifu-R, use Iron Defense on the first turn to not get KOed by Body Press. However, if you suspect Urshifu-R is offensive, use Power Whip on the first turn instead to OHKO it after Close Combat. Be mindful that some Pokemon may run Fire-type coverage for Ferrothorn's 4x weakness to deal with it, such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Dragapult, and Dracozolt.

Set Description
=============
The combination of Endure + Custap Berry allows Ferrothorn to survive a hit that would KO and move first the next turn. Gyro Ball, which is often Ferrothorn's strongest move, helps beat Pokemon such as Galarian Darmanitan, Togekiss, and Sylveon. Payback helps Ferrothorn beat Pokemon like non-Choice Specs Magnezone, Metagross, and Trick + Choice Scarf Cresselia. Revenge helps the Magnezone matchup and helps Ferrothorn beat Aggron. Leech Seed solidifies the Aromatisse and Regidrago matchups by allowing Ferrothorn to survive longer and set up further Swords Dances.

EVs
=============
240 HP EVs, 52 Defense EVs, and a Relaxed nature allow Ferrothorn to survive Fire Fang from Choice Band Garchomp.

Usage Tips
=============
If a Pokemon's attack will bring Ferrothorn to 25% or less health, it can set up a Swords Dance on the first turn and use its Custap Berry to move first on the next turn. This strategy can be used against Zeraora, Landorus without Protect, and Rillaboom. Against potential Encore users, Ferrothorn should use a damaging move to avoid being locked into Swords Dance or Endure. Against Choice Scarf Togekiss, usually use Endure the first turn to predict their Fire-type coverage and then Gyro Ball on the second turn. However, Togekiss can also use Trick or Encore on the first turn. To avoid this, Ferrothorn can use Gyro Ball on the first turn. Against Alolan Ninetales, Ferrothorn should use Gyro Ball into Power Whip to prevent Disable and Encore from forcing it to use Struggle. Against Aromatisse, Ferrothorn should use Leech Seed on the first turn due to Gyro Ball’s low damage output; due to its HP investment, it can beat Aromatisse even after Aromatisse locks it into Leech Seed or makes it use Struggle. Custap Berry Ferrothorn can beat Choice Band Garchomp by clicking Swords Dance into Gyro Ball, and it beats Regidrago by using Gyro Ball first to avoid being OHKOed by a combination of Dragon Energy and Draco Meteor.

Set Description

Ferrothorn's incredible mixed bulk and unique typing amplifing a typing feelsl like a weird wording, and the typing isn't unique in 1v1 are is further amplified with this set. It runs maximum physical bulk to add to it's its spectacular physical defense to be a physical wall as well as to maximise body press damage. The item Chople Berry allows it to beat a lot of fighting types with that run STAB moves such as Pheromosa, Sawk if they don't run Choice Band(Without fire punch) Fire Punch Sawk is very uncommon these days, less than 6% (it's not even listed in smogon.com/stats/) of usage. You lose to choice band sawk(33% usage), it's more important to adress this issue imo. and Urshifu-Rapid-Strikes.

For it's its final slot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Leech Seed allows Ferrothorn to regain health to retain it's its stability and slowly chip away at foes, this can be utilised in conjunction with Iron Barbs to add to the chip and Iron Defense to take less damage and increase your longevity to the point of killing the opponent. This is specifically useful for beating some Regidrago sets but either way allows it to last longer .Power Whip helps against Primarina and Urshifu-Rapid for two examples of waters. This is typically an amazing secondary STAB move due to Water naturally resisting Steel but being weak to Grass Water-types that resist Gyro Ball such as Urshifu-Rapid-Strike, Swampert and Gastrodon.
It also allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-Fairies like Tapu Fini and Primarina with a super-effective move.

EVs
=============
252 HP and 252 Def adds to it's bulkyness its bulkiness so it can last longer and endure hits while firing off attacks powerful Body Press every once in a while, the 4 Atk allows it's its Gyro Ball to become stronger. Other than maximum defense to add to bulkiness and Body Press Avoid repetitions from the last sentence, Fighting type moves are typically physical and therefore Ferrothorn wants to bulk them. This is due to Focus Blast special Fighting moves Aurasphere and Secret Sword also exist ig being rarely distributed and used.

