First Time Making a Team

I've only very recently gotten into competitive battle, and this is my first team. So a lot of advice and critique is helpful and appreciated!

More in depth...

Metagross @ Leftovers
ability: clear body
Ev: 252 Hp, 96 Atk, 160 Sp.D
Nature: adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
Moves:
-Stealth Rock
-Pursuit
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
I'm hoping to make Metagross a sturdy lead that will establish stealth rock, take a hit, and then do some damage with Meteor mash, it's STAB move. Pursuit is also is handy for getting that last hit on a pokemon before it switches out. The main problem I run into using him as my lead is I find a lot of other leads are fire or are able to use fire moves which makes me way too nervous to actually use him as my lead.

Blissey @ Leftovers
ability: Natural cure
Ev: 252 Def, 252 Sp.D, 4 HP
Nature: calm (+Sp.D, -Atk)
Moves:
-Softboiled
-toxic
-Protect
-Flamethrower
My obvious special defense wall. It can stall using softboiled to heal, badly poison my enemy with toxic, and maybe deal out some extra damage with flamethrower. Of course protect is handy to throw up too. It's EVs aren't special, but as I already have a nice physical wall I was thinking maybe I should distribute some of the defense EVs to beef up Blissey's ridiculous HP even more? I thought that might be too excessive, but I am new at this.

Skarmory @ Life orb
ability: Sturdy
Ev: 224 HP, 252 Def, 32 Sp.D
Nature: Impish (+ Def, - SpA)
Moves:
-Whirlwind
-roost
-spikes
-Brave bird
My physical wall, and it can stall pretty well so far. It can throw out spikes, which is a back up if Metagross's stealth rock doesn't work, or it can add to stealth rock. Then using whirlwind I can keep dealing damage. Also the move Brave Bird is nice to take down sweepers like Lucario, or just do some extra damage in general.

Florges @ Leftovers
ability: Flower Veil
Ev: 252 Hp, 252 SpD HP, 4 SpA
Nature: Calm (+SpD, -Atk)
Moves:
-Wish
-Aromatherapy
-Moon Blast
-Petal Blizzard
My cleric, as well as my dragon slayer. Sadly, her ability flower veil will go to waste since I have no grass types on my team as of now. However, she rounds things off nicely. Taking aromatherapy off Blissey's shoulders, as well as helping to heal the team with wish. Moon blast will cover the still popular dragon types, as well as fighting, and dark types. Petal blizzard will help cover water types, like the rapid spinner Starmie. She's pretty solid and I have yet to see her in competitive battle so it's nice to throw my opponent of a little. Plus I love her design.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
ability: Levitate
Ev: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
Moves:
-Trick
-Disable
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
One of my sweepers, although he is a powerhouse he just doesn't seem to flow with my team in battle. So either I need to switch him or make serious adjustments. Shadow Ball is nice for clearing out psychics and its all I have to cover my psychic weakness. Focus blast is a nice killer move. Disable can often mess up an opponents key attack, but I find I rarely can pull it off correctly. Mainly, I feel like this is the pokemon that needs some major adjusting.

Starmie @ Life Orb
ability: Natural Cure
Ev: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 SpD
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
Moves:
-Rapid Spin
-Hydro pump
-Ice Beam
-Psyshock
My rapid spinner for entry hazards, and my other sweeper. It rounds out my fire weakness with Skarmory, and Metagross. It can deal major damage to fighting types like Lucario with it's Psyshock. Its Hydropump and ice beam work to deal as much damage as I can till Starmie faints.

So that's my first team. I've tested it out some on showdown, and its managed to take down two out of 5 teams, even with my mediocre battling skills. However I know it could use some work, so any advice is appreciated!

Hi. You have a fairly solid team, but I noticed that your team has a weakness to Aegislash. Your 2 main sweepers are both frail and are easily KOed with Shadow Sneak. Metagross can wall Aegislash if it isn't using Sacred Sword, but I wouldn't pray too much that it doesn't use sacred sword. I have also noticed that SD Mega Lucario can easily sweep your team with a +2 boost. Most pokemon on your team are KOed either with Close Combat or Bullet Punch. I recommend trying a choice scarf Landorus-T over Gengar to help check both Mega Lucario and Aegislash.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
- U-turn

I see why your isn't Gengar working. Most people ditch Shadow Ball for Sludge Bomb/Wave. It still has STAB, with base power increases by 10. Especially with the fact that you have two Psychic pokemon to take care of Ghost pokemon.

Also you theree pokemon weak to dark types. That's why I suggest running Mega Lucario over Metagross. It becomes your mega, remains a physical attacker, and gets rid of most dark types.

Just a quick view, you have a really big weakness to Talonflame once it gets a SD boost which it can easily obtain on 2/3 of your team. One of the best Talonflame checks is Rotom-W. Rotom-W resists Talonflame's dual-STABs with it's awesome bulk. I'd replace this with Blissey as it's role on the team is redundant with Florges being there.

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick

You could also use Rotom-H and swap Hydro Pump with Overheat. I prefer Rotom-H.

Now Gengar seems to be trying to combine 2 sets into one, SubDisable and Choice Scarf. I'd go with SubDisable now that you have a revenge killer in Rotom-W/H.

Gengar @ Black Sludge
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Substitute
- Disable
- Shadow Ball / Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast

Swap Petal Blizzard with Protect on Florges.

Just quick nitpicks. Good luck.
