First One. Don't go easy on me.

This team relies on an offensive formula that stresses the importance of hitting on the switch. Using old and new threats to get the jump on switch ins and preventing them from setting up is what this team is all about.

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Eruption
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

Stopping weather abusers is this guy's job. I like SDef oriented heatran for the purpose of survivung against those pesky water types, especially on rain dance teams. Most of the time it can take a decent water type move and set up SR. HP grass is for the purpose of damaging said water types.
It can't take out politoed(or rotom for that matter, too bulky) straight up, but at least it does alright for gastrodon and some jellicent that think they can get off scot free(that wishcash would've never went 6-0 on me). Stone edge for the other weather setters bar tyranitar(predict that abomasnow wont stay in). Air baloon is pretty much self explanatory(SE) earthquake avoider.

212.png

Scizor (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Superpower
- Swords Dance

Pretty SE. Get a swords dace on something that thinks it can status you, lum berry omnom, and attempt to sweep. It makes tyranitar switch most of the time and I (attempt to) predict accordingly. Loves to bug bite latios, starmie, reinculus, and does alright on a physical attacking jirachi.

562.png

Conkeldurr (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach Punch
- Drain Punch
- Payback
- Facade

This thing is a beast if played right. Priority moves help pokemon with low speed and having a high base attack stat makes it that much better. With drain punch to extend its life span, payback for the psychics on the switch and facade as the main force, this" straight off the site" pokemon is capable of doin' some work. I thought about running focus punch for the surprise factor, but surprises rarely work more than once (well for me anyway).

230.png

Kingdra (F) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Waterfall
- Outrage
- Rest
- Dragon Dance

This set mainly for taking advantage of rain teams. As soon as politoed comes out put it in to shrug off the inevetable hydro pump on heatran and use DD as he switches or if he doesnt keep using it, rest off damage and status. Waterfall flinch anything that doesnt resist. Outspeed latios and dragonite to outrage KO.

385.png

Jirachi @ Lum Berry
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Wish
- Protect

The only thing we have to fear is Jirachi itself! This physically central threat that I call "Libirachi" (oh so sorry if its been used) is specifically made for beating a pokemon that can fill basically any role, itself(or fellow members of its species rather). It shrugs off the paralysis from other jirachi or togetic, paralyzes its leftover eating opponent, and flinch them into submission. It loves paralyzing pokemon on the switch especially toxic and flame orb users such as conkledurr, breeloom, and gliscor(woot!). Does good with other pokemon too(anything not ghost type beware!) because 75% of the time I forego the flinching to paralyze that switch in. It has trouble with earthquake. Ill test it with more defense EVs.
*edit- these EVs let libirachi do its job better.
EVs: 116 HP / 140 Def / 252 Spd

373.png

Salamence (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This one is called Mr. Boombastic because of the surprise factor(dont you play with my nose cause ima hachoo! sneeze). Bring it in on something expecting earthquake and special attack the physical wall switch in(LOVES surprising gliscor, other salamence, dragonite, and landorus btw). Its a great revenge killer as well. Flame thrower is for those steel types that can stop dragon claw. This pokemon is almost as cool as "12 Episodes of Mordecai and Rigby!"

This team has trouble with the following:

Water types that get past the HP grass(HATES to see vaporeon or politoed especially together).

Basically anything that gets set up(but that goes without saying).

Sometimes I find myself in need of a strong special attacker. But that's if theres numerous physical walls and my predictions fail.

Hey there

Definitely two thing I could suggest is to fix heatran's moveset. Get rid of stone edge and put earth power there. Second change eruption to fireblast or flamethrower or lava plume other wise heatran will be dead weight if you mispredict.
Next, If you want a strong special attacker than go with Alakazam over jirachi. An all out attacker would provide what you need against opposing waters and would allow heatran to use hidden power Ice instead of grass.
Finally, I would recommend scarf haxorus over Salamence. His massive attack would allow you to flat out destroy physical walls if adamant while out pacing a healthy portion of the metagame, even more if jolly.

I like the team a lot!

If I may suggest a more unorthodox set, consider the Specsmence

Salamence@Choice Specs
Timid/Intimidate/252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 def
-Hydro Pump
-Fire Blast/ Flamethrower
-Draco Meteor
-Hp ice/whatever you want

A politoed should take a beating from the Draco. You lose some speed, but... The surprise works. Give it a try. :)

Hi there !