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks 2 Hyper Beams from Choice Specs Porygon-Z though it doesn't fair too well if they are running Life Orb Nasty Plot or Trick.

Usage Tips
=============
Typically, if you are against a bulky Pokémon which you cannot kill in one hit and it activates your Chople Berry you should set up Iron Defense. This allows you to factor in the same damage they did the same turn as their fighting type move hit Chople and to kill them with a boosted Body Press. Also, don't Leech Seed into Encore users.

Set Description
=============
This set takes a more offensive approach which is the reasoning behind Swords Dance and the varied moves in the last slot. Ferrothorn is allowed to invest into Attack due to it's natural bulk and can pretend to be a speedy mon with priority from Custap when below 25% of its HP. Payback may seem like a waste of a move slot. On the contrary, it beats Cursepult Dragapult with Curse, Magnezone without Iron Defense (Magnezone almost never runs Iron Defense, and it should need it and Body Press to beat your set) and more rarely sometimes Magnezone Metagross and Cresselia. If Magnezone is an issue, Revenge guarantees a win against it as well as Aggron. Power whip beats a few Urshifu-Rapid-Strike sets as well as Water/Ground types such as Gastrodon or Quagsire. Leech seed is for Aromatisse and Regidrago reliability and allows it to last longer and potentially set up further Sword Dances.

EVs
=============
The bulk it does have invested allow it to Fire Fangs from both Band Garchomp and Band Regidrago.

Usage Tips
=============
Due to this being a Custap set with Swords Dance, if a Pokémon's attacks will bring you to 25% or less health without dying killing you,you can set up a Swords Dance on the turns that it attacks and hit back with a Custap priority. This is useful on Pokemon with recovery moves where instead of them stalling you out you can kill them without allowing them to recover. You don't want to Swords Dance in front of an encore Pokémon as they can lock you in, unless you can escape it on the turn it ends with Custap priority. Custap also lets it beat Togekiss easily and not get flinched until it dies. Typically, you want to endure turn one versus scarf as to survive Fire Blast and then Gyro Ball for a KO. This works unless you get burnt by Fire Blast which is uncommon. However, if you OHKO a Pokémon without the potential to disable your move you should always go for it. If you're facing a Aggron and you run Revenge, the best strategy would be to chip them with Gyro Ball to disable Sturdy, and finally to finish them with Revenge without fearing a potential Metal Burst

I'm glad that you mentioned the 4th moveslot in some depth, but the other three need recognition too. add a new paragraph here or extend your first paragraph to describe how iron defense and body press synergize to beat pokemon ferro is good against, like banded zeraora without blaze kick or powerful attackers like rillaboom. I also need to you mention how gyro ball secures matchups against fairy and rock types that ferro exists to check.

For its final slot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Leech seed allows Ferrothorn to regain health to retain its stability and slowly chip away at foes, this can be utilised in conjunction with Iron Barbs to add to the chip and Iron Defense to take less damage and increase your longevity to the point of killing the opponent. This is specifically useful for beating some Regidrago sets, but is also good for recovering health against pokemon like Assault Vest Landorus-Therian and Iron Defense Registeel. (pretty up to you in terms of which mons you want to mention here, but Regidrago is definitely not the only mon we're targeting with leech) Power whip helps against Water-types that resist Gyro Ball such as Urshifu-Rapid-Strike, (this is the urshifu-r beater set, we win without power whip) Swampert and Gastrodon. (c'mon bro, what are gastro and pert doing to a ferrothorn? power whip is for beating taunt fini and prim, as well as being an extra move to help against stuff that'll trick/encore you into something) It also allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-Fairies like taunt Tapu Fini and Primarina with a super-effective move.

