altaria-mega.gif

Flaaffy (Altaria) @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 232 HP / 180 SpD / 96 Spe
Careful Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Refresh -> Heal Bell
- Return
- Roost

The 1st pokemon i chose was Mega-Altaria, the threat itself. It's used mostly as a status absorber, set up sweeper and to sponge hits. M-Altaria is also the main electric attack check.

EVs are 232 HP / 180 SpD / 96 Spe. With 96 speed Altaria will always out speed max speed base 100 (mainly Mega-Charizard x/y, Mega-Gardevoir and partly Mega-Medicham). The rest is distributed in HP and SpD which makes it a pretty decent check to electric types and other specially orientated attacker.

The move set is dragon dance, refresh, return/frustration and roost. DD is for boosting and punching through teams while refresh Heal bell is there to help against statuses. Return is the main attacking move and roost to keep Altaria healthy.
252+ SpA Life Orb Teravolt Kyurem-B Ice Beam vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 291-346 (83.3 - 99.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Mega Alakazam Psychic vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 150-177 (42.9 - 50.7%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO

252 SpA Mega Manectric Hidden Power Ice vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 102-120 (29.2 - 34.3%) -- 2.9% chance to 3HKO

216 SpA Life Orb Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 149-177 (42.6 - 50.7%) -- 3.1% chance to 2HKO

252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Fire Blast vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria in Sun: 116-137 (33.2 - 39.2%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Icy Wind vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 134-158 (38.3 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+3 252 SpA Manaphy Ice Beam vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 302-356 (86.5 - 102%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

+6 252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 232 HP / 180+ SpD Mega Altaria: 281-331 (80.5 - 94.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

641-therian.gif

BIRD (Tornadus-Therian) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 88 HP / 160 SpA / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Heat Wave

2nd pokemon i chose was Tornadus-T. It can check pokemon that would usually give Altaria trouble to sweep. Tornadus is also another nice pivot to special attackers.

EVs are 88 HP / 160 SpA / 8 SpD / 252 Spe. With timid nature and max Spe Tornadus out speeds max speed base 120 (Alakazam, Sceptile that hasn't mega evolved and dugtrio?) and speed creeps with other Tornadus-T. With 160 SpA it can OHKO keldeo with hurricane and 88 HP / 8 spD + AV makes so Tornadus can live ALWAYS shadow ball + sludge wave from LO Gengar.

The move set is Hurricane, Knock Off, U-turn, Heat Wave. Hurricane is there to dish out nice damage and OHKO Keldeo. Knock off is just a nice move in general. Can kill weakened gengars, lati@s and get rids of items (M-Altaria can potentially beat none lefties spD Heatran). U-turn is to grab momentum and Heat wave to deal with Ferrothorn and Scizor. Both previously mentioned pokemon counters Mega-Altaria.
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 88 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 122-146 (38 - 45.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
(122, 125, 126, 129, 129, 130, 133, 134, 134, 136, 138, 140, 140, 142, 144, 146)

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 88 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 146-173 (45.4 - 53.8%) -- 44.9% chance to 2HKO
(146, 148, 149, 152, 153, 156, 156, 157, 160, 161, 164, 165, 168, 169, 172, 173)

If you can't math, 88 HP EV Tornadus has 321 HP. 173 + 146 = 319

227.gif

Yellow Skarmory (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 12 Def / 248 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Defog

3rd pokemon on my party is Skarmory. It's job is to counter/check fairy types such as Mega-Altaria, Mega Gardevoir, Mega-Diancie, Sylveon or Clefable to an extent. Skarmory is also the defoger. Defog helps Tornadus-T a lot and Altaria if it hasnt mega evolved yet.

The move set is Iron Head, Whirlwind, Roost, Defog. Iron head is Skarmory's main attacking move although it's job is most of the time tank hits and double switch into something else. Iron Head helps against Fairy types and ice types such as Weavile. Whirlwind helps against setup sweepers and wish passers, also helps against CM clefable with no Flamethrower. Roost to heal back HP and Defog to get rid of hazards which helps Tornadus as i mentioned in the previous paragraph.

EVs are 248 HP / 12 Def / 248 SpD. It's basically maxed out HP and spD. 248 Hp and 12 Def let's Skarmory take 2 +2 Returns from Mega-altaria.

+2 192+ Atk Pixilate Mega Altaria Return vs. 248 HP / 12 Def Skarmory: 149-176 (44.7 - 52.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Mega Diancie Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 248+ SpD Skarmory: 138-164 (41.4 - 49.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

232 SpA Mega Gardevoir Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 248+ SpD Skarmory: 140-165 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

479-wash.gif

Voltages (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

4th pokemon on this list is Rotom-W. It's the Talonflame and Azumarill counter on this team. Can also cripple physical attackers and gives M-Altaria more opportunities to set up. Forms with Tornadus-T Volt-Turn core.

The move set is Volt Switch, Hydro Pump, Pain Split, Will-O-Wisp. Volt switch is there to gain momentum and also smacks water types. Also can hit Talonlame more reliably. Hydro pump is there
to hit ground types and fire types. Can be used if it's stallbreaker Talonflame because Volst Switch does zero damage. Pain Split + Leftovers to gain back health and W-O-W to cripple Azumarill and other physical attackers. W-O-W can also be used to get more residual damage (for example on Ferrothorn, Slowbro and such).

