[SET COMMENTS]
Flapple's Hustle-boosted moves are a force to be reckoned with, but they come with a huge drawback in lowered accuracy. Coupled with its fragility and middling Speed, Hustle makes Flapple a powerful but unreliable wallbreaker. Grav Apple tears through even Grass-resistant Pokemon such as Silvally-Steel and Copperajah. Outrage nails Vileplume, Weezing, and Drampa, which can otherwise take multiple Grav Apples or are immune to it in Drampa's case. It's also Flapple's strongest wallbreaking tool, but it leaves Flapple vulnerable to getting revenge killed. U-turn is used to keep up the momentum when Flapple can't break effectively, as well as whittling down its switch-ins. Sucker Punch is used to revenge kill weakened, faster threats such as Salazzle, Inteleon, and Braviary. Dragon Dance could be used over U-turn to bolster Flapple's wallbreaking prowess, but it's unadvised because even after a boost, Flapple gets revenge killed by all of the common Choice Scarf users. Choice Band is used to maximize Flapple's wallbreaking potential and guarantees the OHKO on Vileplume with Outrage after Stealth Rock. Life Orb can be used instead to make Flapple less prediction reliant, but then it misses out on the OHKO on Vileplume.
Due to Flapple's fragility, it appreciates pivots who can safely bring it onto the battlefield. Either Inteleon, Passimian, or Braviary can be used to create a potent VoltTurn core with Flapple, as together they either weaken or threaten each other's checks and counters. Inteleon deals with Virizion and appreciates Flapple decimating Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Snorlax. Passimian breaks through the Steel-types for Flapple, and Flapple returns the favor by breaking common Fighting-type switch-ins such as Vileplume, Weezing, and Jellicent. Braviary is able to weaken Steelix, Silvally-Steel, and other Steel-types for Flapple, and Flapple can obliterate sturdy Rock-types like Rhydon for Braviary. Xatu, Claydol, and Vikavolt are also notable pivots. Xatu and Claydol can guarantee a safe switch-in for Flapple with Teleport. Xatu also blocks Vileplume from healing with Strength Sap, which means Flapple does not have to lock itself into Outrage. Vikavolt provides a slow Volt Switch and Sticky Web support; Flapple works wonders with Sticky Web, as it helps with its mediocre Speed tier.