EVs
=============
252 HP and 252 Def adds to it's bulkiness so it can last longer and endure hits while firing off Body Press every once in a while, maximizes Ferrothorn's physical bulk to give it the best odds against physical attackers like Urshifu-Rapid-Strike, Zeraora, and Mold Breaker or Choice Scarfed Haxorus. (mons you choose are up to you but we need specific examples for this kind of thing), while the 4 extra EVs are dumped into Attack Atk allows its Gyro Ball to become stronger to strengthen Gyro Ball. Fighting type moves are typically physical and therefore Ferrothorn wants to bulk them. This is due to special Fighting moves such as Aura Sphere and Secret Sword being rarely distributed and used. (last two sentences don't rly make any sense. Anyway, expand on this paragraph some more, although the EVs on chople ferro aren't rly that fancy it's still important to describe why we're using this spread)

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks 2 Hyper Beams from Choice Specs Porygon-Z though it doesn't fair too well if they are running Life Orb Nasty Plot or Trick. and knocks it out with two Body Presses, although Ferrothorn still loses to the Life Orb+Nasty Plot or Trick Conversion variants of the set. (you beat trick unless they're conversion or you get the worst rolls ever against ultra-bulky trick)

Usage Tips
=============
Typically, if you are against a bulky Pokémon which you cannot kill in one hit and it activates your Chople Berry you should set up Iron Defense. This allows you to factor in the same damage they did the same turn as their fighting type move hit Chople Berry and to kill them with a boosted Body Press. Also, don't Leech Seed into Encore users.\
This should realistically all be re-written; the usage tips section of sets should describe how to beat specific pokemon (in this case I'd imagine you'll mention physical attackers with fighting-coverage or stab) and how to fit a pokemon like this on a team. If you need help with this ping me on discord or check out some finished analyses. Iron Defense t1 into Body Press t2 is a pretty standard strategy, but I want to hear about how to predict and play around Trick users, how to beat pokemon that plan to encore disable you by switching moves, etc. Work closely with us if you're not completely sure you understand how to write this.

This set takes a more offensive approach in checking the 1v1 meta, relying on boosting Ferro's physical attack and later getting a free turn with Custap Berry. which is the reasoning behind Swords Dance and the varied moves in the last slot. Ferrothorn is allowed to invest into Attack due to it's natural bulk and can pretend to be a speedy mon with priority from Custap when below 25% of its HP 's natural bulk allows it to invest in more attack than the Chople Berry variant. The combination of Endure and Custap Berry allows Ferrothorn to live hits at 1 HP and move first the next turn to KO its opponent. (mention what pokemon custap berry is good against, like zera, darm-g, sawk, etc. do not say "custap berry is good vs ...", I want you to actually describe why custap berry wins these matchups that it wouldn't otherwise win) Payback may seem like a waste of a move slot. On the contrary, it beats Dragapult with Curse, Magnezone and more rarely Metagross and Cresselia. Payback helps Ferro beat pokemon like Curse Dragapult, Metagross, and Trick Scarf Cresselia. Payback can also act as coverage to beat non-Specs Magnezone. If Magnezone is an issue, revenge guarantees a win against it as well as Aggron. Running Revenge in the last slot solidifies the Magnezone matchup, as well as helping Ferro beat Aggron. Power whip helps against Assault Vest Urshifu-Rapid and solidifies matchups on Tapu Fini, Primarina, and Gastrodon. (nobody cares about quagsire but people do cae about fini. Also, be more specific about which sets you're beating and losing to with each move. Both shifu and magnezone descriptions were very poor in that regard. And once again, you neglected to explain the first move in the set, gyro ball. Surely that one's worth mentioning.)beats a few Urshifu-Rapid-Strike sets as well as Water/Ground types such as Gastrodon or Quagsire. This lends you the win against opponents such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick in which you Iron Defense turn one and allow it to Close Combat you which leads to Ferrothorn getting a kill on the second turn and Life Orb Rillaboom. (you already mentioned the ID Press thing) Gyro ball also secures matchups as a strong Steel type move that takes advantage of Ferrothorn's abysmal speed to frequently reach or come close to the maximum attack power. This helps beat checks Fairy and Rock type Pokémon in which your other moves cannot such as Tapu Lele which uncommonly runs Mystical Fire such as Sylveon, Tapu Lele, and Diancie.

