ORAS NU Fighting Duo. Rate My Nu Team Please!

Introduction:
Hello everyone! Today i had a team that got me pretty high on the nu suspect ladder. (About 1300) But, as you known hax happens. Gotten down a little bit low due to some haxy battles, but overall still wanted to share this team. I appreciate constructive criticism!

Teambuilding Process:
gallade.gif

I decided to build around Gallade. He is a extremely powerful wall breaker and i always liked him as a poke so wanted to give him a try.

hariyama.gif

Next i added a another powerhouse. Hariyama is a extremley powerful and bulky attacker that i always wanted to try so added him on the team. I also wanted another strong physical attacker.

rhydon.gif

I wanted a defensive Stealth Rock setter and Rhydon fit the picture.

mesprit.gif

All 3 of my pokes were physical attackers, so i added Mesprit for as a Special Wall Breaker.

I wanted a defensive defogger so i added Pelipper in.

YAY THE TEAM IS BORNED!

IN DEPTH:

gallade.gif

Monster (Gallade) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 212 Sp Def / 44 Spe/ 252 HP
Careful Nature
- Safegaurd
- Bulk Up
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch

This was a choice scarfed Gallade but i needed a win con so used the set Montsegur recommended. Safegaurd is so i can avoid burns from Weezing and other things. Bulk up raises Gallade;s attack and defense raising the attack to amazing levels. Drain Punch i a source of recovery. Knock of is so that you don't completely get walled by Ghost types. Once it have some bulk up set up it can potentially sweep.

hariyama.gif

Hairy Styles (Hariyama) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat/Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch

Hariyama is absoluetly scary. It's job is mostly to weaken pokemons so Gallade or Mesprit can finish team off. Assault Vest makes it very bulky becuase of its enormous HP. Thick Fat or Guts can be used depending on how much you hate status. Earthquake is a ground STAB move that can kill Poison Types . Close Combat is a STAB move that an weakne any frail pokemon easily. Knock off is when you predict a Psychic type coming in. Bullet Punch is for prority.

rhydon.gif

Ride On (Rhydon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake

Rhydon job is to get up Stealth Rocks. The Stealth Rocks helps to weakne fire types and also weaken Fletchlinder (if thats a thing anymore.) enormously. Rhydon can also help to soak up physical hits thanks to its eviolite. Roar is so you can make sure nothing sets up on you. Rock Blast is for flying types and Ice Types. Earthquake is your STAB move and is the one your going to use most.

mesprit.gif

Me Spit (Mesprit) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Healing Wish
- U-Turn/ Signal Beam
- Thunderbolt

Mesprit is my special wall breaker. It is also immune to ground types thanks to its levitate ability which is helpful to Kinklang and Rhydon. Healing Wish is a nice move to restore Hariyama or Gallades health if they have been too weakend. U-turn is for Dark Types and Psychic Types. Signal Beam can be used over U-turn if your scared of malamar. Thunderbolt is coverage for steel types that resist both your other attacking moves. Psychic is a STAB move that can damage any defensive wall and also helps with fighting types.

klinklang.gif

Klinklang @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Happiness: 0
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Frustration
- Substitute

Suggested by HJAD. I was very weak to CroAudino (Mega Cm Set.) So i added this thing. Shift gear boost its attack and Gear Grind hits 2 times, so Mega Audino is gonna take some damage. Frustration is another move that can be used if you don't like missing stuff. Subsitute so that you don't get wrekt by burns.
pelipper.gif

Pelipepper (Pelipper) @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Roost
- Defog
- Hurricane

Pelipper is my defensive wall and defogger. I use to have Mantine but it didn't work that well since it lacked roost and its Physical bulk wasn't that good. So Pelipper came in. Although it may be weak to electric and rock, i have pokes that can handle its weakness. Scald is nice for burns. Roost is so you can recover and stay healthy throughout the match. Defog is to get rid of any annoying hazards on your side. Hurricane is so that you can hit grass types hard.

THREATS:
weezing.gif

Weezing can be a pain in the neck if Mesprit is no longer alive. However, if you still have Gallade at a pretty high amount of hp you can use trick to give the choice scarf to Weezing. Then just use scald and pray to god you get a burn.

That's it tho so YAY!