I second Ninetale3 for the set of Heatran. Earth Power allows you to threat other Heatrans and continue to threat Ninetales at the same time. Ninetale3 already explain the sense of Fire Blast/Flamethrower. Also, don't forget to change the nature of Heatran for Modest or Timid.

Ninetale3 is also right about the special attacker. All of your pokes are mainly physical (except Heatran). I have a different suggestion : Nasty Plot Celebi over Scizor. You've got already a priority user with Conkeldurr and a physical pokemon which can set up by the form of Kingdra. It'll add also the famous Fire/Water/Grass core in your team. Nasty Plot Celebi helps you against water pokemons which you don't like ;)

Change also your nature/ev spread of Jirachi for the standard Specially Defensive set with Leftovers. Wish heals you by the half of the Wisher max HP, so if you've not evs in HP, then the wish is not optimal.

Then, use the standard scarfmence with moxie. Your set does not exploit the full potential of this amazing ability. You can test also Choice Scarf Haxorus from Ninetale3.

Hope I've helped and please excuse my English.

Hey,
Unlike what people have been saying, keeping a physcial rock attack on Heatran is good for your team. Why? It allows you to beat Volcarona no matter how many boost's it gets and since Volcarona with Rapid Spin support is a major threat to basically every team, I suggest running Rock Slide over Stone Edge. Have to agree on getting rid of Eruption and changing nature though. I notcied you wanted to have another Special attacker. Also noted was your problems with bulky waters. So I suggest changing Jirachi to a Calm Mind Reuniclus. Reuniclus and Conkelldurr work very well together in wearing down the opposing teams defenses and are both well known for their ability to get rid of many walls which trouble your set up sweepers. Not only that they both sponge hits relatively well. Reuniclus easily defeats bulky waters with Magic Guard and can also status sponge.
GL with the team, Reuniclus set below.
Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold (+Def - Atk)
Trait: Magic Guard
EV's: 252HP/ 220Def/ 36SpA
-Calm Mind
-Recover
-Psychic
-Focus Blast

Hey Bajukie. Nice team.

Your team looks weak to entry hazards like Stealth Rock. Salamence, your main revenge-killer, doesn't enjoy losing 25% of its health upon switching in each time. That's why I would recommend a Physically Defensive Forretress instead of Jirachi. Forretress can provide invaluable Rapid Spin support your team would need in order to solve its weakness to entry hazards. It also provides Spikes support, which helps your teammates sweep, by weakening the opposition. Gyro Ball hits Dragon Dancers, while Volt Switch lets you escape Magnezone, while sometimes giving you some momentum. Now, I would switch Salamence's Nature from Naughty to Naive, since this way, Flamethrower won't be weakened. Also, I'd recommend Fire Blast instead of Flamethrower, so you can OHKO Ferrothorn, and it's a more powerful move in general. Now, Kingdra's EV spread should be 144 HP / 160 Atk / 40 SpD / 164 Spe, and its Nature should be Adamant. The EV spread allows Kingdra to tank to Ice Beams or Thunderbolts from Life Orb Starmie, and give it enough bulk in order to set up adequately.

Now, I'd recommend a Bulky Swords Dance Scizor (see set below) instead of your current Scizor. This set gives Scizor more bulk in order to set up, making it a deadly sweeper. With its EV spread, Scizor isn't 2HKO'd by Reuniclus or Virizion's Focus Blast. Swords Dance is the main selling point of the set, considerably boosting its Attacks. Bullet Punch is a great priority move that is boosted by Technician, and hits really hard once you grab a few boosts. Bug Bite lets you deal with Pokemon like Reuniclus, while Roost grants recovery. Alongside its great bulk, Roost gives Scizor a chance to gain additional Swords Dance boosts. Finally, you should use a Specially Defensive Heatran. It allows you to tank hits with more ease. Toxic lets you stall out opponents, and Protect lets you scout and rack up the poison damage. Lava Plume is its main STAB, and has a 30% chance of inflicting a burn, which is useful. Cool team, and good luck!

thanks guys. i fixed the heatran and after trying alakazam and reuniclus, i threw in the reinculus(HP fighting over focus blast's inaccuracy). i changed the scizor a bit(invested in SpD) but kept superpower for hitting steel types on the switch(apparently there's this pokemon called magnezone*joke*). until i get high enough in the rankings where the surprise factor of salamence w/ HP ice and the immunity to earthquake lose their luster i wont be using haxorus(nice pokemon name btw)
