[First] Sunny Day team {UU}

Hi!
Thats my first Sunny Day team, so please rate it. I think, it´s not good, so it has to get better, lol. xD

So... Er... I want to use this team as my new UU team, cause I love playing weatherteams. Since I know TSS- and Rain-Teams, I love playing weatherteams, so I want to try out a sunny day team.

Passive Damage:
3 TSpikes immunities
3 Spikes immunities
5 weaks for SR

Here´s my team at a glance:

Team´s Strategy:

My Team:
The Sunny-Day-Lead
Crobat.png

Crobat @Heat Rock
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Jolly Nature (+Spe / -SpA)
~Brave Bird
~Sunny Day
~Taunt
~Roost

Summary
Great starter, that fits very well in my team. Crobat is always a good starter in weatherteams, but in this team, I think it´s great.^^

Moveset
Brfave Bird does nice damage, Sunny Day is for setting up for my sweepers, and roost makes me come in more often. And now the best move: Taunt! Taunt makes the enemie don´t set up stealth rock, so my five stealth rock weaks are not so bad.

EVs and Nature
A simple 252 / 252 / 4 split...

Team
Like said above, I needed a starter, that is able to make the enemies don´t set up stealth rock, but can set up sunny day, too. So there was just Crobat, and I have to say: I love it!

The Fire-Absorber
Houndoom.png

Houndoom @Life-Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe / -Atk)
~Nasty Plot
~Flamethrower
~Dark Pulse
~Substitute

Summary
Nice Fire-Absorber. After a Flash Fire Nasty Plot, it´s almost unstoppable.

Moveset
Nasty Plot gives me an amazing Special attack. I decided to choose Flamethrower over Fire Blast because of the accuracity, and if Houndoom gets killed, I can say "GG...". Substitute makes me immune to paraylisis and other status-attacks.

EVs and Nature
Again, a simple 252 / 252 / 4 EV split.

Team
In a team with so many grass-types, I must have a Flash Fire pokemon, so I decided to choose Houndoom, and I really have to say: It´s great! After a Flash Fire boosted Nasty Plot, Flamethrower would deal over 50% to Blissey o.O

The Special-Sweeper
Shiftry.png

Shiftry @Life-Orb
Ability: Clorophylle
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 Def
Modest Nature (+SpA / -Atk)
~Sunny Day
~Solarbeam
~Hidden Power {Fire}
~Explosion

Summary
Nice sweeper in the sun. Does good damage to almost every wall and has a nice speed.^^

Moveset
Sunny Day should be clear for everybody... Solarbeam is a great move, because of its 120 Base Power combined with stab. Hidden Power {Fire} is boosted in the sun to 105 Power, and lets me kill other grass-types. And Explosion is used, when I think, I get killed in the next turn, and thanks to the amazing speed in sun, I can almost always boom first.

EVs and Nature
Again and again, a simple 252 / 252 / 4 split...

Team
I needed a good special sweeper, so I took shiftry. And I like it. It does a great job, and can always kill at least one enemie, when I predict good, it can kill even two.^^

The Sleeper and Sweeper-Set-Up
Jumpluff.png

Jumpluff @Heat Rock
Ability: Clorophylle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Jolly Nature (+Spe / -SpA)
~U-Turn
~Sunny Day
~Sleep Powder
~Encore

Summary
Jumpluff is a must have in every Sunny Day team, because of its unbeleavable speed and movepool. This pokemon is my favorite in the whole team, together with typhlosion.^^

Moveset
Sleep Powder to make the enemie switch. Sunny Day should be clear, Encore to lock an enemie in the used move, and then switch into a good Pokemon, doing still damage with U-Turn.

EVs and Nature
Just a simple 252 / 252 / 4 split.

Team
Yeahr, like I said above, Jumpluff is a must have in every sunny day teams, and I love it, so I want to let it stay in the team.

The Physical-Sweeper
Tropius.png

Tropius @Life-Orb
Ability: Clorophylle
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk / -SpA)
~Swords Dance
~Leafblade
~Aerial Ace
~Earthquake

Summary
Tropius is a nice physical sweeper. After a Swords Dance, it reachs amazing 340 HP / 516 Atk / 202 Def / 210 SpD / 402 Spe, so every unprepared team gets sweeped. And, if I play against noobs, sometimes I can swords dance two times. Then my enemie can say "Good game", xD.

Moveset
Swords Dance boosts me to a nice attack stat, Leaf-blade and Aerial Ace are nice stabs, and Earthquake kills fire-pokemon.

EVs and Nature
Just a simple 252 / 252 / 4 split.

Team
I needed a physical sweeper, so there was Tropius. It is great and has killed many teams alone.^^ So, I decided to let Tropius stay in my team.

