In 4 days an entire month will pass since this slate has been announced. Why is it taking so long for slates to progress in this Pet Mod. The worst part is it has nothing to do with inactivity, just really poor management. Please shape up, thus Pet Mod is a very great concept and I would hate to see it devolve into madness or be abandoned over foolishness.

Yes sir! I’m tired so I’ll put mine in tomorrow

I have decided to move discussion to the Discord. We’ll come to a consensus on necessary nerfs and the like there and announce them with slate winners.
Subs will be open until the 31st

The first submission is a very fast Pokemon.

Pokémon: Shedinja
Typing: Bug / Ghost
Ability: Wonder Guard / Fur Coat / Magic Guard
Stats: 1 / 162 / 60 / 60 / 60 / 162 | 505 BST
New Moves: Shadow Bone, Sky Uppercut, Wish, Endeavor, Belly Drum, Roost, Parting Shot
Competitive (niche in Ubers): So I asked myself, "How can I make this broken, but without sturdy because that's too unoriginal?" This is my answer. Boosts in the 2 relevant stats and new fighting coverage should turn Shedinja into a threatening glass cannon. When wonder guard forces switches, Shedinja can use swords dance and then sweep, or it can use parting shot to gain momentum. Magic guard makes Shedinja immune to hazards instead of attacks. With a focus sash, Shedinja becomes a reliable revenge killer that is almost guaranteed to be able to hit twice before fainting. It can also use the endeavor/shadow sneak gimmick at level 100. Fur coat, wish, belly drum, and roost are there to further enhance its amazingness.

Pokémon: Golem
Typing: Rock / Ground
Ability: Sand Stream / Sand Rush / Technician
Stats: 95 / 140 / 90 / 65 / 115 / 95 | 600 BST
New Moves: Shore Up, Swords Dance
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Golem can act as a powerful offensive support option in Ubers as with its high Special Defense, Shore Up and Sand Stream, it can check the likes of Xerneas, Yveltal and Lunala with little issue. Both can break through with proper prediction, due to Golem's middling speed, but the support that is provided with Sand means that even if Golem takes a large chunk out of misplaying it can still recover off a large portion of its health.
If desired, one can run Sand Rush with Tyranitar in order to create a hard to stop sweeping monster, however, Golem must choose its Z move according to what threats it must beat, and the team must adapt to what's left with two Rock types. Technician lets Golem be an incredible wallbreaker with Rock Blast, but this is a niche option.

Golem @ Rockium Z / Groundium Z
EVs: 8 HP / 188 Atk / 60 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
Ability: Sand Stream / Sand Rush

Golem @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
Ability: Technician
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Stone Edge / Toxic

Pokémon: Altaria
Typing: Flying
Ability: Typhoon / Comatose
Stats: 140 / 100 / 100 / 100 / 100 / 60 | 600 BST
Typhoon: Summons strong currents which last for 5 turns, weakening Electric, Rock and Ice moves. Cannot override Primal weather.
New Moves: Aeroblast, Hurricane, Calm Mind, Earth Power, Boomburst
Removed Moves: Cotton Guard
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Altaria is a niche setup wall that can take on setup sweepers like Swords Dance Arceus-Ground and Marshadow, allowing it to carve through common balance structures. It is also capable of using Comatose to either use offensive setup or pull off a similar set with better matchups vs opposing weather.

Pokémon: Altaria-Mega
Typing: Flying / Fairy
Ability: Pixilate
Stats: 140 / 140 / 120 / 140 / 100 / 60 | 700 BST

