Yanmega @ Wide Lens
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: Hp (6), Speed (252), Sp. Attack (252)
Nature: Modest
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Hypnosis
- Protect

The typical Yanmega set, nothing really different here.

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: Speed (252), Sp. Attack (252), Sp. Defence (6)
Nature: Timid
- Hidden Power (Ice) (70)
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

I thought of this set on my own, and I doubt that it isn't common. But whatever. Hidden Power (Ice) smashes Dragons and Skymin. Overheat over Fire Blast because most likely, they'll switch into something that wouldn't get hurt by fire. Shadow Ball over Signal Beam, seems to work beter. TBolt for obvious reasons.

Jiarchi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: Hp (252), Defence (40), Sp. Defence (216)
Nature: Careful
- Body Slam
- Toxic
- U-Turn
- Protect

A great great set, it can be used to wall and wishturn a heal to my attackers, or it has dual status. The EVs we're... figured by me, It'd likely get hit more by Special attacks (at least, I seem to), though it does get hit by fighting.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: Hp (252), Defence (128), Sp. Defence (128)
Nature: Adamant
- Ice Punch
- Pain Split
- Shadow Sneak
- Toxic

Just a random "spur of the moment" pokemon, no real thought to it, but it works.

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: Hp (128), Attack (252), Defence (128)
Nature: Adamant
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

The most amazing pokemon ever. I have been using Mamoswine since the day I started up Shoddy, and it's never let me down. I've been through a gazillion sets, and this has to be one of the best. Thanks to the great gift of platinum, he now has Superpower. Everything else is pretty standard, EVs are set so he can do max damage, and take a hit.

Crobat @ Focus Sash
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: Hp (6), Attack (252), Speed (252)
Nature:
- Haze
- Hypnosis
- Taunt
- U-Turn

This pokemon I also love to death. I ocassionaly switch it to the lead, but most of the time it is a emergancy switch in; to taunt a pokemon setting up or haze away stats. Focus Sash assures the taunt / haze is possible.

This is my first RMT, and I'm a little iffy. I'm willing to take suggestions about anything. Yanmega and Dusknoir are the ones that don't really have a purpose, so if it was possible to think of something better, feel free to suggest.

Yep you got the idea on yanmeg Protect then become fast!
Nice set on rotom that would own a sciz etc (obviously) but you gota be real good at predicting a heatran switch.
Good choice of Dstat a resistant poke with serene body slam and toxic nice!
I know how you feel about dusk trust me! use probably this set:
Will-o-wisp (you already got toxic sorted by jira)
Thunder punch/Ice punch
Pain split
Shadow sneak/Pursuit (preferably shadow sneak for Stab)
For the mammo if you say it works it does but i would (and have seen great succes with it) prefer a 252 hp 252 def curse ice shard Eq and Superpower (good Platnium move) variant but if you say it works it does!
I used to use that Crobat only as lead but i can see now how after the start when alsorts of SD lucarios and SD scizors come through how much of a safety it can be Good Work!

I personally would recommend HP ground over Hypnosis, since Heatran walling Yanmega is very common, and for these reasons, I would recommend Wise Glasses or Expert Belt.

Since a physical wall would be welcome, I see no reason not to use Dusknoir, particularly since it is one of the best in the game, resisting both Fighting and Normal attacks. Try this set out though:
Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Impish
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD

-Will o Wisp
-Fire Punch
-Thunderpunch
-Pain Split

Good luck with your team!

I just gotta say, I HATE platinum for screwing up Hypnosis.

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: Speed (252), Sp. Attack (252), Sp. Defence (6)

Nature: Timid
- Hidden Power (Ice) (70)
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

Not too sure on how to use Rotom, but this set looks pretty good. Bliss will eat this alive though.

Dump more EV's into Def, since Dusk is a "spur of the moment" poke.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers

WoW over Toxic. Trust me.

No real need for Superpower. Maybe Stealth Rock.

Crobat @ Focus Sash

Not a good 'mon for a hazer. It's very fragile, and even if you sash it up, priority moves just demolish it.

All in all, it's a well-thought out team. You might want to consider a physical wall other than Dusk. He's more of a special wall. I would think of either Milotic or Cress because Infernape plows through your team.

Hope this helped!

Superpower is very important on CM Mamo, particularly to OHKO Blissey. and SR on a choice band set... yeah. And to be fair... it isn't phazing, just hazing. There is a differance. And how is Dusknoir more of a Special wall than a physical wall? Review the analysis and you will find that both it's defence and special defence are equal.

