Metagame Formemons

This meta lets you use all the forms you can use (unless banned, of course) even if they don't exist in Gen 9. This would mean Mega Kangaskhan would also be legal here. All making a Nat Dex version of this OM would do is let you use Pokemon that don't have different forms and aren't in Gen 9 (for example, Ferrothorn)
1744317119162.png

The OP seems to beg otherwise, as Mega Kangaskhan and the other listed Mega Evolution aren’t allowed because the original forms are also unavailable.

I suggest to check the whole OP, including the FAQs, before replying or posting responses like this.

What are the HP evs on diancie for? Doesn't focus sash guarantee 2HKOs anyway?
Idk if this counts as a one liner but just in case:
Douglas (Dugtrio) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Endeavor
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch
Underrated imo and can usually get 1-2 KOs every game if u play it right
252+ SpA Greninja-Ash Water Shuriken (20 BP) (3 hits) vs. 144 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 234-276 (84.4 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Ribombee Moonblast vs. 144 HP / 0 SpD Diancie-Mega: 117-138 (42.2 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

lets u always beat bee with just clicking rock tomb twice by letting it not be able to just 2HKO u with moonblast and getting up webs next turn and ensures u always get a moonblast or stealth rock up against modest gren. Also lets u survive two Tera steel choice band bullet punches from scizor if ur Tera steel which is another great option for diancie

Got a new team that I got to number 5(bugcatcherziek) and 10(sad sad lana) with just recently and thought I would share it. I lost 4-5 games I can’t remember could be either but won the rest of them
1744556416245.png

Got the Fire (Groudon-Primal) @ Earth Plate
Ability: Desolate Land
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Atk / 32 Def / 12 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Thunder Wave
- Rock Tomb
- Spikes
I had came up with this set cause I’ve been noticing people love to go hard mega ray/pogre on pdon. This sets allows you to switch in on pogre and get a twave or kill it or twave an opposing pogre coming in and ohko it. Earth plate lets u be able to run more bulk while still getting that ohko on pogre. Rock tomb and spikes is for utility
1744556687084.png

Walks With it (Koraidon) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Orichalcum Pulse
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Outrage
- Low Kick
- U-turn
Just a good scarfer that is strong and has u turn. Dual wing beat can be run over flare blitz to kill bee before getting to move but that really just comes down to if u wanna cause I barely used flare blitz and diancie nearly always blocks webs
1744556923372.png

Talks With it (Chien-Pao) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Ice Spinner
- Crunch
Really fast and strong mon that can outspeed most things. Sash lets you turn ur brain off when hazards aren’t up allowing u to be able to freely click swords dance or attack twice. Dark typing and sucker really helps against all the tera ghost mons for espeed. Just a really solid mon.
1744557370772.png

Bonnie on the Side (Diancie-Mega) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 144 HP / 112 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Tomb
- Moonblast
- Endeavor
Same set as my last post just a really annoying lead mon and sometimes solid offensive tool. Sometimes you will wanna Tera steel if you know u can win with a certain mon chipped or dead but thats rare
1744557632325.png

Sad Girl (Kyogre-Primal) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Primordial Sea
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Spout
- Origin Pulse
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
Typical scarf pogre. Switch in and click button
1744557699886.png

Bad Girl (Banette-Mega) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Poltergeist
- Destiny Bond
- Encore
- Shadow Sneak
This Mon is incredibly cheap mostly used early to mid game to cheese a kill so ur other mons can breeze through way easier. The combo of focus sash poltergeist shadow sneak destiny bond and encore lets u put ur opponent in a rough trap if they don’t have a dark type with taunt/recovery or priority that’s not espeed. I’ve gotten many games where I get 3 kos with this mon because poltergeist into a shadow sneak kos their mons and then when the next Mon comes in if they don’t attack and trade with it via destiny bond they get encored and lose another Mon until they eventually trade. Max speed adamant to outspeed builker base 90 mons. It was able to survive In nat dex ou for a good while off of this and it doesn’t even get to use sash or have other megas on ur team it’s at minimum a tier for me

I'm not sure if this is intended, but without forme clause you can use multiple Arceus on the same team simply by using the type you want and giving it any item other than a plate. This allows players to stack multiple E-Killers on one team, a tactic I've only heard of in AG formats.

This is a good point, but unfortunately I think it's just something we're going to have to live with. Although now that you mention it that could actually be a really annoying team to play against. Idk if anything can be done about this other than maybe forcing all non normal arceus to hold their respective plate.

I feel like this could encourage tera ghost :koraidon: koraidon as a full-on counter to full arceus ekiller teams as it has fighting stab and can outspeed/be immune to its espeeds. (Although there could be that one tera ghost ekiller :arceus: arceus, but let's not dwell on that. :eeveehide:

most ekiller run tera ghost actually lol. I have yet to use/encounter a mono ekiller team so maybe we're safe for now. okay the actual reason I posted this was because there is a team I got to top 50 on ladder with that I like a lot and I am wondering how it could be improved. I would do an RMT but I didn't get any good replays.
:kyogre-primal:-:diancie-mega:-:banette-mega:-:dugtrio:-:rayquaza-mega:-:giratina-origin:

Anyways here's a quick breakdown:

Kyogre: Standard scarf set, not much to say here. I have contemplated some defensive teras but they mostly seemed too situational to be useful.