For its final slot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Against potential Encore users, you should aim to attack immediately to prevent being locked into Swords Dance or Endure. Custap Berry also lets it beat Togekiss easily and not get flinched until it dies allows Ferrothorn some counterplay against both Choiced and Maranga. Against scarfed Togekiss when predicting them to Trick you, you should click Gyro Ball Turn 1 to OHKO them. If you predict them to click their fire coverage you should endure turn one to survive Fire Blast or Flamethrower and then Gyro Ball for a KO. Against a predicted Encore set, you should click Gyro Ball to avoid being locked into Endure with Encore. However, if you OHKO a Pokémon without the potential to disable your move you should always go for it. If you're facing a Aggron and you run Revenge, the best strategy would be to chip them with Gyro Ball to disable Sturdy, and finally to finish them with Revenge without fearing a potential Metal Burst. Against Pokémon with Encore Disable sets such as Ninetales-Alola Gardevoir and Aromatisse, you should alternate attacking moves or Leech Seed to avoid being forced to Struggle., if you sense that they will be using Disable you can use Endure which has priority unlike Disable which can make it be Disabled instead (this does not make sense). Due to Gardevoir being killed immediately by Gyro Ball you can Gyro Ball Turn 1 to kill Scarf sets and then Endure Turn 2. This is because they will attempt to Disable your Gyro Ball due to them not knowing which set you're running.

This was improved quite a bit, although I think taking on this analysis alone may have been a little large of a task for your first try. If you can, you should try some AMQC'ing to get a hang of what they look like. Also, you should definitely take a look at the Grammar and Prose standards for analysis writing that we mentioned in 1v1, because I don't want you to get torn up in GP too hard. This is still not QC 1/2 because there's so much that was changed, so ping me when you implement again and I'll take a third look

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
This set takes a more offensive approach in checking the 1v1 meta, relying on boosting Ferro's physical attack and later getting a free turn with Custap Berry. Ferrothorn's natural bulk allows it to invest in more attack than the Chople Berry variant, while the combination of Endure and Custap Berry allows Ferrothorn to live hits at 1 HP and move first the next turn to KO its opponent. Gyro Ball is an excellent STAB for Ferrothorn which allows it to use it's poor speed whilst still going first with the Custap Berry. Gyro Ball helps beat Pokémon such as Darmanitan-Galar, Togekiss and Sylveon. Payback helps Ferro beat pokemon like non-Specs Magnezone, Metagross, and Trick Scarf Cresselia. Running Revenge in the last slot solidifies the Magnezone matchup, as well as helping Ferro beat Aggron. Power whip helps against Assault Vest Urshifu-Rapid and solidifies matchups on Tapu Fini, Primarina, and Gastrodon. Leech seed is to solidify the Aromatisse and Regidrago matchups and allows it to last longer and potentially set up further Sword Dances.

EVs
=============
The bulk it does have invested allow it to live Fire Fangs from both Band Garchomp and Band Regidrago., which it Custap Ferro can beat Band Garchomp by clicking Swords Dance into Gyro Ball, and beats Regidrago by clicking Gyro Ball first to avoid being KOed by a combination of Drago Energy and Draco Meteor. Maximum HP is good for it's mixed bulk versus all attackers and the rest of the EVs are dumped into Attack.

Usage Tips
=============
Due to this being a Custap set with Swords Dance, if a Pokémon's attacks will bring you to 25% or less health without killing you, you can set up a Swords Dance on the turn that it attacks and hit back with a Custap priority. This is useful on Pokemon with recovery moves where instead of them stalling you out you can kill them without allowing them to recover. Examples of where this can be used is against Zeraora, Landorus (Without Protect) and Rillaboom. Against potential Encore users, you should aim to attack immediately to prevent being locked into Swords Dance or Endure. Custap Berry also allows Ferrothorn some counterplay against both Choiced and Maranga Togekiss. (revenge is negative priority so just revenge into gyro is fine)Against Pokémon with Encore Disable sets such as Ninetales-Alola and Aromatisse, you should alternate attacking moves or Leech Seed to avoid being forced to Struggle.

