First time sun team

Hiya everyone,

I REEDITED THIS BECAUSE KING OF BLADES TOLD ME I DID IT WRONG. IF SOMETHING IS STILL WRONG LET ME KNOW AND ILL EDIT IT AGAIN. ALSO IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THE SPRITES. I TRIED AND EVERYTIME I COPY ONE IT ONLY SHOWS THE URL LINK AND NOT THE PICTURE. (EX. NINETALES URL)

I'm new to pokemon well i havent played since gen 1. Trying to learn all the new pokes and what not.

I had alot of fun with this sun team and my friend told me to post here to get some expert advice on how to make it better. Sorry if I made some beginners mistakes.

Here is my team(very gen 1 biased)

http://www.pokestadium.com/pokemon/sprites/main/5/black-white/animated/front/shiny/38.gif

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 136 HP / 252 SAtk / 120 SDef
Modest Nature
- Sunny Day
- SolarBeam
- Flamethrower
- Roar

Well first off as everyone know, ninetales is used to set up sun. I run a bulkier set on it to extend its life expectancy haha. I also threw on roar but only because will-o-wisp was missing like nine out of ten times a match for me so I became extremely annoyed with it.

Arcanine @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 192 HP / 248 SAtk / 4 SDef / 64 Spd
Modest Nature
- Sunny Day
- Flare Blitz
- Outrage
- Morning Sun

Since I only know pretty much gen 1, I chose Arcanine as my fire sweeper. I like to run sunny day on him as an extra weather setter if ninetales goes down and morning sun helps keep him alive. I put on outrage to maybe help with dragons but I dont really know what to put in that spot.

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Growth
- Giga Drain
- Earthquake
- Sludge Bomb

Venusaur is my chlorophyll sweeper. I like using giga drain alot but just added Earthquake over HP Fire and Sludge Bomb over sleep powder because it misses way to often.

Salamence (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature
IVs: 30 Def / 30 SAtk / 30 SDef / 30 Spd
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

I used salamence because in my short time back playing i really like dragons. Outrage is my primary move. My friend told me he is a really good with scarf tis why i have it on him but I dont know any better so any suggestions would be great.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Thunder

Starmie is my rapid spinner and helps me with rain teams. I didnt run a water move being a sun team and went ahead with psychic instead. Ice beam is used to help with dragons and Thunder is used to try to one hit ko politoed when it comes to bring rain out.

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 44 Def / 200 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Roar

Lastly i used Rhyperior to have some bulk. I didnt know if i'd like to use him but he has performed well. i run superpower on him because if T-tar leads off then i like to try to take him out early, earthquake is my main move. and i put on roar after people were behind a substitute and setting up on him to get them out.

Hello there, and welcome to smogon! I am going to catch this for you before your thread gets locked by a mod. You need to put descriptions for each of your pokemon. For example, tell why you chose each pokemon, how they contribute to the team, why you chose their movesets, their evs, their item, etc. If you don't, a moderator will lock your thread.

Another good way to attract people to rate a team is through sprites. Reading a wall of text is very unappealing. That's why you should put sprites above each of your pokemon's movesets.

Here is the place where I get sprites from.

Get Sprites Here!

Considering the fact you clearly do not know how to make a good rate my team, I will post links to RMTs to show you how we do it here at smogon.

Powerpuff Stall by katakiri
Powerpuff stall has a very unusual presentation, but that's because he thought that each three pokemon worked together so well.

Wild Eyes by Superpowerdude
This is a really good example of a good RMT. It has very detailed descriptions on what each pokemon does for the team, as well as appealing visuals.

Welcome to smogon!

EDIT

Hey, if you want to do the image, first, click the button that looks like a mountain. It is done the same way as a hyperlink. Your problem is you are using the hyperlink button (the little globe) instead of the image button (the mountain.) If you still can't find it, move your mouse over each button, hold it there, and pop-up text should tell you what it does.