Diancie: Standard lead, dropped endeavor to be able to take kos sometimes. Not sure if that was the best choice honestly, I should maybe also run some bulk for ash gren but I don't see it that often tbh.

Banette: Stole this from Ziek_Freek, didn't realize it got encore so thanks for that. Amazing set tho and absolutely hilarious unless your opponent specifically prepares for it.

Dugtrio: Underrated IMO, one of the best revenge killers in the game and stops sweeps in their tracks. Tera ghost allows it to win the (non ddance) mray matchup which as it turns out is really useful. Just like Banette, can usually force at least 1 KO per game if you play right.

Ray: Most teams aren't prepared for special mray and this thing has amazing coverage. A lot harder to deal with than physical IMO.

Giratina: I started with Terapagos but spin blocking is not hard to come by in this meta so switched to Giratina. I'm not sure if this is a good EV spread but it's worked fine so far.

Anyways let me know your suggestions, I would love to know what I can improve!

:sv/Espathra:
I think Espathra is worth a mention in this Metegame due to one thing. Baton Pass.
Yeah Baton Pass is legal in this Metagame.
Espathra has Speed Boost + Baton Pass just like Blaziken, but unlike Blaziken, Espathra has 105 Speed (allowing it to outspeed neutral nature Mega Rayquaza and tie Arceus/Palkia-Origin) and has Roost. This means that Espathra can Sub on Rayquaza and always outspeed and carry speed boosts to any Pokemon, and then Roost up all the Sub damage when it has a chance to do so. It also makes it prime for full Baton Pass teams because in addition to healing and being faster than neutral Mega Rayquaza, you can keep your speed booster healthy the entire game.
Add on Tera Ghost to prevent Extreme Speed or Tera Dark to block Prankster, and Espathra is a nice pick for HO teams and BP teams.

Yeah, turns out Baton Pass is banned. So only niche is outspeeding Mega Ray, which won’t be important soon.

Did someone say E-Killer spam?
:Arceus: :Arceus-Ghost: :Arceus-Dark: :Lucario-Mega: :Rayquaza-Mega: :Groudon-Primal:
As you can tell, this is a bit Extreme when it comes to Priority. 5 Speedsters and a Brick Wall.
3 Arceus forms, actually using said forms too with different utility.
Normal is Standard and if it Terastallizes it gets the Adapt boost.
Ghost is for opposing E-Killers, as well as having STAB ghost moves to hit Giratina
Dark is for anti-Prankster, specifically Mega Banette, and also defensively helps against Ghost types. Taunt prevents Destiny Bond from activative.
Mega Lucario (technically the strongest E-Killer due to Adaptability and Tera)
Mega Rayquaza has an extremely strong E-Speed especially after STAB from Tera, and also hits hard outside of STAB + removes primal weathers.
And Groudon to support with hazards and walling capabilities.

now that meta's been around for a while and had time to settle, there is one thing that I want to say:
MEGA RAYQUAZA NEEDS TO GO. IT IS ON LIKE EVERY TEAM AND IS SUPER CENTRALIZING
:sv/rayquaza-mega:
anyway, here's an actual explanation of why I think it is broken.
On the surface, it doesn't seem like it would be THAT bad (despite being in the same tier as miraidon), since now its fellow members of the weather trio can hold items to supposedly match its absurdity. And honestly, some sets are just as easy to handle. mega Slowbro can easily 1v1 the original mono physical sets. However, unlike the other espeed spammers that have a hard time with mega Slowbro, rayquaza has a really freaking good SpAtk stat (and mega Lucario is frailer than a piece of wet paper and also even slower than ray so just dies to everything else). Uninvested neutral nature Draco Meteor 2HKOs uninvested mega Slowbro, and that's without considering the fact that if Rayquaza is boosted at all, slowbro can't switch in safely and needs a sac to come in. I personally run mixed mega ray with 252 SpA and even max SpDef mega Slowbro usually gets 2HKOed by thunderbolt. The Steel/Flyings that check (again, not mixed) Rayquaza are mostly dead weight slots otherwise and are easily eliminated by many other top threats in the tier. And just like mega Slowbro, they get ripped apart after a boost. Additionally, scarf is a niche pick that utterly decimates zacian and chunks Kyogre for a lot, meaning even out speeding and being able to tank espeed isn't always a viable option. The only pokemon that can reliably 1v1 any ray set is scarf koraidon, a Pokemon that outside its ability to check pogre could generously be described as "just okay" in most other roles. Mega Banette can 1v1 it as well, but is easy to play around (and also, mega Banette can reliably 1v1 nearly anything). The other issue is the bulk. It resists both primals' STABs and can usually tank at least 1 neutral hit. Additionally, heavy duty boots removes the threat of the ever present rocks to allow it to use its bulk to set up. Honestly, I probably wouldn't consider any of this quite banworthy were it not for the fact that Rayquaza just happens to be a fantastic enabler for other offensive mons. Its checks overlap nicely with many other threats in the tier, and if you do eliminate it, chances are you will have a much harder time dealing with the other three mons on the team that were checked by the thing that is now going to die to whatever comes in next. Similarly, other Mons can wear down mega rayquaza's checks and leave it free to sweep late game.

tldr: In my opinion, its offenses are just to much to handle and it has a ton of set diversity that makes it really difficult to check, and even if you do its going to force you to give up a lot.