Set Description
=============
Ferrothorn's incredible mixed bulk is further amplified with this set. It runs a mixture of defences to add to be a mixed wall as well as to maximise. (This needs to be reworded to say what Ferrothorn actually does in the metagame with this set, something along the lines of "Thanks to its incredible mixed bulk, Ferrothorn can handle many top-tier threats such as xyz and u can combine it with the line below should just be short and sweet") The item Chople Berry allows it to beat a lot of Fighting-types that run STAB moves such as Pheromosa, non-Choice Band Sawk, non-Choice Band Urshifu-R, and Haxorus.

Body Press and Iron Defense synergise well together due to the fact of Iron Defense + Body Press allows Ferrothorn to deal with physical threats such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick and non-Life Orb Rillaboom. to double its bulk as well as doubling the power of Body Press. Gyro Ball is typically Ferrothorn's strongest STAB move and helps it deal with Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Tapu Lele and Diancie. (Diancie is also a Fairy-type so it doesn't make sense to separate the two typings.)

For its final slot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Leech Seed allows Ferrothorn to regain health and slowly chip away at foes, this is utilised in conjunction with Iron Defense to take less damage and increase your longevity against the likes of Assault Vest and Haban Regidrago sets, but is also good for recovering health against Pokémon like Assault Vest Landorus-Therian and Iron Defense Registeel. Power Whip allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-types like Taunt Tapu Fini and Primarina. (In general, a lot of your sentences can be shortened)

EVs
=============
Plenty of HP investment alongside 180 SpD and 52 Def with a Relaxed nature allows Ferrothorn to survive a Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Jolly Choice Band Haxorus while 28 Atk EVs ensures that Ferrothorn can kill Haxorus after Iron Barbs damage and the Defense drop. The SpD EVs are used for Custap and Rocky Helmet Porygon-Z as well as Gardevoir if you are using Leech Seed. The lack of speed is used to maximise the damage of Gyro Ball.

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks 2 Hyper Beams from Choice Specs Porygon-Z and knocks it out with two Body Presses, although Ferrothorn still loses to the Life Orb+Nasty Plot or Trick Conversion variants of the set.

You can also use a simple spread with maximum HP and Defense investment. (nope)

Usage Tips
=============
Against Trick users such as Pokémon such as Tapu Fini or Metagross, you should click a damaging move against these Pokemon to scout for Trick. Against Encore + Disable Ninetales-Alola you should click Gyro Ball turn one, and then either Power Whip or Leech Seed the following turn to avoid being Disabled. This guarantees a win against both Encore + Disable and Life Orb Variants of Ninetailes-Alola. Against Urshifu-R and Zeraora, make sure to Iron Defense Turn 1 to avoid being knocked out on Turn 2 while boosting your Body Press damage.

Set Description

Thanks to its incredible mixed bulk, Ferrothorn can handle many top-tier threats such as Primarina, Tapu Fini, Tapu Koko and Urshifu-R. (Just a quick note! You don't really have to mention which Pokemon it naturally beats. Just talk about the set here!) The item Chople Berry allows it Ferrothorn to beat a lot of Fighting-types that run STAB moves such as Pheromosa, non-Choice Band Sawk, non-Choice Band Urshifu-R,(AC) (Smogon does use the Oxford comma!) and Haxorus.

Body Press and Iron Defense synergise well together due to the fact of Iron Defense + Body Press allows Ferrothorn to deal with physical threats such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick and non-Life Orb Rillaboom. This lends you (please do not use the word "you" in analyses as the analysis refers to the Pokemon and not the player) it the win against opponents such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick and non-Life Orb Rillaboom. Gyro Ball is typically Ferrothorn's strongest STAB move and helps it deal with Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Tapu Lele,(AC) and Diancie. (Please move Gyro Ball to the beginning of this paragraph, as it is mentioned first in the list of moves.)

For its final slot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip.
Leech Seed allows Ferrothorn to regain health and slowly chip away at foes, this is utilised in conjunction with Iron Defense to take less damage and increase your longevity against the likes of Assault Vest and Haban Regidrago sets, but is also good for recovering health against Pokémon like Assault Vest Landorus-Therian and Iron Defense Registeel beat Assault Vest and Haban Regidrago, Assault Vest Landorus-T, and Iron Defense Registeel. Power Whip allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-types like Taunt Tapu Fini and Primarina.

