I've tried this on shoddy and it seems to work okay:
Salamence (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
---
Usually just end using DM knowing that they're switching next turn. Secondary physical wall.
Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Rapid Spin
- Stone Edge
---
Takes SEs which everyone else is or is almost KOed from, and has the priority move this team needs. Earthquake deals with heatran.
Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk/252 SDef/4 Def
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Body Slam
- Pursuit
- Rest
- brick break / earthquake???(heatran insurance)
---
Takes special attacks from starmie and gengar, azelf, etc. 2HKO on gengar if it doesn't switch (survives 2 focus blasts), OHKO if it does; 3HKO starmie if it doesn't switch and survives repeated surfs-though struggles with modest choicespecs ones. Rest is useful for any status. Also my best way to deal with weavile sadly-survives brick break, and OHKOs back with it (also survives Tyran's SE and OHKO's back though it must be pretty much at full health to do this).
Heracross (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
EVs: 104 HP/252 Atk/152 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Night Slash
---
Damage accumulates for even the best of physical walls (except gliscor-which the best I can do is stall out with togekiss as SE does just under 50)
Togekiss (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/6 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
---
Takes out any paralyzed guy plus is a secondary special wall (SE usually ends stops it pretty quick though if it has not recovered)
Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 100 Atk/252 Spd/158 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Explosion
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hypnosis
---
OHKO Blissey with SR and explosion, or thunderbolt+leftovers should put it in range of OHKO (as they'd probably bring in blissey to take the measley 40 net damage for the. If the blisset is bold, then either thunderbolt will bring it down to OHKO range or it has less hp in which it's already in range. any calm blisseys will be OKO.
It's pretty obvious that I try to spread a bunch of paralysis around before sending out togekiss.
Major flaws:
None of them are really that fast, which makes agility/rock polish on or to something immune to thunderwave (such as garchomp) threatening unless snorlax can paralyze him-though he's usually 2HKO with physical attacks.
Gyarados problem, after one DD, he's faster than my whole team and stone edge from donphan is only sometimes 2HKO, while waterwall(assumed already DD once on the switch) usually 2HKOs. I was thinking switching snorlax with either jolteon with HP ice (also for those fast birds) or vaporeon with HP electric (which also covers heatran) and then putting pursuit onto heracross; both offers an immunity as well.
I also seem to have trouble handling stone edge, and the variety of moves in my party seems lacking. Also any aromatherapy blissey could mess me up-I guess I'd try exploding on her if I ever saw one.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
