First XY Team

This is my first team for XY, and it has served me fairly well, however I'm looking for any ways to improve it further, especially since I'm not too great at picking out items.

SANIC HEGEHOG (Deoxys-Speed) @ Mind Plate
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Stealth Rock
- Brick Break
- Protect
Deoxys-S is mainly here for the guaranteed Rocks. After that, it's job is already done, but has Brick Break to stop Dual Screen setups and Psychic to try and at least dent whatever the enemy has out. Protect for scouting.
greninja.gif

Hayabusa (Greninja) @ Dread Plate
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Extrasensory
- Dark Pulse
- Blizzard
- Hydro Pump
Protean is amazing. This set is all about using it to it's full power with a variety of fairly high power moves, and with that on top of Greninja's huge Speed, it can hit a lot of things pretty hard.
lucario.gif

A-n00b-is (Lucario) @ Black Belt
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Circle Throw
- Crunch
Lucario is here for Circle Throw. It can absolutely destroy Baton Pass teams with the forced switch. Bullet Punch and Close Combat are for STAB and Crunch for coverage.
aegislash.gif

Falchion (Aegislash) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- King's Shield
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
This is a pretty generic Aegislash. There really isn't much to say about it for that reason.
azumarill.gif

Pikablu (Azumarill) @ Leftovers
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Aqua Jet
- Belly Drum
Ladies and gentlemen, BellyJet Azumarill. Play Rough, Superpower, and Aqua Jet are all already great moves, but if there's ever an opportunity to get a Belly Drum in Aqua Jet can and will sweep whole teams.
alakazam.gif

Geller (Alakazam) @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
Alakazam is my Mega. Calm Mind boosts Kazam's already massive Special Attack, with Focus Blast and Shadow ball for coverage and Psychic for STAB.

Hmm, I think you could really tweak your items around quite a bit first. The plates aren't really all that good, as they give only a 1.2x boost to one type compared to the utility some other items can give. Greninja attacks with a variety of types, and needs to secure KOs as much as possible, so he should run Life Orb. Deoxys-S is more of a utility Pokemon, and tries to set up as many layers of hazards as possible. This means he should probably run pikes, to give him something else to do if he gets more turns to set up hazards, and since his goal is to lead and stay on the field as long as possible, he should run a Focus Sash. Next is Lucario, who really should have the coveted mega Stone slot on your team, as his Mega is absolutely devastating and Alakazam really doesn't like the loss of Magic Guard. If you don't wish to run Mega Lucario, then I would suggest a Swords Dance set, one with Life Orb. Aegislash shouldn't have Shell Bell, as unless you're dealing over half your health in damage every turn, it won't be as effective as Leftovers. Azumarill's fine, you can run a Sitrus Berry if you want the immediate boost to health more than the Health over time.
If you're using Lucario for phazing, there are definitely some better options, however. Heatran has more bulk, and can use Roar to phaze. Dragonite is another noteworthy option, as he can tank hits with a combination of Multiscale and Roost, paralyze foes with Thunder Wave, and phaze using Dragon Tail.

Replace Protect on Deoxys-S with Taunt so other leads won't be able to set up hazards on your team. The guy above me is right about definitely giving him a focus sash. It guarantees that you'll get up stealth rocks, even if your opponent predicts taunt on your first move and attacks.
Greninja should definitely have a life orb. The residual damage gained from it is worth the extra power to all his moves, not just dark pulse. I would run surf and ice beam over blizzard and hydro pump because of accuracy, but if you feel lucky blizzard and hydro pump both do an extra 10% damage on most opponents.
