Of course none of you know this but I do like more offensively based teams. I've never actually made a serious competitive team before but I've always been a fan of teams that use each other so they can set up a quick sweep early in the game. So it makes perfect sense that my first actual team is not a sweeping team, but rather a stall team.

This team rotates around Tyranitar, particularly in early game setting up. My entire team is built to work hand in hand with Tyranitar and each other. My lead Jirachi sets up screens for Tyranitar to better set up, without being interrupted by one of his many weaknesses. My mixed attacker mainly bashes out walls and counters so that Tyranitar has less trouble. My Sub-Seeder is probably my most threatening stall pokemon, he also reenforces Tyranitar with leech seed so he can be healed. My Starmie makes works very well with a lot of pokemon and spins away rocks while also being able to deal good damage, he also gives my team much need support as far as speed goes. Lastly, my Scizor is the most annoying poke ever with straight up bulk and power. He gives my team a free switch as well. I'm quite new to the metagame, but that doesn't mean I don't exactly know what I'm doing. Any and all tips are greatly appreciated. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't read in depth to my team. As a matter of fact I wouldn't doubt it if your not reading this part of the RMT.

In Depth:
Dual Screens Lead:
385-frame1.png

Jirachi @ Light Clay
Serene Grace
Careful (+SpD -SpA)
252 Hp / 156 SpD / 100 Def
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Wish

It was pretty much Known from the start that if I was going to base my team around TyraniBoah, then I would need wish support so he can set up more than four subs. I also knew that Tyranitar was susceptible to a lot of weaknesses, so having Dual Screens was practically a must if this was going to work. And with Jirachi I got all that I could ever wish for. His typing works with pokemon on my team and his stats give him great bulk to go along with his moveset.

As far as his Ev's go max Hp is a given to make the most out of a bulky set. He has more SpD Ev's because he needs to be able to live fire attacks from Heatran. The rest are put into Def to finish off the set. It is a pretty standard set but I find it extremely effective. As a lead he mostly fears taunt, however, Salamence does not. Salamence supports Jirachi very well. Much like the CeleTran combo. So whenever Jirachi gets taunted. I can just go into Salamence to most likely take them out.

TyraniBoah:
248-frame1.png

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sandstream
Quiet (+SpA -Sp)
252 Hp / 176 SpA / 60 Atk / 20 Sp
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Thunderbolt
- Crunch

As I said before Tyranitar is the main function of the team. Tyranitar can come in on either Blissey, which is commonly done, or after Jirachi sets up screens. Preferably, I would like to come in after Jirachi sets up screens, mostly to avoid getting hit by a super effective attack. I've never liked TyraniBoah because he only gets 4 subs before he can't really do anything anymore. Well, with Jirachi, I can wish him back up and start all new with the substituting. As for the way it works I think we all know the drill. Come in and set up substitute. Then proceed to do a lot of damage. It pretty much wrecks every wall. Skarmory is taken care of by Thunderbolt, as is most bulky waters. Blissey and Ferrothorn is dominated by Focus Punch. Crunch is stab and has a chance to lower the opponents defense.

Mixed Sweeper:
373-frame1.png

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Intimidate
Naughty (+Atk -SpD)
252 Atk / 252 Sp / 4 Sp
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Dance

Aaahh man, Salamence is a beast. This set in particular is crazy. Ground and Dragon hit practically everything for neutral or super effective damage. With the exception of Skarmory and a few Levitate pokemon. But thats when Fire Blast does its job. It takes out Skarmory easily. The one thing that I added was the Lum Berry. Its used so that it can clear up status like Will o Wisp or T Wave. Pretty standard and predictable, but It works great on this team. His flying type is well welcomed, as it can get Dragon Dances up for itself if Empoleon, Jirachi, or Tyranitar are threatened by Earthquake.

