i'll get straight to the point, i've been a casual pokemon fan for some time, i started to get into the competitive scene because i don't have anything better to do.
i am a mediocre player, i always chose teams from this forum because i was lazy to do one for myself, until to this day.
i'll be honest, the final product is pretty good i guess, but it lacks some important things. i don't know how to fix them, so that's why i'm here.

the team
Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Substitute
- Drain Punch
- Iron Head
physical sweeper. basically, if he isn't alive, greninja sweeps and vice versa. i just switch into kommo-o when i predict the enemy is going to use a weak attack agaisnt me, then i use substitute predicting his switch and i use clangorous soublaze to boost myself and deal some damage. drain punch for sustain and iron head for hitting fairy types hard. also, a boosted clanging scales can OHKO or 2HKO pokemon that resists iron head and/or drain punch. after the boosts, this thing turns into a monster and almost nothing can stop it. almost. (the counters will be listed below)
Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Gunk Shot
- Dark Pulse
- Hydro Pump
yeah it's ash greninja with gunk shot, ice beam, and without spikes and water shuriken. but i have reasons for that. well, kind of. as i said, i'm a mediocre player. back to the subject, i don't use water shuriken because i see more reasons to use a coverage move instead of another weaker water move. ice beam to kill grass types, zapdos, and landorus if he isn't scarfed. gunk shot to kill fairy types and another option to kill grass types. he's the second sweeper, if kommo-o somehow fails to do his job, greninja joins the match.
Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Thunder Punch
mega mawile is the wallbreaker of the team, it does a really good job defeating the walls + it can sweep a little in the right conditions (with that i mean +2 atk). sucker punch is an almost mandatory move to use on mega mawile, it deals decent damage and allows mega mawile to hit faster pokemon such as landorus, even though i would switch to gliscor in this situation (oh sh*t, hp ice exists). play rough for stab and neutral coverage, and thunder punch to hit water type and ESPECIALLY toxapex.
Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
i needed a electric type for my team, then i said: 'why not magnezone?' i tried and he's actually pretty decent, however, my team has not so much trouble dealing with steel types anyway, so i could substitute him with another pokemon, but i don't know which one, so i kept him.. pretty standard moveset, ctrl c ctrl v from smogon OU magnezone review. also, i don't know if i use air balloon or choice specs on him.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 76 SpD / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Defog
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Taunt
this gliscor here was mainly designed to be a stallbreaker, defogger and hazard setter all at the same time. i don't know if that's a very good idea, but he's very decent, and i won some games because of him. he deals little damage with earthquake, he's not meant to attack, he's meant to scare these filthy electric types off so he can set a stealth rock with no problem. again, i don't think defog, taunt and stealth rock all in a same pokemon is a good idea, but it worked.
Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
i'll be honest, alakazam didn't do very much on the team. he's meant to be the revenge killer, but the pokemon that he's supposed to kill somehow outspeed him, almost all of the time. overall, he's pretty decent, but compared to the other pokemon on my team, he's not that great. i would replace him with another pokemon if i could think about a better one. standard set, psychic because it's alakazam, shadow ball because it's alakazam, focus blast is coverage for steel and specially dark types. hp ice to kill landorus and gliscor.
the flaws of the team
- no grass type move
- weak ground type coverage
- only one priority move
- no pivot
- if kommo-o, greninja and mawile are fainted, it's pretty much gg
- no haze
- no wall

the counters
drizzle pelipper + mega swampert swift swim combo
this simply DESTROYS my team. i have no way to stop swampert as i don't have any grass type moves, and he outspeeds the whole team with swift swim.
electric terrain koko + unburden hawlucha
if my alakazam is dead, it's gg, basically.
okay, i finished the post. if there's a grammar error, remember: i'm not a native english speaker.
also i don't like caps lock.