Yeah honestly surprised it wasn’t banned initially. You literally have here a Deoxys Atk with usable bulk and better STAB and E-Killer potential. The fact too that it can use full special sets too makes Mega Rayquaza a serious problem.
Well tbh this metagame has tons of seriously problems too. Like Extreme Speed on its own honestly.
I made an E-Speed spam team as a joke and somehow it does decently when it really shouldn’t. It’s pretty hard to counter E-Speed in a limited meta like this where your best options are Giratina and Mega Banette, when the latter doesn’t work when you use Darceus and block all its prankster moves.

Hi there. I noticed that we are missing one of the most iconic formes of all time: PRIMAL DIALGA from the award winning Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

Primal Dialga
(Japanese: やみのディアルガ Dark Dialga) is the main antagonist of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It is located at the pinnacle of Temporal Tower, and is the final boss of the game's main storyline. Primal Dialga is actually Dialga after losing control of its ability to manipulate time due to the collapse of the Temporal Tower. In this form, it is also incapable of logical reasoning or showing mercy, only seeking self-preservation and preventing time from flowing properly. The player must return the Time Gears to the tower to restore the flow of time, calm down Dialga, and prevent the future where darkness rules.

As revealed in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Special Episode In the Future of Darkness, before they are erased from existence, Primal Dialga proceeds to punish Dusknoir for his failure, as well as Grovyle for trying to change the past. However, they escape, and eventually it's revealed that Primal Dialga's order was a plot for Dusknoir to take over Grovyle's body and return to the past to alter it. What Primal Dialga didn't count on was Dusknoir sympathizing with Grovyle and saving him at the last second; in response to this, Primal Dialga viciously attacks Dusknoir for his betrayal. In that moment, time starts to flow as a result of the player's victory in the past, and the returning flow of time affects Primal Dialga, causing it to go completely berserk and act on pure instinct, which leads it to the Passage of Time at the peak of Vast Ice Mountain. Primal Dialga then battles Grovyle, Dusknoir, and Celebi, but is beaten. After the dark future is erased, Dialga, Dusknoir, Grovyle, and Celebi are spared, and Dialga is restored to its normal state of being. Unlike his past self, Dialga states that this action was beyond his abilities and informs them they were likely saved by a being even more powerful than him.

Now you might be thinking this: Well, we don't know Primal Dialga's stats, and furthermore PMD isn't a canon game. this is where you're WRONG. You see, we do have a point of reference to calculate Primal Dialga's base stats:

1745062346680.png

Figure 1: Bulbapedia record of Level 48 Dialga's HP.

As shown in Fig. 1, I think we can safely conclude that Primal Dialga is most likely similar to Dialga judging by its movepool, ability and typing. Despite these similarities however, we must notice the extraordinarily impressive HP stat of 700 at lvl 48.

Figures 2a and 2b: Base and Actual HP stat of a Level 48 mon according to Pokemon Shgowdown Damage Calculator.

As you can see in Figs 2a and 2b, a 1 Base HP increase roughly corresponds to a 1 Actual HP increase. Based on this observation, we can conservatively estimate Primal Dialga's base HP to be about 608. Now that we have an accurate representation of the relative power between Dialga and Primal Dialga, we can simply multiply each of Dialga's base stats to recreate and introduce Primal Dialga into this tier.

April Fool’s day was 18 days ago.

For perspective;
547 Speed with no investment and a negative nature hits 1,017. That is still more than an Agility boosted Deoxys-Speed.
608 HP is almost double the HP Blissey has.
912 SpA fully invested and positive nature hits 2,115 (this easily OHKOs Blissey with a Draco Meteor)
+5 252 SpA Mewtwo-Mega-Y Psycho Boost vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Blissey: 781-921 (109.3 - 128.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO (stat modified to reach 603 and is 1 less than 2,115).

I forgot to save replay but I saw my opp use a arceus base form :arceus: but gave it a dark plate so it's typing will be dark:arceus-dark: instead. How big of a problem will it be or will we just be adaptive in this scenario on even more type mix-up shenanigains? :D

EDIT: I give up on getting reqs it's hard to adapt to higher ladder ngl :psysad:

dw it shows the type below the health bar if its not the same as the base form

Regardless of suspect result for M-Ray some teams I built and used or theorized. Not sure how much I will invest into the format in the future due to lack of motivation for mons these days but figured would drop ideas to close out the month for those who want to take inspiration or use as blueprint for ideas in the future.

Would probably just hard ban Last Respects otherwise formats pretty fun and still relatively unexplored with lots of options.