Research your posts more next time, shimsham. You did not offer much helpful advice.

Toxic isnt needed especially when u can paralyse with body slam... U can use zen headbutt to flinch...

WoW > Toxic and fire punch is an option over ice punch.

Haze isnt very good anymore and hypnosis too, this is the worst pokemon on this team... No offense , but u could use something better than this.

Nice team overrall. Good job! B-)

sorry olie..
i knew i wasnt good at rating teams..
i just battled Krow on Shoddy and he wanted me to rate it.
so yeah..
sorry Krow!
=[

It's nothing to be worried about, just look at What the experienced users post, and you will have a better understanding of what is expected.

Also, now that I think about it, haze is not really the best option on your Crobat, as Intense Belly Drumming Snorlaxes and the like are not as common as they used to be. I have honestly never faced on in about 2 months, so You may want to replace it with Air Slash, or Aerial Ace for a reliable STAB move.

Though, if you'd like to try a creative set, I'd go with the Mean Look Trap set:

Crobat@ Leftovers
Jolly
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe

Mean Look
Hypnosis
U-Turn
Air Slash/Aerial Ace

The Gist of it is that you Mean Look your opponent, then put them to Sleep and U-Turn to switch out. Then you have (at least) one turn to set up your next plan, which is also why I would recommend, instead of Mamoswine or Jirachi, Either an Azelf, or Gliscor... basically as long as it can benefit from that free turn, it's worth using. So, Replacing Jirachi with a Nasty Plot Azelf is one possible option.

Olie: I'll consider and test the changes suggested to Dusknoir, but the Crobat changes were very nice idea. I perfer having haze on the team because I have Hazed away DDs and SDs sucsessfully, which caused me to win battles. So I'd rather keep it, though the Mean Look idea is really really good.

Shimsham: Thanks for trying, at least. :)

I like the originality of this team! Especially that Jirachi set. I would take Absollover's suggestion on replacing toxic with Zen Headbutt on it. That way, you'd have a really annoying para-flinch strategy going here, something I've only really seen on common Togekiss...trust me, it'll tick off your opponents and help you majorly. :D

I noticed in this team that 4 of your pokemon are weak to a seemingly common threat; Expert Belt Electivire. That sucker hits 13/17 types for supereffective damage, and your Crobat, Mamoswine, Jirachi and Yanmega all fall for it. Stacking U-Turn on Crobat and Jirachi was a good idea to avoid it, but once Dusknoir and Rotom-H are gone, you'd only U-Turn to another Pokemon weak to it. That, and many of the Electivires I've seen come out late game. Maybe giving your Yanmega Baton Pass over Hypnosis would help this out, by giving team members enough speed to outpace Electivire (especially coupled with Mamoswine.)

A special Rotom-H note - it can't learn Fire Blast. At least, according to Serebii.net's pokedex on it. ^^ I'd like that, though.

Overall it's a great team! Hope the tips I suggested help you out somewhat. ^^

I made some changes to my team, some suggested, some not. Changes made will be underlined and italisized like so.

Yenmega moved to HP:G > Hypnosis, because Hpynosis has turned into brutal fail. I also added Life Orb because there was no longer a need to increase accuracy.

I took the ParaFlinch idea and put it to use on Jirachi, since poison didn't work out most of the time anyway. I also switched Shadow Sneak for Thunderpunch and Toxic for WoW on Dusknoir.

I cannot figure out what to do with Crobat though, I'm thinking about scrapping it completely, but I don't know what could Taunt and Haze to prevent teams from setting up, and still do some good. So I just took out the fail that is hypnosis, and threw in roost...

Well, first of all, your Yanmega has the most generic spread possible. This isn't a bad thing, but just a waste of EVs when you can destroy other opposing threats, and take a hit or two as well. This was demonstrated greatly by RaikouLover, who's Yanmega EV spread is recommended on your owns:

Yanmega [Iggybot] @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: Modest
EVs: 104 Def / 152 Spe / 252 SpA
*Bug Buzz
*Hidden Power [Ground]
*Hypnosis
*Protect

This is my rather unique Yanmega set that I theorized would work in tandem with Jirachi. Yanmega makes a fantastic lead with focus sash to begin with, being able to get at least 2 hits on something with its powerful Bug Buzz or incapacitating something with Hypnosis. Yanmega is one of the best scouting pokemon in the game, because of hypnosis and speed boost. Leading with Yanmega immediately lets you know what kind of team your opponent has by what they switch in. Zapdos and Blissey switch-ins usually indicate a bulky stallish team (obviously), and thinks like Gyarados or Salamence switch ins indicate they really have nothing better to switch in because it is highly offensive!