The Finisher
Typhlosion.png

Typhlosion @Petaya berry
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Modest Nature (+SpA / -Atk)
~Substitute
~Flamethrower
~Hidden Power {Ice}
~Sunny Day

Summary
Nice Pokemon. Can always kill many enemies, when its counters are defeated by the other pokemon in the team.

Moveset
Substitute together with petaya berry gives me a great special attack, and substitute defends me from getting paralysed by some walls. Flamethrower does even to the mighty blissey in sun, boosted from petaya berry and blaze and sun, a 2HKO, and if that´s not amazing, I don´t know what to say xD
Hidden Power {Ice} lets me kill Altaria, but I´m thinking about using Solarbeam over Hidden Power {Ice}...?

EVs and Nature
Again and again, just a simple 252 / 252 / 4 EV-split...

Team
Yeahr, I must say: I love it! It´s an amazing finisher, and can kill many pokemon, if I get the sun and petaya berry boost. This Pokemon HAS to stay xD

So, 3... 2... 1... rate!

4 Sunny Day users seems excessive. As soon as the sun fades Crobat comes out to feed. So my suggestion would be to -Jumpluff, +Regirock. Sunny Day on rock types is great because it messes with the often water switchin.

Come on, Jumpluff's annoyance is half the fun of playing a Sun Team.

On a more serious note, without a Jumpluff, you really are using an inferior Rain Team.

Replace Houndoom or Tropius with Regirock, I think.

I hate Regirock. Do I really have to choose Regirock? o.O
And what about Camerupt? It can support nice and use Stealth Rock.

And I use 4 Sunny-Day Users, because I think, there can´t be enough weatherchangers in a weatherteam...

You should have only 3 or less sunny day-ers, they take too much space of your party that could be used for something else. Also, you have 5 SR weaknesses, one of the most common support move used in all of the metagame. A spinner could come in handy.

Shiftry needs Dark Pulse >> Sunny Day. Good STAB, good coverage. Could also consider Sucker Punch for priority when the sun is down. The main problem here is that you need a bulky SD user. Against a RD team with a lead Electrode that taunts Crobat then sets up rain, you really have no counter against a Gorbyss with Surf/HP Electric/Ice Beam/RD for example. Consider, perhaps, an Electrode lead, or at least some bulky ground type like Camerupt >> Tropius.

Also consider Scarfed Typhlosion with Eruption...it can do huge damage even to special walls in the sun. If not, I'd replace him instead of Tropius.

But I love that kind of Typhlosion :-/
And Tropius, isn´t it bulky enough?
What about Camerupt over Shiftry?

I use tangrowth over tropius on sunny day teams for the following reasons...

1) tangrowth is more bulky and has better typing, pure grass is taking less from ever common ice beams, neutral damage from rock and not very effective from electric and still ground (in comparison to tropius' immunity)

2) tangrowth is still able to have the axact same set with swords dance but with the more powerful power whip over leaf blade. also being more bulky and with access to sleep powder you will often be able to swords dance twice even if your not versing a noob. if you want you could still have a third attack, prefferably rock slide completeing great coverage and flinch-hax taking advantage of your speed.

also in place of shiftry i often use exeggutor for quite simular reasons...

1) exeggutor is more bulky and has a fighting resist over weakness. his stats are all better diregarding speed and attack but you will outrun everything with both under the sun regardless. eggy's base attack is only lower by 5 so their explosions are both "essentially" equally powerful

2) you can run the exact same moveset with eggy using much higher powered attacks regardless of modest or timid nature. he also learns sleep powder but the set you have looks better but you might want to consider it, if not stun spore (if you decide to teach tangrowth sleep powder.)

a spinner is almost necessary I would say for as many pokes you have that are weak to SR. Only half of your team takes spike damage which is nice, but two of them are also SR weak and one has a life orb and BOTH have substitute... Def. consider a spinner. Hitmon is generally the best, but claydol could work as it resist SR also and is immune to both forms of spikes, though a ghost can still block your attempts to rapid spin so hitmon is generally better for the teams that NEED rid of stealth rock and spikes.

Hm. I think, I can make (with crobat), that the enemie can´t use Stealth Rock. And if he gets stealth rock on the field later, he has to fight against a +2/4 Tropius/Houndoom.

@Cream93: I don´t want to lose Tropius, because I love it. Aren´t there any more possibilities for changing other Pokemon? Hm... That´s a real problem, since all of my Pokemon in the team have more than less good reasons for being there xD

I would consider replacing Shiftry with Camerupt for a special attacker plus, having solid rock as well as Lavaplume/earthpwer/stealthrock and perhaps hp electric (against golduck w/cloud nine + icebeam/surf)