EVs are 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD. Max Hp and Def makes Rotom-W more bulky. The spread with 44 Spe is not needed as Jolly Azumarill is pretty much none existent in ORAS OU. 0 attack IV so it would take less Foul Play Damage and 30 Spe IV so Rotom-W can get slower Volt Switch against other Rotom-W.

hippowdon.gif

Fat (Hippowdon) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Toxic

The team is almost complete and most threats are covered. Now it's time for the Stealth Rocker. I started originally with Heatran but then after getting 6-0'd by Mega Charizard X and M-Lopunny, i switched to Hippo. It's also an excellent counter to Mega-Metagross unless it has Grass Knot.

The move set is Earthquake, Stealth Rock, Slack Off, Toxic. EQ Hippow's main attacking move and KOs weakened Zard-X and M-Metagross as well as weakens TankChomp. Stealth Rock is for getting residual damage on switch ins. Slack Off to keep Hippo healthy and last slot is optional to be honest. It can be Toxic to beat foes like Zapdos, Unaware Clefable and other stupidly bulky walls or whirlwind to shuffle teams and get off SR damage or shut down set up sweepers. (2 phazing users is kinda meh so you can maybe try Taunt on Skarmory)

EVs are 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def. Max HP and Def so Hippo can counter Zard-X and M-Lopunny. The mixed wall set is also nice but then PUP Lop just punches through the team.

keldeo-resolute.gif

Keldeo-Resonant (Keldeo) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 SpA -> IVs: 30 HP / 0 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpA / 30 SpD
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric] -> Flying

Last pokemon on this team is Keldeo. It helps with checking Bisharp (while Hippowdon also checks/counters it, it doesn't like getting it's Leftovers knocked off) and Weavile. With Choice Specs it can 2HKO manaphy with Secret Sword/HP electric or clean up weakened teams.

The move set is Scald, Hydro Pump, Secret Sword, HP Electric. Scald is there to get of safe damage (hydro miss) + potential burn. Hydro pump to KO when the risk is needed. Secret sword to hit on the physical side and destroy special walls. HP Electric to hit Water types which this team can deal with to an extent only. HP electric > HP bug on this team because Celebi and Lat@s aren't a big problem for this team. HP Flying to lure in grass types such as M-Venusaur

EVs are 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe. Max speed with Timid nature let's Keldeo speed tie with other 108 base speed. 252 SpA so it can hit has hard as possible.

Team synergy
gm9SHT1.png

Threats to look out for
036.gif
- Clefable is a pretty big problem to this team. If its Unaware, try to beat it by knocking off it's leftovers and toxic stall it. If its magic guard, knock off item and dont let it get too many CM boosts (whirlwind)

490.gif
- Tail Glow 3 attack manaphy destroys this team. Beat it by pivoting from Rotom-W into Tornadus-T predicting energy ball. Hurricane + U-turn + Secret Sword should be able to finish it off. (doesn't always work - requires to predict)

094.gif
- LO Shadow ball 2HKOs most members on this team, try to keep Tornadus-T and Skarmory relatively healthy to beat it.

Conclusion
A fun team that took about 1 week to build, improve and played with. Hope you guys will have a fun time playing with this team n_n

Pretty nice team tbh :] I have just a few small changes I think you could try.

Firstly, This team has very little for Mega Venusaur, your only way to beat it is Tornadus, which is hard walled by Venusaur's greatest partner, Heatran. Tornadus is also easily worn down by Stealth Rock damage, status, and
252+ SpA Mega Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 88 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Tornadus-T: 112-133 (34.8 - 41.4%) -- 69.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
its not like Torn takes 2 Sludge Bombs from Offensive Venusaur anyway. Whenever I rate RMTs I try not to change the integrity of the team, so I'm keeping that in mind here. I would suggest trying HP Flying Keldeo over HP Electric. Not only does this give you a great way to lure in Venusaur and hit it for big damage. Also I don't think you really need HP electric as you already have Rotom + WW Skarm for things like Gyarados.

Another smaller change, I would suggest Heal Bell over Refresh on Mega Altaria. Whilst Refresh does allow you to win more 1v1s, your team is very susceptible to status, with nothing on your team appreciating burn, or toxic damage. Heal Bell also still functions as Refresh does in the short term, obviously with just far less PP.

Good luck with your team and testing :]

TL;DR

647-resolution.png
HP Electric --->
647-resolution.png
HP Flying: To lure bulky grasses, specifically Venusaur and Celebi.

334-mega.png
Refresh --->
334-mega.png
Heal Bell: Increases the longevity of your team overall, as much of the team is susceptible to status, also functions similarly to Heal Bell in most cases anyway.

Thanks for taking your time writing this rate! n_n

sky attack Altaria jk jk

on a serious note, yeah, Mega-Venu is a threat for this team as Tornadus can never hit a hurricane, idk why its not in the threat list lol (maybe cuz i havent seen one on the ladder for a long time).

HP flying keld and Heal Bell Altaria is definitely cool and I'll try out!