Pokémon: Emolga
Typing: Electric / Flying
Abilities: Air Lock / Adaptability / No Guard
Stats: 70 / 60 / 80 / 140 / 110 / 140 (600 BST)
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Flash Cannon, Heat Wave, Surf, Hurricane, Focus Blast, Boomburst, Reflect, Memento, Parting Shot, Static Zone
Custom Move Information (if applicable): Electric, Status, ---BP, ---% Acc, 15 PP (max: 24)
Custom Move Description (what effects it has): For 5 turns, protects allied pokemon from the secondary effects of attacks, in addition to halving the damage of physical and special attacks. Light Clay does not extend the duration of this effect.
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Emolga finds itself a home in Ubers as a fast offensive support pokemon that can also take on many more offensive roles thanks to its well-rounded stats. While it may not be the most physically bulky, it carries good enough special bulk to stomach hits from pokemon such as Mega Gengar. Its high speed lets it abuse Parting Shot, Memento, and both of the Screens, in addition to its signature move, Static Zone, giving it great synergy with offensive threats such as Deoxys-A and Mega Gengar, making it a great addition for offensive teams. Switcheroo lets it easily mess up common defensive staples such as Zygarde-Complete and Ferrothorn, paving the way for its teammates to easily break them. Its fantastic role compression means that it's not restricted to pure support - thanks to its access to Nasty Plot and important coverage moves in Heat Wave, Surf, and Flash Cannon, on top of its fantastic offensive abilities in Adaptability and No Guard, Emolga can also function as a powerful late-game cleaner. It is admittedly held back by its poor physical defense stat and Stealth Rock weakness, but with proper support, Emolga can easily break open teams like nobody's business.

Pokémon: Simisage
Typing: Grass / Fighting
Abilities: Adaptability / Sheer Force / No Guard
Stats: 70 / 140 / 70 / 120 / 70 / 130 (600 BST)
New Moves: Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse, Close Combat, Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Drain Punch, Poison Jab, Swords Dance, Nature's Guardian (Z-move)
Custom Item: Simisagium-Z
Simisagium-Z: When held by a Simisage with Leaf Storm, it can use Nature's Guardian.
Z-Move Custom Move Information (if applicable): Grass-Type, Special, 190 BP, ---% Acc, 1 PP; Base move requires Leaf Storm
Z-Move Custom Move Description (what effects it has):
Summons Grassy Terrain for 5 turns.
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Simisage is able to find a place amongst Uber's fastest and most powerful pokemon as a fast mixed glass cannon thanks to its great offensive typing and offenses on both sides. Grass / Fighting it a really good STAB combo, letting it offensively check stuff such as Primal Kyogre, Ferrothorn Dusk Mane Necrozma, Arceus-Water, and Arceus-Ground while its vast pool of coverage moves let it check stuff such as Xerneas, Mega Gengar, Arceus-Fairy, and Mega Salamence. At the same time, its signature Z-move, Nature's Guardian, makes for a reliable one-time nuke, letting it break through stuff that it would otherwise struggle to break, such as Primal Groudon and Zygarde-Complete. As powerful as this seems, though, Simisage's damage output can be a bit underwhelming without a boost from Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, which can be a bit difficult given Simisage's fraility and poor defensive typing, and even after it sets up, it can still fail to KO certain threats such as Lunala without significant hazard-stacking, making it a bit difficult to fit on teams.

Pokémon: Golem

Are you sure weather abusers are a good idea when primals still exist? This Golem needs +1 physical attack to 2HKO Groudon and +4 to get a guaranteed OHKO.

252+ Atk Golem Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 56+ Def Groudon-Primal: 218-260 (53.9 - 64.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Golem Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Kyogre-Primal: 207-244 (60.7 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Ah yes, the coveted regular Groudon and defensive Primal Kyogre, totally common mons

Pokémon: Drifblim
Typing:

Abilities: Aftermath / Speed Boost / Flare Boost
Stats: 150 / 80 / 86 / 120 / 64 / 100 | 600 BST
New Moves:
Puff Up, Blimp Blast, Air Slash, Hurricane, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave
Blimp Blast: Flying, Special, – BP, 100% Acc, 10 PP (16 max)
Description: Damage increases the faster the user is than the target.
Base Power = min(120, (30 * User’s Current Speed / Target’s Current Speed) + 1) [In essence, a reverse Gyro Ball]
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Big focus on speed boosting here, with added Fire coverage for good measure (more later)

Pokémon: Rapidash
Typing:

Abilities: Flash Fire / Pixilate / Hard Hooves
Hard Hooves: Raises the power of contact moves by 1.3x (Tough Claws clone).
Stats: 95 / 100 / 70 / 90 / 80 / 135 | 570 BST
New Moves:
Swords Dance, Play Rough, Sacred Sword, U-turn
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Great offensive typing, good coverage, SD, etc. (more later) I'm torn between this or having higher Atk and no SD

Pokémon: Pyukumuku
Typing: Water
Abilities: Innards Out / Unaware
Stats: 75/60/130/30/130/5 (430 BST)
New Moves: Scald, Encore, Mirror Coat
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Ubers lacks a solid Unaware user on stall so here's one. Pyukumuku's good bulk allows it to wall common setup mons like offensive Arceus, Zygarde-Complete, Swanna, and Wigglytuff, although it cannot take on very strong mons like Attack-invested Primal Groudon, Xerneas, or Rampardos. Its high passivity also causes it to be trapped extremely easily by Gengar and Gothitelle.

