upstairs flat keep putting non-recyclables into the recycling bin.
I think in a thread about changing kitty litter and locking bins this definitely counts as a fun factFun(?) fact, the UK produces ~5 million metric tons of plastic waste a year, of which ~45% is sent for recycling. Some of this is recycled profitably, while some gets incinerated/landfilled anyway because it's low value plastic. About 25% can't be recycled profitably here, so we ship our first world problem abroad. The plastic recycling market doesn't work and has never worked, but it exists to make people believe that plastic consumption is sustainable.
h-heyI need to change the cat litter and take the bins out.
