First Team First Post

Hello!! Here is my team, I'd say it's pretty good.

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Lead for my team. As one of the fastest Pokemon I'll always go first and get a Taunt which is really nice. Set up SR and attack away with EQ or Rock Slide until he dies. He'll actually get a KO every few games. Focus Sash has come in handy many times.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Power Whip
- Spikes

My physical wall. Seed/Protect combo works wonders, although I'm still not completely satisfied with the moveset. I had Gyro Ball on it but Power Whip became more appealing because of better type coverage. Spikes are nice and work well with my Heatran that has Roar. But I've been wishing I had Toxic sometimes in battle, what do you guys think?

Heatran @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Toxic
- Protect

My special wall. Moveset is pretty self explanatory, Roar to get rid of stat boosters and inflict entry hazards, Toxic/Protect to stall and Lava Plume just cuz. Also he complements Ferrothorn very well.

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ghost]

Man I love this horse. Once I get a Calm Mind up he's pretty tough to KO and has sweeping potential. HP Ghost for Jellicent and Psychics. He could probably use a different item but I don't what would be good.

Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch

This guy has saved me so many games. Similar to Keldeo once I get a Bulk Up he is damn near unstoppable. Great defenses can take many hits and will recover HP with lefties and Drain Punch. Mach Punch can honestly sweep teams with a +1/+2 atk (and entry hazards). Ice Punch has been very useful for Flying and Dragon types like Dragonite, Thundurus, and Gliscor. My favorite of the team.

Haxorus @ Choice Band
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Superpower

My late game sweeper, Haxorus will pretty much destroy anything with its beastly atk score. I'm pretty satisfied with the moveset although I almost always choose Outrage. Not sure if there are better options out there? He is pretty frail, and still can be outsped by anything max 100+ base speed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a HUGE weakness to Starmie. It's typing and moveset is super effective against my entire team, besides Ferrothorn. Another big weakness is Breloom, any kind. I also have a problem with Substitute users. Sub Gengar is particularly problematic because of how fast and powerful he is. My best counters are Calm Mind Keldeo and Heatran's Roar.
Tell my what you think.

I would say that if you like Haxorus's high Attack, you should maybe try Kyurem-B, which has a base attack of 170, instead of Haxorus's base attack of 147.

Oh I didn't know Kyurem-B wasn't Uber, I'll try him out! Would you recommend a Choice Band or Choice Scarf? I'm leaning more towards Scarf because with his base attack I don't think the Band is even necessary.

What I usually have on any sweeper is a Life Orb, because if someone brings in a type that can wall your moves, you can switch it up. Let's say you have Kyurem-B and you use Outrage or Dragon Claw, then they switch to a Steel Type. Now, I don't know if Kyurem B learns this, but let's just say for the sake of the example, he learns earthquake or fire punch. You can then switch to one of those moves and annihilate him. Well, that's my reasoning, whatever you wanna do :)

Hey, cool team, I really like the use of Haxorus. A few changes can be made though. I see you like to use suicude-lead Aerodactyl, why not try Tailwind instead of Earthquake/Rock Slide? You don't have too many Pokémon to abuse it, but it could work well with Haxorus. Also, if Haxorus doesn't have enough speed for you, you might try a DD Lum Berry Salamence. It doesn't have the same power, but it almost reaches it after +1. You could also run a simple DD Haxorus if you like it too. Scarf Salamence is also a good option.

I would try one of the sets Smogon has for it.