Pokémon: Seviper
Typing: Poison
Abilities: Shed Skin / Infiltrator / Malicious (Dark-type Steelworker clone)
Stats: 83/120/90/80/90/110 (573 BST)
New Moves: Pursuit
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Seviper is a good stallbreaker, as well as an effective offensive check to Xerneas. Its speed allows it to outrun many defensive Arceus and Kyogre-Primal, allowing it to Taunt the former and do big damage to the latter. However, Seviper is walled well by Steel-types like Ferrothorn, as well as Ground-types like Primal Groudon.

Well, if we are going into the offensive I might as well do this.
Pokemon: Raichu
Typing: Electric
Abilities: Abilities it already has, electric surge or whatever Koko's ability was (as hidden ability because hidden abilities are referred to as dream abilities in gen 5)
Stats: 95/64/85/130/92/111 (577 BST)
New moves: Supercharge
Custom move information: Charges it's electricity to strengthen it's battle capabilities. Raises Special attack, special defense, and speed by one (quiver dance clone)
Competive niche: It'd be solid in ubers. It could take out Primal Kyogre with ease, OHKO Lugia if it isn't at full HP, can potentially sweep with super charge, utilizes thunder wave with 111 speed, faster than a good portion of Pokemon in ubers, has pretty good sp.attack to go alone with that speed, electric surge can boost it's electric attacks to even farther heights, can smack down yveltal pretty well, and possibly other stuff. However, it gets balanced out by Primal Groudon, who is everywhere, slays it, Ultra Necrozma would eat it for it's breakfast, Xerneas who set up geomancy can out speed and kill it (and if it was to be paralyzed that huge special bulk does favors), and most Arceus forms give it trouble. Overall, it'd be great, as while it can sweep and easily deal with common threats, it also struggles with other common threats.

All Hail Jynx!

DEDBB971-B52D-4C87-9E65-94762E4E003E.png

Pokémon: Jynx
Typing: Ice / Fairy
Abilities: Soundproof / Dry Skin / HA: Winter’s Wrath
Custom Ability Description (if applicable): Winter’s Wrath - Summons Permanent Hail while in battle, (Desolate Land / Primordial Sea clone).
Stats: 115 HP / 60 Atk / 105 Def / 115 SpA / 105 SpD / 100 Spe | 600 BST
New Moves:
Moonblast, Glacial Grace, Arctic Aurora (Z-move)
Custom Move Information (if applicable): Ice, Status, N/A – BP, N/A Acc, 16 PP | Gracial Grace - Heals 50% HP; summons Mist for 5 turns if Hail is active (same check as Aurora Veil).
Custom Z-Move Description (what effects it has): Ice, Status, N/A – BP, N/A Acc, 1 PP | Arctic Aurora @ Jynxinium-Z - Heals 100%, cures all status conditions including Sleep, and Freeze (it could be hit by Soak and then get Frozen); summons Misty Terrain for 5 turns if Hail is active (same check for Aurora Veil).
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Handles Persian, and can threaten many Dragon-types in Ubers. Isn’t afraid of going Defensive thanks to Aurora Veil, and Glacial Grace, while still packing offensive capabilities in Lovely Kiss, Nasty Plot and Blizzard.

Winter’s Wrath is completely walled by Kyogre-Primal due to typing, and Primordial Sea preventing Aurora Veil, stopping Glacial Grace and Arctic Aurora from activating their conditional effect, and reducing Blizzard’s accuracy to 70%.

Dry Skin sets allow it to switch into Kyogre-Primal, and Palkia’s STAB attacks, while still threatened by Thunder, and Groudon-Primal’s Desolate Land which eats away at 12.5% HP due to the weather. Fire moves are now 4x super effective and can KO.

