Flapple has some merit as a Dragon Dance wallbreaker thanks to its Hustle-augmented Attack stat. After only one Dragon Dance, Flapple can OHKO bulky Pokemon like Toxapex and 2HKO ones that resist its STAB attacks like Ferrothorn. Additionally, although it's Speed is still low after using Dragon Dance, it's just enough to outspeed many non-Choice Scarf Pokemon like Gengar and Hydreigon. However, Flapple has difficulty setting up with poor bulk and can't sweep with such below average Speed. Flapple also suffers from Hustle's miss chance, but because it's so weak, Hustle is mandatory because without it, Flapple can't 2HKO Toxapex at +0 or OHKO it at +1. It doesn't help that its best counter, Corviknight, is very common, and it's still outsped by some faster Pokemon like Barraskewda and Cinderace after a boost. As a result, Flapple is almost entirely outclassed by more consistent Dragon Dance users like Gyarados. Grav Apple is a reliable STAB option that always drops Defense, putting most Pokemon into KO range from another Grav Apple or Outrage, and pressures Fairy-types such as Clefable and Hatterene. Outrage is Flapple's strongest STAB attack and 2HKOes virtually everything bar Dragon-immune Pokemon once boosted. Sucker Punch is helpful priority against faster Pokemon such as Dragapult. Life Orb and an Adamant nature maximize Flapple's power, as it isn't surviving any hits, and the extra Speed from Jolly doesn't let Flapple outspeed anything relevant at +1.

Flapple pairs well with other offensive Pokemon that can take advantage of its counters and create setup opportunities for it. Hatterene in particular beats most defensive Pokemon that would like to come in on Flapple such as Ferrothorn and Galarian Corsola. Other wallbreakers such as Dracovish, Galarian Darmanitan, and Mamoswine appreciate Flapple beating down their defensive checks into KO range or just OHKOing them outright. In return, they threaten the Steel-types that frustrate Flapple like Ferrothorn and Corviknight. In general, any Pokemon that can reliably take advantage of Corviknight, Flapple's most common counter, makes a good teammate. An example of this would be Trick users such as Rotom-W, which can cripple Corviknight and other physical walls.

Hey leonard (from big bang theory), because Flapple doesn't really do everything a Choice Scarf user needs to do right now (it can't revenge Gyarados), we'd like to see a different set.

Instead of what you have right now, we'd like to see this set:
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Grav Apple
move 3: Outrage
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Hustle
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
This set's the best Flapple can do right now. It's pretty strong at +1, being capable of 2HKOing Pokemon like Ferrothorn and OHKOing Pokemon like Toxapex and some Corviknight. If you need any more help, please let us know!

Flapple has some merit as a Dragon Dance Wallbreaker thanks to its Hustle-augmented massive Attack stat. After only 1 Dragon Dance Flapple can OHKO bulky Pokemon such as Toxapex and 2HKO bulky resists like Ferrothorn. It's speed is still slow after a Dragon Dance, but enough to outspeed many non-Scarfed Pokemon. Grav Apple is a reliable STAB option that always drops defense, dropping most Pokemon into OHKO range from another Grav Apple or Outrage. That's not an OHKO. Also, it's important to note that Grav Apple pressures Clefable and Hatterene. Outrage is Flapple's strongest STAB and 2HKOes virtually everything bar immunes once boosted. Sucker Punch is helpful priority against faster Pokemon such as Dragapult. Life Orb and an Adamant nature maximize Flapple's power, as Flapple isn't surviving any hits and the extra speed from Jolly doesn't outspeed anything relevant at +1. While Flapple's sheer power may make it an appealing choice, Flapple suffers from having non-existent bulk and not a lot of common resistances, which when paired with its terrible Speed tier makes finding set-up opportunities difficult. Hustle's miss chance also hurts a lot, but the attack boost is essential for Flapple to function. I'd like for you to provide one or two examples of KOes that Flapple misses out on without Hustle. Due to these factors Flapple is almost entirely outclassed by more consistent Dragon Dance abusers such as Gyardos. Throughout this preview, the fact that it struggles with Corviknight isn't brought up even once; it should be.

Flapple pairs well with other offensive Pokemon that can take advantage of Flapple's counters and create set-up opportunities for it. Hatterne in particular beats most defensive Pokemon that would like to come in on Flapple such as Ferrothorn and Corsola-Galar. Other wallbreakers such as Dracovish, Darmanitan-Galar, and Mamoswine appreciate Flapple beating down their defensive checks into KO range, or just OHKOing them outright. Mostly any Pokemon that can reliably abuse Ferrothorn, Flapple's most common counter, makes a good teammate. Ferrothorn's a good check, but definitely not a counter, especially when considering that it isn't running Gyro Ball that often right now. An example of this would be Trick users such as Rotom-Wash, who can cripple Ferrothorn and other physically defensive walls. You don't mention Pokemon that deal with Corviknight anywhere here, which is really important.

Good job, sorry that we asked you to change the set after you had already written it up, 1/2.

  • Mention some examples of these "non-scarfed" Pokémon, like Gengar, Hydreigon, I guess, but also mention the ones that it doesn't outspeed even at +1 (Barraskewda, Cinderace, etc.)
  • Also, move the Corviknight bit to the start of the first paragraph as that part ends up being the spiritual successor of the overview and it's nice to paint a more realistic picture of this mon!
I'm mostly nitpicking here, great job friend :)

Flapple has some merit as a Dragon Dance Wallbreaker wallbreaker thanks to its Hustle-augmented massive (having 'massive' here implies Flapple's Attack is great and being further boosted by Hustle, which isn't really true) Attack stat.