Now, what you first notice about my wierd set is the EV spread. I've been using Yanmega for a while and always found it deceptively bulky with its 86 / 86 base HP and defense. After learning months ago that a 4HP Yanmega could survive a +2 Lucario Extremespeed, I wanted to expand on that bulk and tested this new EV spread. Max attack is always necessary on Yanmega, but speed is something I always thought wasn't as important because of his ability. 152 Speed EVs allows for 264 speed, which allows me to outspeed Aerodactyl and Jolteon after my first speed boost. The second speed boosts makes me faster than everything except Positive natured Base 115s with a Choice Scarf, and any further speed boosts are irrelevant. Because I have protect AND focus sash, the absolute worst case scenario is that I am guarenteed my two speed boosts. Furthermore, the 104 Def EVs give me a nice 234 Defense, which allows me to take less than 80% from a +2 Lucario Extremespeed. While countering Lucario isn't the purpose of the EVs, I noticed over many battles that it can survive things like a CB Meteor Mash or Ice Punch from Metagross. Things like Bronzong's Gyro Ball now are 3HKOs thanks to lower speed and greater defense meaning I can beat him one on one after I switch Yanmega in on the predicted Stealth Rock. Weavile also needs a damage boosting item in order to 2HKO with Ice Shard.

So enough about the EV spread, the moveset is designed to lure out and destroy Heatran and Magnezone, two of Jirachi's decent counters. Yanmega naturally will but a large enough dent in Tyranitar or put it to sleep, and will always sweep right through Garchomp as Bug Buzz is a 2HKO unless he packs a good investment of HP EVs. So after my opponent sees me use Bug Buzz, Protect, and Hypnosis, they immediately assume Air Slash is the last slot and bring Heatran and Magnezone into impending doom. I thought I would miss Air Slash, but this set has been working fine without it. Most of the time, Yanmega is usually dead before they notice I don't have it because he can bluff it so well (who would leave a precious fighting pokemon to be air slashed). As for bulky flying pokemon, I just put them to sleep. Protect is a move that should be used with caution on Yanmega, because people predict it. I almost never use it in the beginning, as its best to save it for the late game after Stealth Rock has ruined the sash. Wow thats a lot of description!

Yanmega is named after Iggybot because he shares my love of the bug!

As you can see he really knows what he is talking about, and being able to survive a +2 LO ExtremeSpeed is no laughing matter seeing as it can KO an onslaught of sweepers on its own, to an extent. Obviously, you won't have to keep the same moveset since yours is already great, but I think Focus Sash should be the primary item option here as it allows you to get 2 boosts and sweep even the Deoxys-S, which is the fastest Pokemon in the game.

Now the other 2 Pokemon are fine, but then we get to Dusknoir. Dusknoir should be running 252 HP, 216 SpD, and 40 Def, with an Impish or Adamant nature as the primary set. It should also be running Shadow Sneak over Ice Punch as the quick KO on Gengar and Azelf (provided residual damage is in play) will help this team greatly.

Mamoswine is good, but should be running 252 HP, 252 Atk, 6 Def for maximum benefits such as survive with 1-2% more of the time. And finally, we go to Crobat. You said you want something can haze, but I can get you something that can phaze and Roar, which is the next best thing. I would suggest using Gyarados (the BulkyDos set in the analysis) with Roar, Taunt, Dragon Dance, Waterfall. This allows you to attack Pokemon, defend from their attacks, and eliminate stat changes.

Okay, after reading your post Sikh, and thinking alot about it I figured that RL was right, and used the EV spread that he suggested. I switched Icy Punch for Shadow Sneak because I was using it for Dragons, but I realised that Rotom-H and Mamo both had effective Ice moves. I did not change a thing on Mamo, just because I know that the current set I use works, so I didn't completely change it but I tweaked it a bit, and I'll test it out some more.. I removed Crobat completely, knowing he wouldn't stick around long in the beginning, and decided to take your idea in Gyarados. I havn't tested anything so I'll propably make small tweaks here and there, and will edit the post when I do.

Btw; I've been playing competivly for about a year, and this is my first time using Gyara. :)

Edit: I also removed my little comment things because they distracted me, so I'm sure they'd distract others as well.