Additionally, completely weak to Steel, and (Stealth) Rock, while still susceptible to Gengar due to a Poison weakness.

Jynx’a average Speed can be just enough to pull off a Lovely Kiss, Aurora Veil or just a Blizzard against some threats, but without a way to boost her Speed further, she is subdued with several weaknesses from faster threats.

Still, her rare typing and versatility to check Persian and others with Soundproof, Kyogre-Primal and Palkia with Dry Skin, as well as change the weather to apply Aurora Veil keeps it supportive without making it overpowered.

If it forgoes Winter’s Wrath, it cannot make the most of its new attacks, nor Blizzard. Further, if it uses its Z-Move then Misty Terrain actually prevents it from use Lovely Kiss except on Flying-types.
Overall there are always opportunity costs to balance out its buffs.

Also, if it wants to use the Z-move, it has to sacrifice Light Clay.

Pokémon: Exeggutor
Typing: Grass/Psychic
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Harvest / Retrograde* (Hidden)
Custom Ability Description (if applicable): User is immune to Ghost, Dark, Steel, and Fairy. Any Bug or Dragon moves targeting the user with 25 BP or more are reduced to 25 BP. Cannot be bypassed.
Code:
        onTryHit(target, source, move) {

        isUnbreakable: true,
Stats: 95/95/85/125/125/55 (580)
New Moves: Brain Power*
Custom Move Information (if applicable): Special Psychic-type, 90 BP, 10/16 PP
Custom Move Description (what effects it has): 33% chance to lower target's Special Attack and Special Defense by 1. Neutral against Dark and Steel.
Competitive (niche in Ubers): From one of the four kings of RBY OU all the way down to Unranked... what a way to fall. So naturally, what Exeggutor needs to keep up is a little infusion of Gen 1 magic! It gets its old special bulk and Ghost immunity back, and it doesn't have to worry about those newfangled types everyone's talking about. Or actually decent Bug and Dragon moves. And its custom move is literally just Gen 1 Psychic. Don't expect Necrozma or Xerneas to do too much against it, though it's not too fond of Groudon's powerful Fire moves.

How about giving it another ability like “Roots” -

All Damage the user takes, (weaknesses, immunities, or resistances) now deal neutral damage (Immunities include its Grass-Type Powder move immunity, or if it gets hit by a type changing effect like Trick-or-Treat and gains Immunities).

I view Roots as grounding out energy and neutralizing everything.

I think if you give it more Defense (adding 20 Def makes it hit the 600 BST suggestion), then it will be bulky enough to take hits on the physical without being too bulky to take down.

You can justify this improvement without being disloyal to your Gen 1 concept bc Exeggutor was one of the “Kings of OU”, but this Pet Mod is for Ubers so you can justify it taking more hits.

Afterall, just like in Ubers RBY, you had to face Mewtwo, and Exeggutor will need to do the same here.

TLDR- I made a couple of simple suggestions that can prevent it from being “a terrible idea”. I actually think Roots will be a fair and balanced ability.

Pokémon: Pyukumuku
Typing: Water

Pokémon: Seviper
Typing: Poison
Abilities: Shed Skin / Infiltrator / Malicious (Dark-type Steelworker clone)
Stats: 83/120/80/80/80/100 (543 BST)
New Moves: Pursuit
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Seviper is a good stallbreaker, as well as an effective offensive check to Xerneas. Its speed allows it to outrun many defensive Arceus and Kyogre-Primal, allowing it to Taunt the former and do big damage to the latter. However, Seviper is walled well by Steel-types like Ferrothorn, as well as Ground-types like Primal Groudon.
I believe your Seviper could get a bit of a Defense Buff, being weak to the common Psychic-types and Ground coverage moves can impact its ability to stay in. I think if you made its HP 89, a Life Orb number, and gave it 10 to both Defenses, it could last a little bit longer. 80s just seem a bit low for Ubers, even for an Offensive Check.

I also consider it may be good to give it a Signature Dark-Move to justify using it over another Dark-type like Yveltal, which is also pretty fast and has higher Atk and a Dark Aura ability to boost its STAB Moves.

