[SET]
Fluffy (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Rocky Helmet / Leftovers
Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Smack Down / Taunt
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
[SET COMMENTS]
With a solid defensive typing and physical bulk with Fluffy, Landorus-T functions as a physically defensive pivot against some of the tier's most threatening physical attackers in Zamazenta, Great Tusk, and Roaring Moon while also having offensive stats to damage many Pokemon in return. Smack Down threatens Flying-types like Corviknight, Zapdos, and Skarmory as well as common Levitate users such as Gholdengo and Tinkaton, while Taunt can prevent Defog and Roost from the aforementioned Corviknight or setup of entry hazards from Pokemon like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu. Rocky Helmet provides chip damage against the strong physical attackers Landorus-T is able to check like Zamazenta as well as Corviknight and Great Tusk, which may be looking to use U-turn or Rapid Spin, respectively. Leftovers can also be used to provide longevity, allowing it to withstand more hits from physical attackers and mitigating the chip damage from Stealth Rock. 8 Speed EVs allow Landorus-T to outspeed Choice Specs Primarina and Hisuian Goodra.
Landorus-T is used mostly on offensive and balanced teams as role compression for both an entry hazard setter and a defensive pivot, being one of the few Pokemon with access to both Stealth Rock and U-turn. Offensive Dark-types like Roaring Moon, Kingambit, and Chien-Pao appreciate Landorus-T's ability to pivot in on Zamazenta and its ability to threaten Corviknight as well. Special attackers like Gholdengo, Primordial Sea Zapdos, and Latios can threaten Landorus-T, so specially defensive pivots like RegenVest Swampert and Iron Hands complement Landorus-T well. Landorus-T can be threatened by Ice-type coverage from both Chien-Pao and Iron Hands, which makes Steel-types like Gholdengo and Kingambit potential allies to alleviate the issue. In return, Landorus-T provides a natural Ground immunity and Fighting resistance for them. Landorus-T appreciates hazard removal, so Pokemon ike Iron Treads, Great Tusk, and Corviknight make for nice teammates. Due to Fluffy, Landorus-T can be susceptible to opposing Fire-types like Cinderace and Ogerpon-H; thus, it values Fire-immune allies like Well-Baked Body Gholdengo and Primordial Sea Zapdos.

Other Options
=============
Landorus-T can utilize Desolate Land to both act as a switch-in to Primordial Sea users like Zapdos and Primarina and threaten Steel-types like Corviknight and Skarmory with Weather Ball, although it would be forgoing its pivoting capabilities. Landorus-T can also be used as a fully offensive wallbreaker with Mold Breaker or Sword of Ruin in conjunction with STAB Earthquake and solid coverage options. Well-Baked Body can also be utilized let it act as a defensive pivot against Fire-types like Iron Moth, Moltres, and Heatran.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Special Attackers**: Strong special attackers like Latios, Gholdengo, and Deoxys-S all OHKO Landorus-T.
**Ice-type Coverage**: Ice-type moves from Iron Hands, Chien-Pao, and Great Tusk can seriously threaten Landorus-T.
**Bulky Water-types**: RegenVest Water-types such as Primarina, Swampert, and Manaphy can stomach hits from Landorus-T while also threatening it with Water-type moves or Knock Off in return.