Plenty of HP investment alongside 180 SpD 248 HP and 52 Defense EVs with a Relaxed nature allows Ferrothorn to survive a Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Jolly Choice Band Haxorus,(AC) while 28 Attack EVs ensures that Ferrothorn can kill OHKOes Haxorus after Iron Barbs damage and the Defense drop. The Special Defense EVs are used for Custap and Rocky Helmet Porygon-Z as well as Gardevoir if you are using Ferrothorn has Leech Seed. The lack of speed is used to maximise maximize (Smogon uses American English, also just as a not QC thing, shouldn't it be running 0 Speed IVs?) the damage of Gyro Ball.

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks 2 Hyper Beams from Choice Specs Porygon-Z and knocks it out with two Body Presses,(RC) 2HKOes with Body Press although Ferrothorn still loses to the Life Orb+Nasty Plot or Trick Conversion variants of the set.

Usage Tips

Though setting up Leech Seed or Iron Defense Turn 1 can be tempting, Pokémon such as Tapu Fini or Metagross will can try to Trick you Ferrothorn with a Choice Scarf. To avoid this, make sure to click Ferrothorn should use a damaging move against these Pokemon to scout for Trick. Against Encore + Disable Ninetales-Alola,(AC) you Ferrothorn should click Gyro Ball turn one,(RC) and then either Power Whip or Leech Seed the following turn to avoid being Disabled wasting a turn due to Disable. This guarantees a win against both Encore + Disable and Life Orb variants of Ninetailes-Alola Ninetales-Alola. Against Urshifu-Rapid-Strike and Zeraora, make sure to Ferrothorn should Iron Defense Turn 1 to avoid being knocked out on Turn 2 while boosting your Body Press damage.

Against Alolan Ninetales, you Ferrothorn should use Gyro Ball into Power Whip to prevent Ferrothorn from struggling using Struggle by being locked into Disable and Encore. Against Aromatisse, you Ferrothorn should use Leech Seed turn one due to Gyro Ball’s low power output;(ASC) and due to its maximum HP, it can beat Aromatisse even while struggling. Custap Ferrothorn can beat Choice Band Garchomp by clicking Swords Dance into Gyro Ball,(RC) and beats Regidrago by clicking Gyro Ball first to avoid being OHKOed by a combination of Dragon Energy and Draco Meteor. Thanks to its incredible mixed bulk, Ferrothorn can handle many top-tier threats such as Primarina, Tapu Fini, (moved comma) and Magnezone. Holding a Chople Berry allows it to beat Fighting-types such as Pheromosa, non-Fire Punch Sawk, and Urshifu-R.

Gyro Ball is typically Ferrothorn's strongest STAB unboosted (like i assume this is true?) move and helps it deal with Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Tapu Lele, (moved comma) and Diancie. Iron Defense + Body Press allows Ferrothorn to deal with threats such as Zeraora without Blaze Kick and Chansey, increasing both its physical bulk and Body Press's power.

For its final moveslot, it can either run Leech Seed or Power Whip. Leech Seed lets you beat beat Assault Vest and Haban Berry Regidrago, Assault Vest Landorus-T, and Iron Defense Registeel. Power Whip allows Ferrothorn to hit Water-types like Tapu Fini and Primarina.

EVs
=============
180 Special Defense, 248 HP and 52 Defense EVs with a Relaxed nature allows allow Ferrothorn to survive a Choice Band-boosted Close Combat from Jolly Choice Band Haxorus, while Haxorus; 28 Attack EVs ensure that Ferrothorn OHKOes Haxorus after Iron Barbs damage and the Defense drop. The Special Defense EVs are for Custap Berry and Rocky Helmet Porygon-Z, (AC) (I assume "if ferrothorn has leech seed" part applies only to gardevoir? should "if ferrothorn has leech seed" apply to both, add another comma after "Gardevoir", and consider explaining whether/why sets without leech seed should still run 180 SpD) as well as Gardevoir if Ferrothorn has Leech Seed. 0 Speed IVs is used to maximize the damage of Gyro Ball. (removed extra linebreak under)

