Hey all,
I’ve been using this team for a while now and it’s been pretty successful except for a few glaring weaknesses. I’m new at this, so any and all criticism is appreciated. If my team sucks, don’t sugar-coat things.
And so, without further ado:
My team focuses on keeping the opposition off-balance using Prankster Sableye and a defensive core of Empoleon and Zapdos until I am ready to set up and sweep with Chandelure or Snorlax.
BOO.
Stitch (Sableye) @ Leftovers
Prankster
Careful/248 HP/128 Def/132 SD
Taunt
Will-o-Wisp
Knock Off
Recover
This is generally my lead. He enjoys ice cream, walks in the park, laughing at fast hazard and status leads through priority, and shutting down stallers and set up sweepers. Chansey especially hates this, as I can Taunt to shut out 3 of her 4 usual moves and takes nothing from the last on. From there, he can burn her for damage and knock off her eviolite, making Hitmontop’s job even easier. Stall teams? Meet your worst nightmare.
WHZZZZ...

Fake Out
Mach Punch
Sucker Punch
Close Combat
Hitmontop is my second priority abuser. His main jobs are to take down fast threats and remove the Rock and Steel types who give Snorlax grief. Fake Out is free damage and Mach Punch dents a lot of stuff. Close Combat is for bulkier foes and Sucker Punch will get the drop on Psychics who try and take him out with super effective moves. Without this guy, Scarfed or speedy foes like Weavile who can get through Sableye would tear through me.
RAINING FIRE AND BRIMSTONE UPON YOUR HEAD SINCE 2011.
CandleJack (Chandelure) @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
Modest/252 HP/252 SA/4 Spe
Substitute
Fire Blast
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball
Chandelure is my main special attacker. The strategy is simple: Sub up, choose the right coverage move, rinse and repeat. Energy Ball was picked over HP Fighting because my team desperately needed more coverage and I had Hitmontop for Fighting coverage. Flash fire gives me an extra type to switch in on, so he’s pretty easy to get in.
AHM...AHM JUST GONNA...ZZZZZZZZZZZ...

Stockpile
Belly Drum
Rest
Body Slam
Snorlax! What would I do without you? In my opinion, this move set was a stroke of genius: Get in safely, Stockpile up, Rest if needed (after a few Stocks, she can take most hits), then Belly Drum to get fired up, (Rest if needed again) then Body Slam anything that gets in your way! That last move was originally Return, but I found the paralysis chance really useful and she can still take out all but the sturdiest walls in one shot with +6 Attack, even without investment! Now, Rock, Steel and especially Ghost types can sort of rain on this parade of death, so I’m sure to take them out beforehand. Hitmontop will take care of the first two with STAB Technician Mach Punch and can start on the ghosts with Sucker Punch, while Chandelure finishes them all off with the appropriate attack (Rock gets Energy Ball, Steel gets Fire Blast and Ghost gets Shadow Ball). I also try to find out if the opponent has any phazers, because switching out is the last thing I want with all those boosts.

Part one of my defensive core and my secondary lead, Empoleon can take special hits and set up Rocks for me. He has great defensive synergy with Zapdos and can still give a few hits of his own. I’m actually having trouble with this team member. His typing and support are really important and irreplaceable, but he dies too soon to do all he should. Am I playing him wrong? Should I find someone else? Does he need wish support? Help me out here
KRA-KAWW!!!
Zap (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Pressure
Bold/252 HP/192 Def/64 Spe
Substitute
Roost
Thunderbolt
Heat Wave
Part deux of my defensive core and my physical wall, Zapdos sticks around and gives ‘em hell! SubRoost stalls them out with help from Pressure and Thunderbolt and Heat Wave are a whole pile of hurt for the enemy. He has great synergy with Empoleon and together, they wall almost every hit.
There you have it, now on to the weaknesses I’ve seen:
-Rotom-A can tear me to pieces easily since I have no electric counter.
-Whimsicott can stall me to death easily because it is faster then Sableye and Hitmontop.
-Empoleon has no recovery and so dies very soon, losing me valuable type coverage
Like I said before, any criticism helps. Thanks!
