ORAS OU First RMT

Hello this is my first team and I have very little knowledge about competitive so can someone send me a video that explains pokemon roles and different types of team. Since I have no knowledge I uses smogon for moves and some other things. Next I am versing my brother who is using X so I must follow Kalos rules so things only available in Omega Ruby won't work. Also I can only use 3 legendaries. Finally since it isn't competitive it might have some Ubers


So I first chose Mega Charizard Y as my pokemon to focus on. I then checked its weakness and found rock, electric and water to be an issue. For rock I chose keldeo. For electric I chose Garchomp. And for water I chose Arceus electric. Then I decided to add a dragonite because I like it and Latios because or knows defog which hurts my charizard.


Pokemon 1

Charizard

Item- Charizardite Y

Nature- timid

Ability blaze

Ev- 252 special attack

252 speed

4 hp

Moves fire blast

Solar beam

Focus blast

Roost.

I chose these EV’s so it can out speed most Pokémon and hit hard. Timid to increase special attack. Fire blast is a stab. Solar beam with my effect. Roost to recover HP. Focus blast because of smog on



Pokémon 2

Keldeo

Item- life orb

Nature- timid

Ability- justified

EV- 252 special attack

252 speed

4- HP

Moves- Scald

Hydro pump

Secret sword

Hidden power electric

I chose these EV and ability for the same reason as charizard. Scald and secret sword I believe are good for rock types. Hydro pump as a strong move

Hidden power because of smogon


Pokemon 3

Dragonite

Item- lum berry

Nature adamant

Abilitt- multi scale

Ev- 252 attack

252 speed

4 HP

Moves- earthquake

Outrage

Dragon dance

Extreme speed

Adamant for extra sppeed. Lum berry to use outrage again. Dragon dance to make outrage stronger. Outrage because it is nice. Extreme speed goes first and earthquake is good


Pokemon 4

Garchomp

Item focus sash

Nature jolly

Ability- rock helmet

Ev- 252 speed

252 attack

4 HP

Moves earthquake

Dragon claw

Swords dance

Stealth rock

I chose dragon claw for stab. Swords dance to attack better. Steal rock you know. Earthquake is nice. Jolly for stronger attack


Pokemon 5- Latios

Item life orb

Nature timid

Ability- levitate

Ev- 252 special attack

252 speed

4 HP

Moves draco meteor

Psyshock

Hidden power fire

Defog

I think my explaining is obvious but my post will get removed. Timid to boost special attack. Draco meteor and psyshock for stab. Defog to remove the rock spikes for charizard


Pokémon 6- arceus

Item Zap plate

Ability multi type

Nature timid

Ev- 252 special attack

252 speed

4 HP

Moves- judgement

Will-o-wisp

Toxic

Recover

This one is for the water threats. Timid nature for judgement. Will o wisp to burn. Toxic to poison and recover to troll I guess


Smog on also said to test the team. The first time I won mainly because of dragonite outrage.

Second time I lost because azumarill shredded garchomp and dragonite. Since he knew my team he also added a hippo down and used that rock spike move. I forgot the name. And then my charizard lost a lot of HP and his landorous I think (the blue one) out sped both charizard and keldeo

Arceus is in Ubers so it can't be used in OU. Maybe use Amoongus or Tangrowth if you want help against Water types.

With Mega Charizard Y, you would normally want to pair it wish a Pursuit trapper so it can trap Latias and Chansey which are the main switch ins to Zard Y. I would probably drop Dragonite for this set

I also feel like HP Fire on Latios isn't necessary since you already have Charizard. I would recommend using Roost to give it more longevity

Yeah I think I like roost better and I know arceus is in uber but I'm only versing my brother