Another EV spread is 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 SpD. This bulks 2 survives two Hyper Beams from Choice Specs Porygon-Z and 2HKOes with Body Press. (if you survive one hyper beam and 2hko p-z, why do you need to worry about surviving the second hyper beam? am i missing something? if it's non-obvious, pls clarify in/near the sentence)

Usage Tips
=============
Pokémon such as Tapu Fini or Metagross can try to Trick Ferrothorn with a Choice item. To avoid this, Pokemon such as Tapu Fini and Metagross can use Trick to give Ferrothorn a Choice item. To handle this, Ferrothorn should use a damaging move against these Pokemon (removed E accent) turn 1. Against Encore + Disable Ninetales-Alola Alolan Ninetales, Ferrothorn should use Gyro Ball turn one, and it should use either Power Whip or Leech Seed on the following next turn to avoid wasting a turn due to Disable. This guarantees a win against both Encore + Disable and Life Orb variants of Ninetales-Alola. Alolan Ninetales. Against Zeraora, Ferrothorn should use Iron Defense on the first turn to avoid being knocked out on the second and can deal enough damage to kill it turn, which lets it survive the second turn and then KO with Body Press due to Close Combat defense Defense drops. If you believe your opponent is running a defensive Urshifu-R, you will want to use Iron Defense on the first turn to not get killed KOed by Body Press. However, if you are against a Urshifu-R and suspect that they are offensive you will want Ferrothorn to suspect Urshifu-R is offensive, use Power Whip on the first turn instead to OHKO them to OHKO it after Close Combat. Despite this, some Pokemon will run Fire-type coverage to deal with Ferrothorn by abusing it's weakness Be mindful that some Pokemon may run Fire-type coverage for Ferrothorn's 4x weakness to deal with it, such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Dragapult, (AC) and Dracozolt.

Set Description

The combination of Endure + Custap Berry allows Ferrothorn to live hits at 1 HP survive a hit that would KO and move first the next turn. Gyro Ball, which is often Ferrothorn's strongest STAB move, helps beat Pokemon (removed E accent) such as Darmanitan-Galar, Galarian Darmanitan, Togekiss, and Sylveon. Payback helps Ferrothorn beat Pokemon (removed E accent) like non-Choice Specs Magnezone, Metagross, and Trick + Choice Scarf Cresselia. Revenge helps the Magnezone matchup and helps Ferrothorn beat Aggron. Leech Seed solidifies the Aromatisse and Regidrago matchups by allowing Ferrothorn to survive longer and set up further Sword Swords Dances.

EVs
=============
240 HP EVs, 52 Defense EVs, and a Relaxed nature allow Ferrothorn to survive Fire Fang from Choice Band Garchomp.

Usage Tips
=============
If a Pokémon's attacks Pokemon's attack will bring you Ferrothorn to 25% or less health, Ferrothorn it can set up a Swords Dance on the first turn and use its (removed apostrophe) Custap Berry to move first on the following the next turn. This strategy can be used against Zeraora, Landorus (Without Protect) and, Landorus without Protect, and Rillaboom. Against potential Encore users, it Ferrothorn should use a damaging move to prevent avoid being locked into Swords Dance or Endure. Against Choice Scarf Togekiss, usually use Endure the first turn to predict their fire Fire-type coverage (if only fire blast is viable, you can just say "...their Fire Blast...") and then click Gyro Ball on the second turn. However, Togekiss can also use Trick or Encore on the first turn. To avoid this, Ferrothorn can use Gyro Ball on the first turn. Against Alolan Ninetales, Ferrothorn should use Gyro Ball into Power Whip to prevent Ferrothorn from using Struggle by being locked into it with Disable and Encore from forcing it to use Struggle. Against Aromatisse, Ferrothorn should use Leech Seed on the first turn due to Gyro Ball’s low power Ball's low damage output; due to its HP investment, it can beat Aromatisse even after Aromatisse locks it into Leech Seed or makes it use Struggle. Custap Berry Ferrothorn can beat Choice Band Garchomp by clicking Swords Dance into Gyro Ball, (AC) and it beats Regidrago by clicking using Gyro Ball first to avoid being OHKOed by a combination of Dragon Energy and Draco Meteor. (removed extra linebreak under)