Sub-Seeder:
286_breloom_front_norm.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
Careful (+SpD -SpA)
Def +252 / SpD +252 / Atk +4
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Seed Bomb
- Drain Punch

An unusual set, but not a gimmick. Which is good on a team full of standard sets. This thing is devastating in sand. Substitute is used along with leech seed to sap the life from opposing pokemon. Seed Bomb was put there so that my team had a way of dealing with Unaware Quagsire, or Swampert. Drain Punch is my main for of attack, as it heals me up quite nicely. Its practically impossible to take down when it gains 1/8 health from poison heal, a hefty chunk from Leech Seed, and even more from Drain Punch.

The Ev's are simple. High SpD and Def which makes its subs harder to take down. No Ev's are invested into Hp so that he can gain more from Leech Seed and Drain Punch, and in turn be able to set up more Substitutes. The remainder goes into Attack to make sure I hit a little harder. Its Careful nature practically evens out defenses so that I am not weak to either side. He becomes the MVP of the team. Especially when Jirachi has set up screens, and when Tyranitar has its Sandstorm nullify the opponents leftovers. Even in sand Breloom will be gaining 1/16 from poison heal.

Raid Spin Support:
121_starmie_front_norm.png

Empoleon @ Choice Specs / Leftovers
Natural Cure
Modest (+SpA -Atk)
252 SpA / 252 Hp / 4 Def
- Hydro Pump / Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin

I was in need of a special attacker, the rest of my team was pretty much physically based attackers. I also needed a water type pokemon to have. Mostly so I can have a STAB water move. Starmie works well with Scizor, because Scizor switches in a lot and doesn't really want to take hazard damage. Starmie also works very well with Salamence, because he is weak to stealth rocks and doesn't want to take damage for switching in to revenge kill. Lastly, Starmie works well with Jirachi, as if I need to remove hazards and Starmie is already at a low health, Jirachi can wish switch me in. Not only that but Starmie takes care of a small Nidoking problem, with Starmie's high speed he can hit Nidoking with a super effective Hydro Pump.

As for the Ev's its mostly standard max speed and max special attack. It works great to make up my lack of speed on this team and all in all earned his spot rightfully.

Choice Band Attacker:
212_scizor_front_norm.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Technician
Adamant (+Atk -SpA)
252 Atk / 248 Hp / 8 Spe
- U turn
- Super Power
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit

Choice Banded Scizor is a huge threat to other teams, and he has an advantage when it comes to sandstorm being up. His spot on my team is quite simple. Revenge kill with Bullet Punch and Scout with U turn. Both of these moves are STAB for him and do tons of damage. Super Power is the move that takes care of Heatran and Magnezone, who tend to counter me. And Pursuit takes care of Psychic types who are trying to flee like Starmie and Reuniclus. All in all its a standard and powerful set.

Conclusion:
Obviously this team is going to need some help, right now I'm extremely confident in everything I've got bu,t I wouldn't be surprised if I have to change some things up to keep up with some threats. Again, thanks in advance if you took the time to read through or rate the team. Every rate is appreciated so don't be apprehensive to post something.

Hello there Macbook.
First of all, I see you made a solid team around Tyranitar, though you seem to have some bad weaknesses, namely Fire and Ground. I can see you can struggle when facing Life Orb'ed Nidoking, as it defeats with relative ease most of your team members. That's why I suggest using this pokemon, which can resist almost every attack Nidoking has to offer him:

479O.png

Rotom-H @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) or Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
Ability: Levitate
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spd

- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Hidden Power ( Ice )
- Shadow Ball / Trick

I think with this new incorporation your team will function better.
Hope it helped (:

This is a really cool idea to base a team around boah. The team looks pretty good and I give you props for using a breloom with out focus punch. The problems I see is that your team is somewhat slow and, if scizor is taken out, Mamoswine will sweep you. So be careful if you see a Magnezone / Mamoswine combo. You dont want salamence switching in on rocks to revenge kill all the time, and scizors bullet punch wont OHKO everything. ScarfTran keep the secondary steel typing and bulk that empoleon has, and more speed because of the scarf to revenge kill stuff and generally hit hard with Fire Blast.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast / Flamethower
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Filler

Or, if you want to keep the water typing, you could use a specs starmie. He has the speed to revenge kill and hits a lot of pokes super-effectively.

