First Proper Team VoltTurn!

Hello guys, I have been lurking around the forums for a while now but decided to speak up to ask for your input in my first proper team!
My win rate with this is normally 50-50 chance (I'm still learning) but im doing alright and winning isn't a priority for me.

VOOOLT-TUURN!!

Well, First off I apologize for the lack of pictures in my first RMT but im having difficulties putting pictures up (i aste them in but they are not appearing)

So first off I started with from what I have found to be the two most common volt-turn poke's (purely anecdotal) which is Scizor and Rotom-W.

The next two pokemon I added was T-Tar and Starmie, T-Tar was to mess up with weather teams and lay down Stealth rocks, as well as doing some nice damage. Starmie was to be my rapid spinner while also filling in to (hopefully) get some kills.

So with four down, my creativity ran thin (This is my first attempt at a proper team) so I went with Gengar and Latios. My gengar I like to think is unique because it carries Perish song and Destiny bond, the former to annoy set up sweepers and the latter to take down sweepers I cant take down my self. Latios is my go-to for walling pokes with recover as his staple diet and a few attacks to bat.

And now for the individual examintations!

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 176 Def / 252 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Crunch
This guy can most of the time intimidate a free stealth-rock and then go for a switch to Rotom or Scizor (which ever is safer) to start the Volt-Turn action! if it is a weather team I am up against he is a vital member of my team. I am not a master of EV spreads but I like to think this lets my T-Tar stay alive longer.

Rotom (Rotom-W) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 88 Def / 252 SAtk / 72 SDef / 96 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Hydro Pump
- Toxic
Again my EV choices may not be best (thinking of putting more into speed) but he is normally the one to start the cycle. Choice scarf for the speed and since he switches out anyway he isn't normally locked into anything (unless of course he uses another attack) Scarf was the only way I can think of to make him faster. Hidden power for pesky Scizors, Ferrothorns, Forrtress etc..

Scizor (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Night Slash
This guy is an absolute beast! U-turns pack-a-punch and the other moves surprise the enemy (esp, Night slash & Superpower) into free kills. Not much more to say

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Illuminate
EVs: 156 HP / 100 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
This guy used to be a Donphan but was switched due the glaring lack of coverage against dragons! (ice beam ftw) He still performs the same role of rapid spinner but is a lot more deadly and has won me few games before. Recover and the HP EV's is to help his bulk because if my rapid spinner goes down Volt-Turning becomes pretty hard.

Latios (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 188 Def / 68 SDef / 252 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Toxic
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Recover
he is my go-to wall of awesomeness! he takes hits like a boss and can do some damage at the same time, toxic and recover for poison stalling fun! Hidden power for heatran and some other threats.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Perish Song
Last but not least, gengar! he is pretty special (and often is one of the first to die and the only one i willingly sacrifice) Perish song is to force switch sweepers and destiny bond is to bring down tough sweepers (as long as they are not too fast). Sludge bomb and shadow ball for two hard hitting STABs which, like starmie isn't their primary role but can do damage and has saved me the game a few times!

Afterthoughts & Notes

I haven't particularly noticed and gaps in my team but I might just be getting lucky. I think there might be a more effective way of forcing out set-ups (like roar or something) but I don't want to remove any of my poke's unless it is pretty important (Donphan was just not cutting it)

I know my EVs are weird and my items are pretty lame, and they might not work with my movesets, I'd really like to know if any items can do better (choice scarfs can be annoying, locked into something is annoying) Leftovers are the staple item because I simply don't know much about the other items! So any help in that department will be awesome.

Finally, If any poke's do the roles in my team better (but keep me in OU, obviously) please feel free to suggest. I have thought of having Jolteon over Rotom for the increased speed but im not sure if it will work, so any confirmation on that will be great.

Thanks for reading it all (if you actually did) and I hope it wasn't too boring.

Cenzuo.

First off, you need to expand the descriptions or else the mods will probably lock the thread. Sprites would also be nice as they make the thread more appealing for the raters.

Some really odd things you have on your team. Your TTar is missing a bunch of EVs and rock+ice coverage is sort of redundant together. I would suggest Superpower or Fire Blast over one of them. If you want an Ice move, run Ice Beam to hit Gliscor harder.

Rotom has some incredibly wierd EVs. Run enough speed to at least outspeed +1 Dragonite (run HP Ice), Gyarados etc. Still with scarfed Rotom-W you can't revenge +1 Volcarona, Mence and Haxorus which sucks. Also replace that Toxic with either Trick for stall teams or Thunder to help against Rain and sub DD Gyarados.

Starmie wants Natural Cure and max SpA, your current Starmie is very weak offensively.

I don't know what are you trying to achieve with Latios, cus that is definetly not the way to use one. Specs with max SpA and Timid is probably best for sand teams as it doesn't take as much recoil as the LO variant and is extremly powerful.

Gengar should be Timid and should abuse sub. Destiny Bond is a nice gimmick that works well from my experience so I would keep that. You can run Focus Blast for coverage.

Your ev spreads for most of your pokemon are messed up. Also if you want to wall pokemon I would suggest replacing latios with the more defensive latias with this set:

Latias @leftovers
252hp/252speed
Calm mind
Hidden fire
Dragon pulse
Recover

You said that you wanted to have a wall so this set works great. Calm mind is to get an offensive and defensive boost as the opponent switches out into their steel type of choice and than you can rip them apart with hidden power fire. Recover is for maximum survivability so you can keep her alive. Dragon pulse is self explanatory.

Seems the other problems have been addressed in the previous comments. My only suggetion for your team would be Pursuit>Nightslash on Scizor. With a scarfed Scizor's powerful Pursuit at your disposal, your Scizor becomes an efficient trapper for threats like Alakazam, Latios & Latias who either try and switch out or threaten it with an HP(Fire). I agree to FocusBlast> SludgeBomb for a few reasons:
1)Prevents Gengar from being walled by Steel types like Forrtress who can set up hazards & Voltswitch out.

cont.

2) CB Scizor could easily come in a U-turn out barely touched by Gengar's attacks otherwise.

3) It helps when dealing w/ Bold Eviolite Chansey & somewhat Bold Blissey.
