first team..!

I recently started playing competitively, and so far i'm been doing okay with limited experience in the meta-game. All I really did to get started with was choosing some of the pokemon i've liked, since it is a game, after all; there's no real team strategy but whatever goes on in the game, using whatever knowledge i've grabbed from just playing through the game. This team has been doing pretty decently, so i was wondering if i could somehow mold it into an actual "team" by getting some advices on tweaks and warnings :>.

Dotaku (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/96 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Hypnosis
- Stealth Rock
---
fun lead. start off with a hypnosis and set up rocks. pretty much a standard bronzong. i've been thinking about using trick room, but this pretty much serves as my main phys wall.

Psilocybin (Breloom) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 44 HP/252 Atk/212 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Spore
---
although spore is a great move, i sometimes find it hard to use it after i pull a hypnosis off with bronzong. would it be better to replace it with seed bomb/stone edge or just to use it for late game?

Fetch (Gengar) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
---
My favorite pokemon :3. decided to go to choice specs instead of standard since i don't really need another sleep move, and it's been a lot easier to pull off quick kills. i usually wait 'till mid game so i have some sense of what the opponent is carrying.

Autobot (Donphan) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Roar
---
i abuse his defense a little too much. i tend to switch into this guy a lot to either RS or roar something. Shuffle things around and take some advantage of my SRs. Somewhat used for my fire weakness.

Brongniart (Yanmega) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Protect
---
i have a lot of fun with yanmega. switch in and grab a speed boost, use protect for another, and focus sash for one more. tends to be my main offense, fun sweeper.

LZ 129 Hindenburg (Togekiss) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
- Aura Sphere
---
flinch. serves as my special wall, only because of my lack of one. Just thunder wave/Air slash, roost when needed; status and annoy with hax. takes down quite a lot thanks to it's bulkiness. haven't had any conflict with electrivire, so i don't really know how my team would react to that.

my team is pretty much smog-on built, due to my lack of knowledge/creativity to really customize it, but it's been doing okay so far. Just wondering if there was a way to organize this team (or the majority of this team) into something that would work well together. My main problem is pretty much fire, with 4 of my pokemon weak to it. heatran poses as a real hassle, but donphan does the job somewhat done (if he isn't dead from my abuse of his def...). half of my team is weak to ice, but i haven't run into any real trouble with that. i've been trying to steer away from garchomp, ttar, blissey, and skarmory, so i won't look like 90% of the other players and only 50% ;>.

I don't see how Explosion is going to kill anything on Gar, with no EVs and a -Atk nature. Personally sleeping moves on slow stuff like Bronzon doesn't really work, but maybe it's just me. Otherwise seems fine.

Pretty ice weak i'd have to say. You could probably replace Togekiss or Breloom. Depends on who you like the least.

Looks like any MixApe with Grass Knot can take on a good portion of this team. Fire moves alone take out half of your team, along with a possible Grass Knot against Donphan. SpecStar can also take on a lot of this team. Stealth Rock would absolutely ruin Yanmega's Focus Sash, and would dent Togekiss very badly if Donphan gets Grass Knot'd or Ice Beam'd, more than likely the latter on a non-MixApe team.

I don't have the time now to lay out a moveset, but I'm sure somebody else can. I think a spinning Starmie would help out a lot to somewhat counter MixApe, as well as provide faster rapid spin help. You already have a physical wall in Bronzong, anyway.

Special TTar can rip you apart. Bronzong: Fire Blast
Breloom: Ice Beam, Fire blast
Donphan: Ice Beam
Togekiss: Ice Beam
Yanmega: Ice Beam, Fire Blast
Breloom might stop him though. Still, you can be crippled by a Raikou, a Mamoswine, and/or Infernape. These are quite common, and will really hurt.

i dont reallly see how donphan helps with your fire weak, since he doesnt resist.

also, quite weak to weavile, with the only one who can fight back is bronzong. you could scarf gengar to remedy this problem

hmm, seems like i have quite a few holes in my team. let's say i take out breloom and donphan, what could i replace them with? i'm thinking a tentacruel for a rs and maybe spikes, as well as a counter for a mixape without a thunderpunch? not sure what else would work. many thanks for those who have helped me out so far.