Starmie @ Choice Specs
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump / Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Hope I was of some assistance. Good luck !

Hey there, a couple things I noticed.
-First thing, I saw if 1 of your opponents pokes has brick break, you'll be in a world of hurt, 2 of your pokes are weak to it, it will break your screens and only 1 resists it.
- 3 steels? seriously? I guess effective in offensive, but 2 of them are weak to fire. If you lose T-tar, then Scarf Heatran fire blast will wreck you. Mence even gets 2HKO sometimes after SR.
-Empoleon. Huge problem. Bad user over Specs, as he is painfully slow and a good CC or Drain punch will pose a huge threat. If you must use him, switch the HP EV's to Speed. I recommend:
Starmie
@ Choice Specs
Natural Cure
Timid
252 SpA /252 Speed / 4 Def
- Hydro Pump / Surf
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot/ Trick
- Psychic
Provides more fire resistance, gets rid of one your many Steels and gives your team a speed boost it needs.

-Minor thing, but I'd recommend Focus Punch on Breloom over Drain Punch. You have sub, so why not make use of it? And also get rid of Leech Seed for Spore. Every good Breloom needs it.

Overall: Speed is your teams Achilles Heel. Mence is your fastest, but At base 100 (?) Speed, it's not TOO impressive. I hope you take my Starmie suggestion, as it will do much better than Empoleon. Hell, maybe even consider Gengar (Disable, MysticGar). Stops spin and brick break from ruining your Screens.

Your current team seems like it would have issues against commonly used sand pokes (Gliscor, Landlos, and Excadrill). Considering ground and rock moves could harm your team I agree with replacing Empoleon with Starmie. This will allow you a check versus Gliscor and Landlos. When it comes to Excadrill, you may be able to get away with replacing DS Jirachi with DS Bronzong:

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
Relaxed/Sassy (+Def, -Spe OR +SDef, -Spe)
252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD AND 0 Spe IVs
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Earthquake/Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball

You would miss out on Wish completely, and could lose Stealth Rock or the coverage (and Excadrill ender) from the third slot depending on what you choose. Of course, you could drop DS and just go Defensive, but use what works best for you.

Extra stuff: Gliscor is another option to deal with Excadrill, but adding another ice-weak mon may not be the best idea. He should just be another mon to keep in mind should you find yourself having trouble against other sand teams.

@ Puking Rainbows - Thank you for making the Nidoking weakness apparent, Nidoking has changed a little and I forget to consider him as a threat. Rotom H does a very good job of walling him, but I don't feel like Rotom H has a very good spot on the team. However, I after your suggestion I had considered replacing Empoleon with Rotom W who would do a similar thing except take it down the Hydro Pump. Unfortunately, that spot was taken by Starmie as a unanimous decision from raters. And actually Starmie doesn't do a bad job of taking Rotom out with a speedy Hydro Pump. :D

@ BigBird - Some others mentioned me having a speed problem on my team which is very true. So I didn't really consider Heatran, however Starmie is a great idea and the set will be changed. Except I'm going to be going with a LO set so that I can Rapid Spin things away as well as do a lot of damage.

@ St Anger - Yes, as mentioned before Starmie is the better pokemon, which will also change my team from 3 steels with 2 fire resistances to 2 steels with 3 fire resistances. Thanks for the set but I'll be going with a Lo Spin set to help out Salamence and Scizor.

@ Jupiter Djinn - The temptation for using Bronzong is still running through my mind. Having all the resistances a steel and psychic type would normally have and being immune to ground moves could benefit me a lot. And I am still considering it. Except I don't know if I can get rid of Jirachi's wish. It sucks because Bronzong has all the better qualities for being a Dual Screen pokemon. But, then again I did get rid of Empoleon and have less of a ground problem..

Thanks everyone for posting.
