Intro:
Hey guys im new to smogon and have been doing wifi battles for a month now, I usually play stall and thsi is my first offensuve team.

Team Building:

Ok So i wanted to build a team around this guy called flygon. He's good at revenge killing and is a great scout. Flygon is mainly in need of someon to chip at hp, a great switch in and entry hazard/weather support. The first person i needed to find was a pokemon that was a late game hp chipper.Tyranitar was the abvious candidate because he has DD and supplies sandstorm support to kill cresselia which flygon fears.

Next i needed a lead who could stop other leads and also set up an entry hazard, my favourite candidates were jirachi and smeargle but jirachi is a bad partner for tyranitar so i got smeargle with the lead set.

Smeargle is weak against many leads which ghosts can counter, such as azelf and aerodactyl. Gengar, Dusknoir and spiritomb were them. Gengar has a great moveset for stalling wheras dusknoir and spiritomb have more defenses. I chose gengar, why? because of levitate and his many more resistances and capabilities of sweeping.

Next I needed a mixed sweeper to shut down the very annoying combo; SkarmBliss. The nest candidate was infernape by a very, very long way because of hios outsanding movepool.

Finally, flygon's partner. It'd have to be someon who resisted ice and dragon attacks, a steel type. Steels work great with flygon as he covers fire and ground attacks. I thought of metagross and scizor. Metagross isn't very good at sweeping early game which is what i need, so i decided to take choice band scizor.

IN DEPTH

Celebi
Timid
Natural Cure
Occa Berry
80 hp/ 252 spA/ 180 spe
-Stealth Rocks
-U-turn
-Leaf Storm
-Earth Power
Celebi is a better option than smeargle and counters my bulky water type weakness

*Revenge Killer*
flygon.png

Flygon(M)
Jolly
Levitate
Choice Scarf
4 hp/ 252 atk/ 252 spe
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-U-turn
-ThunderPunch
This is my primary revenge killer and is used after tyranitar, scizor and Mixape. He has a great stab combo and outspeeds +1 salamence.

*Staller/Sweeper/BlissBane*

gengar.png

Gengar(M/F)
Timid
Levitate
Life Orb
4 hp/ 252 spA/ 252 spe
-Pain Split
-Substitute
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
Gengar may seem to be an average staller but this gay is beast at it. His life orb and substitute allow him to reach low health easily and pain split. He owns blissey and scroes a 2hko on most cresselia.

*Late-Game cleanup/ Cresseliabane*

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar(M)
Jolly
Sand Stream
Babiri Berry
250 hp/ 128 atk/ 4 spd/ 128 spe
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
This guy owns cresselia but unfortunately he's always unlucky. I always miss with stone edge. This guy is used when gengar faces cresselia and hits her once, he switches causing moonlight to not heal enough, this means that t-tar can KO her.

*Sweeper/Scout*
scizor.jpg

Scizor(M)
Adamant
Technician
Choice Band
248 hp/ 252 atk/ 8 spe
-U-turn
-Bullet Punch
-Pursuit
-SuperPower
This guy is absolutely awesome and is a very good partner to flygon. His 4x weakness to fire is covered by flygon while he covers flygon's 4x ice weakness.

*Mixed Sweeper*
infernape.png

Infernape(M)
Naive
Blaze
Life Orb
64 atk/ 252 spa/ 192 spe
-Grass Knot
-Flamethrower
-Vaccuum Wave/T-punch
-Close Combat
This guys is meant for one purpourse; to point out the weaknesses of the opponents team. He also shuts down stall combos like SkarmBliss.
This is a wifi team so no rotom formes ect.
Changes will be in BOLD
ENJOY!

This is actually a very good team for your first try. However, dd gyrados can setup on a few pokes and sweep your team. For example, scizor locked into anything or flygon locked into eq. So to fix this i'd change flygons stone edge into thunder punch.

Next smeargle absoultely sucks in ou. He loses to a ton of leads. So id test a lead celebi over him with hp fire and not u-turn, reason being to stop skarm and forteress from spike stacking on you. Also it helps against scizor. The reason i suggest celebi is because he can beat bulky waters (and to a lesser extent grounds) witch your team has trouble with and loses to almost nothing. Here is the set http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/celebi

Make sure you watch out for dd salamence who can possibly sweep you if scizor gets trapped by magnezone. Hopefully he goes to ubers though.

I don't think that infernape really belongs on this team. Infernape is too fragile and offensive teams play off the resistances. Unfortunetely, even a strong enough attack from a not very effective move can deal half health add this to rocks from switching in, lo recoil and sandstorm and infernape dies fast.

I think you may want to consider mixed tyranitar and put something like dd kingdra in your last spot to really soak fire attacks aimed at scissor.

Look, smeargle may be a very average lead but no other poke suits the position. Jirachi and celabi enhance the fire weakness so there a no go. Smeargle also works well with gengar support and Infernape dies fast but tyranitar is'nt sent out early because of him having a bad early game movepool and a bad typing, therefore infernape is a must-keep for early game. and kingdra? ive already got a DD who is betta at doing it.

Ok lemmie spell it out for you. It doesnt matter if they enhance the fire weakness because you have 3 pokes that resist it already. Sure infernape is frail but flygon outspeads all versions of heatran and ttar can take plenty of fire attacks. Smeargle is litteraly not taking anymore fire attacks then celebi or jirachi because he will be 1hko'd by any decent fire attack in ou. Also celebi runs occa berry and earth power witch actually allows it to beat heatran and sometimes infernape. I had to lol at the gengar support thing. Smeargle is so frail people wont even bother using fighting attacks against him. Metagross will just 2hko you with mm+bp, jirachi will flinch hax you, tyranitar will crunch you, and gengar cant ko machamp regardless. He (gengar) also dies fighting infernape. Trust me dude, smeargle sucks. Use anything but him.

Care to share how you handle vaporeon?

On DDtar, go with 252 Atk / 252 Spe /4 HP, Jolly. This enables you, after a DD, to outspeed +base 115's. Your team is quite fast-paced. I would suggest a suicide lead to give you momentum against other teams. Azelf and Aero comes to mind.

Good luck on the team.

I disagree with this, he really needs a wallbreaker on this team. Mixed ttar is too easily walled and kingdra isnt a wallbreaker. I guess you can try rain dance kingdra if you want.