CONCLUSION:

Thank you for reading my RMT! Please leave suggestions to my team to help make it better. Feel free to use this team if you like it! n.n That's about it! Bye!~~

Hey Bro!

Solid team you have here, I really like this extremely bulky core that you have made here, however with a couple of edits, it can be made even better.
Calm Mind Psychics and Mega Audino are a huge threat to this team. Maybe with stuff like Musharna you can get away with tricking them a choice scarf, however, M-Audino especially (crodino set) just sets up on almost everything on your team. Another problem for your team is that you lack a Mon with a settup move. A win-condition is vital to any team since you can just expect your opponent to be weak to be one of these mons, and especially with gallade having a choice scarf set, it may be easier to wall then previously seen before. So, my selected changes will help you become less weak to the afformentioned threats.

Lanturn, at this minute, doesn't do much for your team. You already have a samurott check, fire spam check and electric check in your team already, so it kind of seems redundant.
Something that can help you check the afformentioned CM Psychics, Mega Audino and patch up your [lack of] win-condition is Klinklang. Shift Gear Klinklang > Lanturn Gives you a check to these psychic type mons, and a useful check vs jynx, which is also a problem to your team. Klinklang, thanks to its setup move shift gear beats all CM Psychics bar the rare Heat Wave Xatu, which is taken care of handedly by Rhydon. It also shares much better typing synergy with the rest of your team since its typing doesn't clash with any others, and provides this crucial fairy /psychic resist. The thing that drew me to Klinklang more so than any other mons (mainly sneasel, apart from the fact it can't check m-audino) is that, with Magnetons imminent ban, and all of those Magneton checks fading away, Klinklang is destined to become a major threat in this tier. (Its also why I'm replacing Lanturn, with the test ending). I also don't think you are too weak to Weezing, since it doesn't really come into much for free (bar Rhydon and Yama maybe), its all about keeping Mes healthy when you see Weezing on the other side.

Now for a couple of EV spread adjustments. Changing Pelipper to 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA is crucial as to take minimal damage from rocks on entry. You are missing 4 EVs on Gallade, put them in defense / HP / wherever.
also, I would suggest changing Mesprits spread to 20 HP / 252 SpA / 236 Spe to be slightly more efficient, I would also consider running Colbur Berry > Life Orb so you have a secondary check to Gallade if it gets past Pelipper with stone edge or smth.

Klinklang @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Substitute
- Gear Grind
- Frustration

Cool team, I really like it n_n

Hey man, I have time to give a quick preliminary rate before I head off to work. Right now your team lacks a viable wincon so any defensive team will give you a ton of trouble, i.e. weezing and friends. To fix this, there is a pretty simple change you can do right off the bat which is to make Gallade BU Safeguard and to make Mesprit Choice Scarf. BU Gallade will give you a wincon as well as a strong attacker and Safeguard lets you setup on things like Weezing without having to worry about status. Choice Scarf Mesprit gives you a speedy Healing Wish and something to revenge kill with.

Some things to think about (that I'll try to fix later after work): Your team is incredibly slow right now faster teams can easily steamroll it, its a bit weak to Gallade than I would like as Pelipper doesn't even 2HKO bulkier Gallade variants, and last mon Crodino is a problem (Rhydon can Roar it out otherwise). Lanturn becomes replaceable if Magneton becomes banned and Lanturn / Hariyama are your most replaceable Pokemon. Something to beat Gallade 1v1 / last mon Crodino would be a good switch.
Mesprit @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn
- Healing Wish
Uturn can be switched with trick and tbolt can be switched with other coverage for w/e you wish to beat.

Gallade (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 HP / 212 SpD / 44 Spe
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Safeguard
- Bulk Up
Not exactly sure on an ideal spread in NU yet, seeing as we just got it.

Good luck with the team, I'll think about what to switch into that slot and get back to you.

If you do change Mesprit into a scarf set, you become extremely susceptible to Malamar. It just beats you with Monts set. Try running Signal Beam over tbolt or hwish and play extra careful when it gets a free switch etc.
Alternatively, you could run Megahorn on Rhydon but I don't like this since Megahorn misses at times and also Rhydon takes huge damage in the process (120 BP fighting attack S.E will dent it).
Also, running Megahorn over Roar on Rhydon opens up weakness' to Calm Mind Psychics / M-Audino if Klink gets too low.