I feel like Seviper needs a more specific niche, as it’s outsped by Darkrai, and outdamaged by Dark Aura Yveltal.

Perhaps a Dark-type move or ability that inflicts Toxic Poison, allowing it to differ from the other Dark-type attackers, while benefitting from its own lore and Pokédex. If you chose to take this route, with the Toxic Poison move, I could see Corrosion as an alternative ability over Shed Skin.

It has 4 immunities, and Dragon does barely anything to it either. It has a STAB only other Psychics resist - something the likes of Mew and Mewtwo had in Gen 1, but is now exclusive to itself. It still has Sleep Powder. I wasn't worried it was underwhelming, I was worried it was a weird, over-complicated gimmick. Given that you're suggesting a second ability I assume you disagree.

I just don’t want it to be overpowered like a mini Wonder Guard, especially since it cannot be bypassed even by Moongeist Beam, or Mold Breaker. Roots as a replacement to Retrograde was just an idea so it loses its weaknesses, but still has some drawbacks bc it loses its Immunities and resistances too.

It’s ultimately your submission though.

So... I like the idea, but the Bug and Dragon move nerf is a bit overkill. Considering the fact that this mon is already immune to 2 of its weaknesses, and Spore/Sleep Powder, it’s only fair that it maintains its only 4x weakness to balance things a little bit. It makes sense that its ability makes it immune to types that didn’t exist in Gen 1, but not that it affects Bug-moves at all. If that were the case, all Fighting-type moves shouldn’t be stronger than 85 BP, because that was how strong the strongest move was, and Psychic-type moves shouldn’t be stronger than 90 BP, etc, etc. The argument kinda falls apart when you look at the other types. If you wanted a mechanic for Dragon-type moves, a more sensible option would be making all of them do fixed HP damage based on their base power. I would still rather you just remove the effects on Dragon- and Bug-type moves, but if you must keep something of that effect, that’s how you should do it.

Pokémon: Jumpluff
Typing: Grass/Flying
Abilities: Prankster/Fluffy/HA: Infiltrator
Stats: 75/55/100/55/130/135 (BST 550)
New Moves: Light Screen, Parting Shot, Spore, Wish, Healing Wish (removed: Substitute)
Competitive (niche in Ubers): With an amazing support movepool, now rounded out with the accurate spore and three incredibly useful abilities, Jumpluff can have multiple amazing niches in Ubers: as a screen setter with both U-turn and Parting Shot to bring in a team mate; a physical wall with (the thematically adequate) Fluffy and reliable recovery in Synthesis and Leech Seed; and a cleric with Aromatherapy, Healing Wish and (a relatively low HP) Wish. Its incredible versatility and multiple roles create an interesting Pokémon that can fit into various teams, from providing screens in Hyper Offense to functioning as cleric in Balance or even having a viable role in Stall.

Substitute is removed to prevent a nigh impossible to break Sub Seed staller (with the only reasonable responses being grass/poison and grass/steel types with an offensive presence, the likes of mega-Venusaur or Ferrothorn). It is somewhat held back by its lackluster typing and lack of offensive presence but Parting Shot allows for a safer entry for a team mate. Spore and Leech Seed being prevented by grass types promotes the viability of an underused type and makes Jumpluff less overwhelming on the meta. Furthermore, note that Magic Bounce users are forced out by prankster Parting Shot, preventing Jumpluff from being helpless against them, especially if Hazards are up.

New Moves: U-Turn, Psyshock, Psycho-Boost, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Hurricane, Cosmic Power, Calm Mind
Competitive (niche in Ubers): Butterfree gains access to a new typing that provides great coverage, as well as making it less weak to rocks. Some decent bulk and Quiver Dance allow it to dish out incredible psychic terrain boosted Psycho-Boosts while being able to deal with dark types the likes of Arceus-Dark with its bug stab. It has difficulty to deal with Yveltal apart from Moonblast, although Psychic Terrain helps against a sucker punch that would otherwise decimate it.

Its new ability gives it a place in Psychic Spam teams and Tinted Lens makes its attacks even more difficult to wall without an immunity. Cosmic Power and Roost, paired with a quite accurate sleep powder give it a small defensive niche that can be explored.
